Wedded Bliss Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Wedded Bliss Set! I started off by trimming a piece of red patterned paper, from the Classic Sunburst Paper to 5,5 x 4,25 inches, the sunburst patterned side up and adhered it to my A2 size card base.

Next, I ran two pieces of white cardstock and one piece of black cardstock through my die cutting machine using the largest of the Limitless Labels 1 Die. I ink blended one of the white pieces with turquoise ink, the other with green ink, for sky and grass. The black piece I adhered behind the turquoise piece as a shadow. As I wanted a festive feel for this bride & groom, I splattered gold watercolor on the turquoise panel!

For my hill/grass piece I used the Slimline Nature Borders Die. Next, I stamped the adorable penguins from the Wedded Bliss Stamps, the branches, leaves and flowers from the Love Birds Stamps using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol ink friendly card stock and used the coordinating Wedded Bliss Dies, and the Love Birds Dies, to die cut them out and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

I used the branches as trees for this card, and I glued the leaves and flowers to them! Next, I stamped the sentiment, from the Wedded Bliss Stamps set on my grass piece. I added foam dots to the grass piece so that I could easily tuck the bottom of my trees underneath.

I added foam dots to the upper half of the bride & groom and used liquid glue for the lower part and adhered them to the card. I glued the flowers directly on the grass and the hearts were popped up with foam dots. I adhered my sweet wedding scene to the sunburst patterned card base!

Love Birds Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I have a sweet and punny birthday card to share with you showcasing the Love Birds set. 

I stamped the mages from the Love Birds Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Love Birds Dies to diecut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the background, I used the Slimline Nature Borders Dies to diecut a piece of clear acetate to make my own cloud stencil. I used my homemade cloud stencil and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink to ink blend a subtle background onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. On another piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, I used the largest die from the Stitched Arch Dies to diecut a window.  

For the sentiment, I used the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die to diecut a speech bubble and the Stitched Rectangle Dies to diecut a banner out of pink cardstock. I stamped the “A Little Birdie Told Me” and the “It’s Your Bird Day” sentiments from the Little Birdie Stamps onto the speech bubble and the banner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. 

I adhered the colored images and the sentiments to the panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape. Foam tape was used to adhere the two panels to each other before it was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25” x 5.5”).

The Graduate Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I'm sharing a cute card featuring  The Graduate stamp set.

For this card, I started by die-cutting the background using the Comic Strip Everyday die, and then ink-blended the different sections using shades of blue and green ink.

Next, I stamped the sentiment from The Graduate stamp set with the same green ink, die-cut it, and cut it again from blue cardstock. By layering the blue piece behind the main sentiment, I created a subtle shadow effect.

After that, I stamped the birds and leafy branches from the Love Birds stamp set, along with the graduation caps and diplomas from The Graduate stamp set, and I colored all the images with my Ohuhu markers.

Once everything was colored, I arranged and adhered all the elements onto the card, creating a playful graduation scene. To finish the card, I added highlights with a white gel pen and placed a few transparent dots.

Sweet As Can Bee Card with Tina M

Hello there! Tina M here sharing a card created with the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps!

I have a mini slim line card for you today! The size of the card base is 3,50 x 6 inches. I added a piece of orange polka dot paper from the Polka-Dot Parade Paper pack to cover the card base, using double sided tape.

Next, on a piece of white card stock I ink blended orange and pink ink. I then trimmed a piece of black cardstock for a frame to go behind my ink blended panel and adhered them both to the card base, using double sided tape. Now on to the stamping of the images!

I stamped the bees, the beehive, the little bucket and the heart shaped swirl from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set and the branch, leaves and flowers from the Love Birds Stamps set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and used the coordinating Sweet As Can Bee Dies and Love Birds Dies to die cut them out and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I added the leaves and flowers to the branch using liquid glue.

Next, I added foam dots to the back of the die cut images for dimension and adhered them to the card, except for the heart swirl which I glued directly to the panel using liquid glue.

For the sentiment I stamped the “Just buzzin´ by to say” from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set at the bottom of the panel. I used the Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies to die cut the HI letters out of pink and black cardstock. I layered and adhered the letters to each other and then onto the panel.

To complete my card I used Distress Rock Cand and Distress Matte medium for glue to the wings of the bees and to the center of the flowers for some sparkle!

Sneak Peek: Introducing Bundle of Joy Baby Stamps & Dies

Hello, and welcome to day 3 of our Summer Sneak Peek Week!  All this week I am sharing cards showcasing our newest collection, which will be available for purchase this Friday!

Card No. 1: I'm so excited to finally be sharing our adorable new Bundle of Joy Stamps. This set comes packed with adorable images and can be used in so many fun ways! Up first is a card using all the adorable baby clothes with the included hanger. To tie the colors from the clothes together, I inked a pastel rainbow background with distress inks and topped it with a white scalloped mat from our Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies. I then arranged the outfits in a 2x2 grid and added my sentiment from the set to the Brilliant Banner 1 Die. This was where my original idea was complete; however, I still felt like something was missing, so I came back and added the stitched frame using our Stitched Rectangle Dies, cutting out the center with my Fiskars paper trimmer. I was so much happier with my card after adding this simple frame, which gave it a bit more detail and helped the images feel less like they were floating on a vast white background.

Card No. 2: Up next, I turned to the adorable baby buggy and three of the four babies from the Bundle of Joy Stamps. I framed my scene using the Stitched Rectangle Dies cut from pink cardstock and added three stitched clouds with our Fluffy Cloud Dies. I then matted it on white cardstock and added a piece of aqua gingham to my background from the Gingham Pastels Paper pack. Lastly, I heat-embossed my sentiment from the Bundle of Joy Stamps using VersaMark Ink and Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder.

Card No. 3: Next up is a cute clothesline scene using the onesie bodysuit, bib, and bear hat from the set, "hung" up with clothespins from the Bundle of Joy Stamps, and paired with the wood posts from the A Bird's Life Stamps. I added the stitched Fluffy Cloud Dies behind them, along with the grassy hill from our Slimline Nature Border Dies. I then stamped grass tufts using images from the Chickie Baby Stamps and positioned two adorable birds from the Love Birds Stamps on either side of my sentiment from the Inside Greetings Congrats Stamps.

Card No. 4: My next card from the Bundle of Joy Stamps spotlights the darling stork carrying a baby bundle to drop into the baby buggy. I started my card by inking a layered pink cloud background using our Fluffy Cloud Border Dies with Spun Sugar & Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I then added the Radiating Circle Die to frame my scene, but I wasn't loving how it was covering so much of the clouds I had just spent time inking, so I used the Stitched Circle Large Dies to cut a smaller circle from the center and turn it into a ringed frame. 

I pieced the sentiment together using words from the Bundle of Joy Stamps with the word "congratulations" from the Inside Greetings Congrats Stamps, the word "on" from the Country Carnival Stamps, and the word "your" from the Kiddie Pool Stamps (although with the masking or cutting words apart, both the words can be found in the Country Carnival set). I also added a few hearts that were sitting on my desk from our new Monkey Business Stamps, which will be shared tomorrow. My card was still feeling like it was missing a little something, so my last touch was adding a white scalloped border from the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies and backing it with yellow cardstock to match the baby bundle. I really like how it tied the colors together.

Card No. 5: When I see these two darling babies from the Bundle of Joy Stamps, I envision them on a playdate in the grass and since I didn't have a blanket image to use, I created the feel of a baby quilt around the border of my card, using the square die from the Basic Mini Shape Dies together with patterned paper from Polka-dot Parade Paper and Dots & Stripes Pastel Paper packs. I framed the babies using the scalloped lace mat from the Mini Mat & Tag 2 Dies, layered over the Stitched Rectangle Dies, cut from a coordinating blue striped print. Lastly, I added a butterfly from the Spring Scenes Stamps and heat-embossed a trail from our new Sweet As Can Bee Stamps.

Card No. 6: Every time I see the cute baby snuggled up in their sleeper, with their little bum in the air, my first thought is how much I want to pinch it, but my second thought is how adorable the baby from the new Bundle of Joy Stamps would look cradled by a moon. We don't have a moon die this size, but I was able to fashion my own from the Stitched Circle Large Dies by cutting a smaller circle from the set from the side of my larger circle. I added the clouds from the Baby Elephant Stamps and the stars from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies. I heat-embossed my greeting on a Brilliant Banner 2 Die, which had been inked to match the clouds using VersaFine Clair Bali Blue Ink. Finally, I added finishing touches with my white gel pen, adding a string for one star to hang from and smaller stars in the background.

Card No. 7: For my last card of the day with the Bundle of Joy Stamps, I die-cut stitched circles across my card front using the Staggered Circles Die, and backed the openings with patterned paper from our Gingham Pastels Paper pack. I filled the openings with the four babies from the set, colored to match the patterned paper behind them. I then added three buttons to match scattered around the circles from the Woolen Mitten Dies. I love how these button dies have the depth and cuteness of a real button, but are flat enough to go through the mail without paying for extra postage. I added a strip of rainbow heart-print paper from the Spring Sunburst Paper pack, then stamped the word "welcome" from the Baby Elephant Stamps and spelled out "baby" using the Sydney Alphabet Dies.
