Roly Poly Penguins Card with Leanne

Hello everyone! Leanne here and I'm excited to start sharing some winter holiday cards made with all the fun new sets from the latest release. Today's card features the adorable images from Roly Poly Penguins.

Here are the Sunny Studio products you'll need to recreate this card:

• Roly Poly Penguins stamps & coordinating dies -  for penguins & accessory images
• Snowflake Circle Frame die - for die cut snowflakes
• Holiday Hugs stamps & coordinating dies - for greeting
• Stitched Square dies - largest die in the set for background mat
• Scalloped Square 2 Large dies - largest die in the set for scalloped mat

This card is a very easy to create so I won't go into too much detail about the process.  But below are some of the specifics if you want to recreate this design. 

Copics used for coloring the Penguins: black-N2,N4,N6; shading on white areas-N0,N2; orange-YR12, YR16; green-G20, G21,G24; pink-R80, R81, R85; blue violet-BV60, BV63; rosy cheeks-R00, R30

The finished card measures 5 inches square. The background is an ink blended combo of Catherine Pooler Hot Tub & Cummerbund inks. I love the soft aqua color this combo creates. Since this is a winter scene, I added lots of splatters with the diluted aqua ink and white paint. 

After I had the penguins and greeting adhered to the card, I filled in the extra space around the greeting with the little snowflakes. The snowflakes were die cut from plain white card stock and then I applied Stickles glitter glue to each to give them lots of sparkle.

Buffalo Plaid Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh. I am so excited to share this fun Christmas card that I made featuring the Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Die and the Roly Poly Penguins set. I am so in love with these adorable penguins! 

I wanted them to be the center of attention on my card but I wanted to add just a bit of interest to the background. The Buffalo Plaid Dies were just perfect to add a hint of subtle texture. There are two dies available: Buffalo Plaid Straight Die and Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Die. They can both be used as a stand alone element as I have used here today. Or they can be inked up with the Diagonal and Straight Stripes Stencils for a more vivid design. 

I stamped the penguins from the Roly Poly Penguins stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuexedo Black ink and used the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Dies to die cut them out. I love that the die for the middle penguin also cuts out the wings so that you can tuck a gift inside. I colored them with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Penguins: T3/5/7/9, W00/0, Y38 YR04, R00/20
Red: R22/24/27/29/39
White: C00/1/3
Blue: B000/00

For the background, I started with a piece of red cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"). I adhered a slightly smaller piece of white cardstock on top. Then I took a piece of light blue cardstock and die cut it with the Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Die. I trimmed the panel to be slightly smaller than my white panel before adhering it on top of the white panel. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the Warm Winter Wishes sentiment from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the coordinating Snowmen in Sweaters Dies to die cut it out. I adhered the sentiment and the stack of penguins onto the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. 

To add to the wintery vibes, I die cut and adhered a few snowflakes using the Basic Mini Shape 5 Dies. In an effort not to waste and to add more snow to my panel, I saved and adhered the little dots from the center of the snowflakes throughout the panel. Finally, I adhered the panel to a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Autumn Garland Card with Nicky

Happy Friday friends, this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps Blog and I have a new Fall themed card to share with you, showcasing the Autumn Garland set. Please continue reading for all the details.

This is an A2 card and I first created my card base and then I also created a panel of sturdy white cardstock with dimensions of 4 inches x 5 1/4 inches. I used Distress Oxide Ink in Speckled Egg to ink blend a soft focal point which I distressed a little by dotting in some interest with a metallic gel pen, a white gel pen and a Copic marker.

I backed this panel with white craft foam and applied it to the card base. I stamped the Autumn Garland image and coloured using the following Copic marker combinations:

Cones - E49, E44, E43
Leaves - E49, E44, YR27, E13
Group of Leaves (right of centre) - YG67, R05, R22, R20, R00
Green Leaves - YG67, YG95
Fir Sprigs- BG75, E42
Berries - R59, R37, R29

I die cut the image using the Autumn Garland Die, I backed the image with dimensional foam tape and applied it to the ink blended background panel.

The sentiments from Autumn Garland were stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed using Ranger's Copper Embossing Powder. The word "Autumn" was die cut using its coordinating die and then both words applied with dimensional foam tape, nestled under the garland.

I highlighted a few points using a white gel pen and then a few rose gold sequins were adhered here and there for final accents.
