Sneak Peek: Introducing Beach Bus Stamps with New Release Video

Hello and welcome to the final day of our Summer Sneak Peek Week!  All this week I have been sharing cards showcasing our newest collection which is now in our store and available to purchase!

Card No. 1: Today I have one last stamp and die set to share which I'm super excited about called Beach Bus which features both the front view and side view of a VW-inspired bus with 4 mini critter passengers to mix and match with the animals from our Truckloads of Love Stamps and Balloon Rides Stamps. It also comes with a silhouette of three palm trees and a gorgeous Summer script word that mixes and matches with many words to build custom greetings.

For this card I started by cutting circle masks from masking paper using our Stitched Circle Small Dies and Stitched Circle Large Dies which were inked with mustard seed, carved pumpkin, picked raspberry, and seedless preserves for my background before spritzing with water. I stamped my greeting from the set in the center with a grouping of palm trees on either side using Versafine Onyx Black ink. On a separate piece of white cardstock, I colored it with swooshes and flicks of color using my Copic markers to match the sky's colors and give the appearance of the sunset being reflected in the waves. Lastly, I used our Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies to frame my scene with black cardstock, cutting extra rocky shore pieces to flip and use on the right side of my card, and to tuck behind my water line to ground the palm trees in the distance. The final piece was adding my hot pink beach bus to the center with some yellow highlights to the hood and roof to reflect the glowing sunset. I adore the retro vibe of this background and how well it compliments the vintage feel I was going for with these stamps!

Card No. 2: For this card featuring the Beach Bus Stamps, I created a day scene with palm trees using the trees from our Sending Sunshine Stamps and Tropical Scenes Stamps. I stacked some luggage on the top of the van using companion images from the set, along with a little sloth as my driver. The Tropical Scenes Dies include some coordinating wave dies which were perfect to create a little opening to tuck the surfboard from the set into the sand. To complete my scene I added three clouds from our Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies.

Card No. 3: Up next is a second take on a sunset background. This time I pulled up images on Google for beach sunsets as my inspiration and blended a variety of distress inks before spritzing my paper to help blend the water. In the end, I thought the sky looked a little bit like rainbow tie-dye which was perfect for this vintage-inspired card using our new Beach Bus Stamps. I kept the rest of my design fairly simple, using our Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies to add the silhouette of three palm trees, along with a stitched outer frame all cut from black cardstock. For my curved ground using the stitched hillside, I used a die from our Slimline Nature Border dies and then added the side view of a yellow beach bus to the center filled with critters from the set and our Balloon Rides Stamps. Lastly, I tucked a surfboard on the van's roof and stamped the greeting "happy summer" between the palm trees along the top, center of my card.

Card No. 4: I couldn't resist creating a slimline style penny slider card using our Beach Bus Stamps to drive by in the woodsy scene I created using the mountain border from our Country Scenes Stamps and the fir trees in the foreground from our Seasonal Trees Stamps. I colored my beach van and coordinating luggage in Barbie-inspired Hot Pink colors, adding the bear from our Balloon Rides Stamps and the fox and raccoon from our Truckloads of Love Stamps as passengers. Lastly, I added the greeting "enjoy summer" from the set, which I tucked between the trees and car before it slides forward.

Card No. 5: For my next road trip scene card, I used the mice and luggage from the Beach Bus Stamps to pile onto a retro aqua-colored van which I paired with the hilly tree border in the background from our Country Scenes Stamps. I added a trio of clouds to my sunny sky using our Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies and three little puffs of exhaust to the back of my beach bus using images from our Plane Awesome Stamps. Lastly, I pieced together my "driving by to say hi" greeting using two separate sentiments from our Truckloads of Love Stamps and Spring Showers Stamps.

Card No. 6: For my last Beach Bus card of the day, I created a beach scene using our Ocean View Stamps with the ocean waves washing up on the shore with the palm trees and beach umbrella. The border also includes a beach chair on the right which I hid with my van and leaning surfboard. On the left side of my scene under the palm trees, I added the girl drinking lemonade in a beach chair from our Kiddie Pool Stamps and paired her with the dog and vintage luggage from the Beach Bus stamps and a second
puppy dog perched in the car from the Balloon Rides Stamps. For my background, I layered our Fluffy Cloud Border Dies which I had die-cut from masking material to ink with Tumbled Glass distress ink. I stippled many dots over the stamped line of my shore using a white gel pen to create the look of frothy incoming waves.

As is my tradition, I also created a new release video sharing a closer look at each of the projects I shared this week along with new products and maybe a couple extra tidbits I failed to share here on the blog. You can watch it down below or on our YouTube Channel HERE.

It's getting harder and harder to get the word out about new releases and have videos seen with YouTube's new algorithms these days so if you can do me a favor and hit the like button even if you don't have time to watch the entire thing right now I would greatly appreciate it. ❤

With each new collection, we have a free mini die which we automatically include with orders placed in our online store, while supplies last. For this release we have a fun mini flower die!

That wraps up today's sneak peek. I'm so happy you joined me today! I'd love to give a $50 gift code to one lucky winner using the Rafflecopter below. Our daily sneak peek contests run through Saturday, April 20th at Midnight PST with the winners announced here on Sunday, April 21st.

Fall Friends Card with Gladys

Hello crafty friends, Gladys here! I'm excited to be back on the blog to share a sweet card featuring the Fall Friends stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fall Friends Fall Themed Friendship Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Mini Mat & Tag Dies)

To start, I stamped the cute images from Fall Friends using alcohol friendly ink. Then I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them all out. I went with pink pumpkins for a fun pop of color.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fall Friends Fall Themed Friendship Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Mini Mat & Tag Dies)

Next, I cut the scalloped rectangle from Mini Mat & Tag 3 dies from white cardstock. I masked off along the dotted lines with masking tape and inked the panel with salvaged patina distress oxide ink. To add interest, I added some splatters with diluted salvaged patina using a small paint brush. I backed the panel with double sided foam tape and adhered it on the pattern paper.

I played around with arrangements with the stamped images to create the scene. Once I was happy, I adhered double-sided foam tape to give them dimension. I used the sentiment from the set and stamped it on the top left corner of the panel. For finishing touches I used a white gel pen to add some highlights. I also used the stitched frame from the Tropical Trees Backdrop cut from purple cardstock to complete my card.

Thank you for stopping. Have a wonderful day!

City Streets Card with Bobbi

Hello Sunny friends, Bobbi here! Today I’m sharing a fun card using just one image from the City Streets stamp setI love the look of a retro VW bug or van. I have never owned one, but I just think they are interesting and scream summer-fun vibes! Whenever I see one in a stamp set, I’m immediately drawn to that particular image. No surprise, it happened again. I focused right in on the car included in this city-inspired set and made this card. It’s okay not to use every image in a set every time. Sometimes a card can be fun using just one design.

Sunny Studio Stamps: City Streets card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies, Inside Greetings)

For this card, I’m using the following products:

City Street stamp set (There is also a coordinating die set available for this set that I did not use.)

Tropical Trees background set

Country Carnival stamp set for the front panel sentiment (There is also a coordinating die set available for this set that I did not use.)

Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set for the inside sentiment

Sunny Studio Stamps: City Streets card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies, Inside Greetings)

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped the
automobile repeatedly over a 5″ X  7″ front panel cut from white cardstock. I used my MISTI stamping tool to line up the bottom of the image to ensure a clean grid of cars. I kept some space at the bottom of the card front for a sentiment.  I colored the cars using four Copic colors: B01, B00, V04, YG23. I color-blocked the cars to make each one different. How cute are these cars?! This was a new color combo for me, too.

Using the Tropical Trees background set, I die cut a palm tree and four clouds in varying sizes. I used the two shades of blue to color the clouds and cut the tree from colored cardstock. The elements were added to the front panel. I used foam dots to attach the palm tree so that it stood out from the background. A thin green 1/8″ strip of cardstock was glued right under the tree to ground it. I stamped the sentiment, “enjoy the ride” underneath the strip.

Sunny Studio Stamps: City Streets card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies, Inside Greetings)

Inside the card, I stamped a phrase from the set, Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set. This card could be used for  many life changing adventures such as a retirement, change of job, graduation, wedding, and/or travel adventure. It’s just a fun summer card with a little unexpected twist! I’m gonna say it…. “Way to go, Bobbi!” Haha!

Beach Buddies Card with Bobbi

Hey everyone, Bobbi here. Guess who is having a pool party this summer? BARBIE!  Wherever you look this season, it's all about Barbie, Ken and the new Barbie movie. I went to see the movie last weekend so I have Barbie on my mind. I made this card featuring the Beach Buddies stamps and dies. Are you ready for some hot pink?! Let's go!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Buddies Summer Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Swimming Pool Dies, Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies)

To make this 5" X 7" card, I I started by stamping and die cutting the beach buddies using the coordinating stamps and dies. I colored them using lots of pink! For the accessories, I used the hottest and brightest pinks including Copic colors, RV02, RV04, RV06, RV09, and RV17. I cut the pool using the Swimming Pool dies and three palm trees from the set, Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Buddies Summer Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Swimming Pool Dies, Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies)

To create the scene, I attached the pool in the middle of my front panel, blended on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for the clouds in the sky above the pool and used a fine-tip black marker and ruler to create the concrete squares around the pool terrace in the foreground. I used Copics in W3 and W1 to add some color to the concrete along with a few black dots for divots in the concrete. I kept it simple to let all the accessories show brightly.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Buddies Summer Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Swimming Pool Dies, Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies)

I tucked a few palm trees behind the pool and added a number of hot pink accessories in the foreground. I added the floaties, animals, beach bag, bunny and accessories to the card. I hand cut a beach towel, adding scissor-cut fringe to the edges and stamped hearts on it for a print. I used the sand shovel stamp to make poolside tropical drinks. Barbie loves pink hearts so I stamped a string of hearts between the palm trees and connected them with a black marker. I attached hot pink rhinestone gem stickers to each hanging heart, the heart-shaped sunglasses, the beach bag, the drinks and the "summer sunshine" sentiment for some fun, sparkly, bling. I think this party would be Barbie-approved!

Beach Buddies Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a fun summer card featuring the adorable Beach Buddies Stamps. Summer is my favorite season so making ocean themed/tropical cards is one of my favorite things to do!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Buddies Summer Themed Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Slimline Dies, Catch A Wave Dies, Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies)

This is a mini slimline card (card base is 6 1/4" x 6 1/2", scored on the 6 1/2" side at 3 1/4" and folded in half) and I started by cutting a 3” x 6” panel from white cardstock for the card front. I die-cut a piece of Eclipse masking tape using a Slimline Nature Borders Die and placed the tape across the panel 2 1/4" from the top edge. I then inked a soft sky with Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar Distress inks. I stamped the “happy” sentiment 1/2" below the top edge and 3/4" from the left edge.

Next, I masked the sky and tore a ragged edge on a post-it note. I applied the post-it note 1” below the horizon line and inked the sand with Antique Linen Distress ink. Using Speckled Egg Distress ink, I very lightly inked a few inches below the beach and dotted the shoreline with a white gel pen. I also sprinkled a little water on the Speckled Egg area. I then adhered the panel to the card front.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Beach Buddies Summer Themed Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Slimline Dies, Catch A Wave Dies, Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies)

For the waves, I cut 3 pieces of white cardstock (1” x 3 1/4", 2 1/8”x 3 1/4", 2 1/2" x 3 1/4") and die-cut the top edge of each piece using the Catch a Wave Dies. I inked them with Evergreen Bough Distress ink at the bottom blended into Speckled Egg Distress ink towards the top of each wave and sprinkled water on them. Since I tucked the critters behind the waves, I set them aside until I had my critters ready to adhere.

I stamped all the images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I used the Beach Buddies Stamps/Dies and the Beach Babies Stamps/Dies (umbrella and beach ball). I then adhered the critters and waves to the card front as shown.

To finish, I die-cut a palm tree from the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die from white cardstock, colored it with Copics and adhered it on the beach. I heat embossed the “Summer” sentiment on white cardstock with white embossing powder, inked over it with Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink and fussy cut around it.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by today! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Fabulous Flamingos Cards with Marie Marco

Hello Crafty Friends, Marie here! Summer is here and I'm happy to be back on the blog sharing two cards featuring Sunny Studio's Fabulous Flamingos Stamps. This stamp set is super cute and perfect to give your cards and crafty projects all the tropical summer time vibes!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fabulous Flamingos Tropical Themed Card by Marie Marco (featuring Botanical Backdrop Dies)

My first card features two adorable flamingo friends in a moonlit setting surrounded by lush green tropical foliage created using the Botanical Backdrop Die. To create this card, I started by die cutting an A2 sized card base from 110 lb. heavyweight cardstock paper. Then taking an A2 sized teal colored cardstock paper, I ink- blended the edges with Distress Ink in the colors Uncharted Mariner and Chipped Sapphire. After letting the inked edges dry, I used a sun rays stencil to create the moonlight with white Distress Ink in the color Picket Fence. I also added some white paint splatters to mimic tiny stars. I then attached the teal paper to my card base panel using tape adhesive.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fabulous Flamingos Tropical Themed Card by Marie Marco (featuring Botanical Backdrop Dies)

Next, I stamped my images onto watercolor paper using Distress Ink in the color Antique Linen and colored my images using Faber- Castell WaterColor Pencils. I cut out the images using the Fabulous Flamingos Dies. To create the frame, I die cut two botanical frames out of Bristol Smooth cardstock paper. I ink blended the frames using a combination Sour Apple and Field Day Dye Ink From My Favorite Things. I cut out the vines from one of the frames and added it to my main frame to create a lush and full look. I cut a portion of an A2 sized Vellum paper and die cut the top using a waves die. I ink blended the edges with Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink to mimic water.

I then attached the vellum to the botanical frame using tape adhesive and lined the edges of my frame with skinny foam tape adding dimension to the scene. I attached the frame to the card base and also added the two flamingos to the card placing their feet behind the vellum so it looks like they are in the water. I heat embossed my sentiment onto thick black cardstock and cut it out using a banner die.  Finally, I added some Mix Red Heart Drops for a cute finishing touch!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fabulous Flamingos Tropical Themed Card by Marie Marco (featuring Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies, Loopy Letter Dies)

My next card is a very tropical pop- up birthday box card. I used the Scalloped Box Card Pop-up Die from Lawn Fawn. I also used tropical elements like the palm trees, flying birds, and clouds from Sunny's Tropical Trees Background Die. To start, I stamped all my images with Antique Linen Distress Ink onto watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils to color them all. I then die cut all the flamingos using their corresponding dies. I die cut all the box card components from bristol smooth cardstock. For the outside of the box, I inkblened everything in a beautiful purple shade with Distress Ink in Seedless Preserves.

For the background I used Seedless Preserves and blended it into the lovely bright orange Dried Marigold Distress Ink to create a tropical sunset. I then die cut the clouds and lightly inked the bottom edges with Seedless Preserves . I cut the flying birds from black cardstock paper. I inked the palm trees using Vintage Photo Distress Oxide for the base and Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness for the Tops. For the inside box panels, I used a combination of Antique Linen Distress Oxide ink and Vintage Photo Oxide Ink to create the sand mounds.  Vellum Paper was perfect for creating waves. I inked the vellum using Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink, and a white gel pen to create some texture.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fabulous Flamingos Tropical Themed Card by Marie Marco (featuring Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies, Loopy Letter Dies)

For the outside panels, I used a pretty orange striped pattern paper from Sunny Studio's Dots & Stripes Pastel Paper. I also used the super fun Loopy Letters Dies to create my punny Birday Sentiment. I didn't have room to spell out Bird-Day, so I had to shorten it. For the rest of my sentiment, I used VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and stamped them on some pink cardstock and cut them out using basic banner dies. I assembled my box card using double sided tape adhesive and liquid glue and presto, my super cute Summer Birthday Card is finished!

Thank you so much for joining me today! I really loved creating with this stamp set! These flamingos are just irresistibly cute and so fun to color and best of all they are pink!
