Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the fun Build-A-Bowl Die set and the Strawberry Patch Dies set! I had so much fun creating this friendship card!

For my A2 size card I started by trimming a piece of pink card stock from my stash to 5,5 x 4,25 to cover the front of the card base. Next, I trimmed a piece of white card stock to 3,75 x 5 inches, I ink blended turquoise/blue ink with a light hand to create a soft background. I finished it off by splattering black acrylic paint to it!

I trimmed a piece of turquoise patterned paper from the Classic Gingham Paper pack to 1,25 x 5 inches and adhere it to the bottom of the ink blended panel, as a tablecloth! I adhered the panel to the card base.

I then die cut out the bowl and brim from kraft card stock from my stash using the Build-A-Bowl Die set. I placed the bowl part inside the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, applied dark brown ink inside the folder on the opposite side of the panel, closed the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a nice tone on tone brown woodgrain texture to the bowl. Using liquid glue, I adhered the rim.

Now on to creating the strawberries! Using the Strawberry Patch Dies set I die cut out a bunch of strawberries, leaves and blossoms and ink blended the pieces using different shades of pinks, greens and yellow! I assembled the parts using liquid glue.

Next, I stamped three of the cute penguins from the Passionate Penguins Stamps set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I die cut out the penguins using the coordinating Passionate Penguins Dies.

Penguins: W0/1/2, N3/5/6, R00/30/32, YR21/24/27

I had so much fun building this scene, placing the strawberries, leaves, blossoms and one of the penguins in the bowl and the other two penguins, additional strawberries, blossoms and leaves on the tablecloth using both liquid glue and foam dots for dimension! I used the hugs die from the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies set, I die cut one piece from pink card stock and one piece from black, to create a shadow and adhered it to the scene!

Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Build-A-Bowl and fruit dies.

For my card I cut a top fold white base card. Cut the front of the card using the inner piece of the Frilly Frames Hexagon dies to create a see thru card. Ink Blending a panel using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. Splattered some water and green ink and glued the panel on the inside of the card.

Die cut the strawberries out of the Strawberry Patch Dies using green, pink, yellow, black and white cardstock. Ink Blended the strawberries using Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. Glued the strawberries together. For the front panel I Inked up the leaves using Forest Moss before glueing them to the front of the card.

Die cut the Build-A-Bowl Dies out of white cardstock and glued the strawberries on the back before glueing them to the card. Die cut the word sweet using the Sydney Alphabet dies and white cardstock. Glued it on the inside before stamping birthday out of the Birthday Cat Stamp.

Used Copic Colors:
Black - T6, T4, T2
Yellow - Y38, Y35, Y32
Wings - B02, B00, B000, 0

Heat set the other sentiment from the same Birthday Cat Stamp on some black cardstock and trimmed it down to a small banner. Stamped the bees out of Sweet As Can Bee stamp, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Sweet As Can Bee dies. Added them to the front of the card and finished off using some wink of stella clear glitter on to the wings.

Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a card featuring Build-A-Bowl and Strawberry Patch dies.  

For this card, I started by die-cutting the card base from dark blue cardstock. I also cut a small strip from light brown cardstock to create the ground for my little scene. I masked off the edges of the brown strip and stamped the floor, using Sprawling Surfaces stamp set and adhered it onto the blue background.

Next, I die-cut the bowl and the word “hello”, using Sydney Alphabet,  from matte gold cardstock. From white cardstock, I die-cut the fruit, leaves, and blossoms from the Strawberry Patch die set and I blended ink onto it.

To make the card even more fun, I stamped two little monkeys from the Monkey Business stamp set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers. I attached one monkey onto the bowl as if it was hanging from it, while the second monkey was tucked between the strawberries holding a strawberry in its hand.

After adhering all the elements onto the card, I finished everything off by adding some dots alongside the letters. I absolutely love how vibrant and playful the entire scene looks against the dark blue background!

Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Yan

Hi there, It’s Yan here! There’s something so fun about creating cards inspired by fresh summer treats. Today’s project features a cheerful handmade card using the Build-A-Bowl Dies and Strawberry Patch Dies. I really enjoyed combining these sets to build a bright and playful fruity scene filled with sweet little details.

First, I die-cut the fruit basket pieces from Creamy Cardstock using the Build-A-Bowl Dies. At the same time, I die-cut several strawberries from white cardstock using the Strawberry Patch Dies and colored them with Copic markers. Then I picked some of the adorable bunny images from the Balloon Number Stamp set, stamped them onto Neenah Solar White Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored them with Copic markers to bring them to life. Once finished, I used the coordinating Balloon Number Dies to cut them out neatly.

COPIC COLOR:
Bunny : E30, E41, E43, E47, R30
Strawberry : R30, R32, R43, RV00
Leaf : G14, G19, Y00, YG03, YG17, YG63

For the background, I blended Distress Oxide Ink in Worn Lipstick onto a separate piece of white cardstock to create a soft, warm backdrop. I then die-cut the word “hugs” three times from another piece of white cardstock using the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies, and layered them together with liquid glue to add thickness and dimension.

Next, I arranged all the elements onto my card front and layered the strawberries inside the basket to create a full and cozy look. I added the little bunnies around the basket to make the scene feel extra playful and lively. To finish the card, I attached everything with foam tape and glue for added dimension and completed the design with a simple sentiment.

This was such a joyful project to create, and I love how the soft background and bright fruity elements work together to bring out a warm summer feel. I hope it inspires you to mix and match your dies and stamps in new and creative ways.
