Roly Poly Penguins Holiday Gift Tags with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and we are getting ready for the holiday season with these fun tags featuring the Mini Mat & Tag 1 and Mini Mat & Tag 2 die sets. Both sets contain rectangle mats but also all the elements to create fabulous tags.

To start, I die cut the bases for both tags from white card stock. Next, I used the same dies to create a sparkly snowbank from glitter paper. The sets have separate pieces for the tag toppers. For these I selected matching papers from the All Is Bright pack.

The white tag bases were colored with a cloud stencil from my stash and Distress Oxides Peeled Paint and Picked Raspberry.

I let these backgrounds dry and then added the toppers and snow. For the focal point and star of the show, I stamped and colored two adorable cuties from Roly Poly Penguins. I went with pink, teal and green Copic markers, a color combination I really like for winter projects. The penguins were added to the tags with foam tape for dimension.

Next, I got my splatter box out and some white paint which I diluted with a bit of water. I put the tags inside of the box and selected a fine brush to start adding some snow to the tags. The results are much more random than using a white gel pen, but I love the look on these little scenes.

The sentiment was taken from the Victorian Christmas set and I used matching teal and pink inks from my stash. Finally, I added some pink and green ribbon to the tags.

Diagonal & Striped Stencil Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, Tina here with two sweet mini cards! The backgrounds were handmade by using the Diagonal and Straight Stripes Stencils. I am a big fan of products that give you options, and that is exactly what these stencils are all about! The possibilities are almost endless, and I love all the unique looks you can create with this set!

Mini cards are so much fun to create, and they always make the recipient smile! For this set, I used two small white panels, one cut with a chevron edge (Mini Mat and Tag 4) and one with a scalloped border (Mini Mat and Tag 1). I inked them with the Diagonal and Straight Stripes Stencils in a soft Lilac ink from my stash and glued them directly to their card bases.

Next, I stamped the ‘Happy Holidays’ sentiment from Reindeer Games onto both panels in Versafine Onyx Black ink.

I love the Sunny Studio Stamps sets, and I couldn’t pick just one favorite … but there is a bear that has really stolen my heart from the moment I saw him (Holiday Hugs)! After stamping him twice, I selected fun pink, purple, teal and gray Copics to add color to these cuties. I also colored a present and a mug for them to hold.

After adding my usual white details, I adhered the bears to the striped panels with foam tape. A few Crystal Clear Jewels gave the cards that sparkly holiday bling vibe!

I love how easy it was to create two similar but different backgrounds and of course include those cute bears! Thank you for spending time with me and happy crafting!

Buffalo Plaid Die Focused Cards with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this trio of colorful Thank You cards showcasing the Buffalo Plaid Straight die and Buffalo Plaid Diagonal die. I used the cute turkeys from Turkey Day only one time last year, so I thought it would be nice to bring them back during this year's autumn season. And as you may already know, I looove to stamp and color images on kraft cardstock, especially on fall cards, so these cards were another occasion for me to have some fun, and I hope these will inspire you to try to do some coloring on kraft, if you haven't already.

And speaking of which, I started off by stamping my images on kraft cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers using a red, orange, yellow, green and brown color palette.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Turkey Day - turkeys, pumpkins, cup, leaves, slice of pie • Beautiful Autumn - oak leaf, acorn • Fall Friends - acorn • Happy Harvest - sunflowers.

Next I cut three panels out of kraft cardstock using the Mini Mat & Tag 4 die, and I stenciled them using the Diagonal & Straight Stripes stencils along with a different color palette for each panel. On the first panel, I used vintage photo, fossilized amber and peeled paint oxide inks. On the second panel, I used fossilized amber, rusty hinge and lumberjack plaid oxide inks. And on the third panel, I used vintage photo, lumberjack plaid and rusty hinge oxide inks. I mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters on my panels, and I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

I cut three 4,5 x 3,25 inches Stitched Rectangles out of dark brown cardstock, and attached a panel on each dark brown panel using 1mm foam squares, and then each panel on a 5 x 3,75 inches Gingham Jewel Tones panel using liquid glue.

I attached my images on each panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, tied some twine at the bottom of each panel, right below the images, and then worked on the greetings. I stamped three different sentiments from Words Of Gratitude on brown cardstock using black versafine ink, and trimmed them into slim banners. Next I white heat embossed "Thanks" from Big Bold Greetings three times on dark brown cardstock, cut them using the matching die, and then attached all those pieces of my cards using 1mm and 2mm foam squares again.

Snowmen in Sweaters Gift Tags with Alma

Hello everyone, Alma here. November is here, and it's time to dive into Christmas crafting. Gift tags are always super important to me because they add a personal touch, even to small treats like homemade cookies. This time, I chose the Mini Mat & Tag 4 Dies since I really love the delicate lace detail along the bottom edge of the tag. 

Have you browsed through the beautiful patterned papers from Sunny Studio Stamps? I love the bright colors, and there’s something wonderful for every season. For my tags, I picked the Joyful Holiday paper and went for similar plaid patterns in green and red. Then, I die-cut the tag elements in different colors and patterns. I like it when a set looks cohesive but still makes each tag unique.

One important tip: I love writing little messages on the back of each tag, so to make them sturdier, I cut out a second tag and glued it to the back. For the images, I chose the adorable snowmen from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps set, then colored the snowmen and trees and die-cut them using the Snowmen in Sweaters Dies.

Afterward, I glued everything together, and finally stamped the Warmest Wishes greeting from the Holiday Hugs Stamps in olive green on the tags. Of course, a bit of ribbon and decoration at the end is a must!

Brilliant Banner 4 Die Focused Card with Nicky

Hello everyone this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog and I have this new card to share with you which features both new and old Sunny products.

I die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock using the Buffalo Plaid Diagonal Die. I then layered the diagonal stencil, using the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils, from the set of 2 over this panel and ink blended with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. I turned the stencil to the other diagonal and ink blended again. This panel would form the backdrop to my card and was glued to a card base.

I die cut more white cardstock using the Mini Mat & Tag 1 Die. I masked just inside the stitched line and ink blended with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink fading it out to nothing toward the bottom. I backed this panel with a panel of white craft foam and adhered it centred on the card base.

I stamped and coloured the image from Passionate Penguins.  I used the following Copic markers:

Penguins - T7, T6, T5, C3, C1, C0, Y38, YR04
Car - RV55, RV23, R21, RV10, C3, C1, C0, T3, T2, T1, BG11, G00
Tires - T7, T6, T5
Steering Wheel - E44, E43

The image was die cut, using the Passionate Penguins Die, and applied with dimensional foam tape. I die cut and glued together the Brilliant Banner 4 Die. I coloured the little parts that show 'the back' with R21 and T1, I stamped the sentiment and then applied the banner to the card with foam tape.

To pretty things up even further I chose a couple of flower images from some of the Basic Mini Shape Die sets and I die cut pale pink, pale blue and white cardstock several times so that I had a bunch of flowers to choose from in different colour combinations and then I glued them to the corners of the feature panel.
