Afternoon Tea Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a cozy card featuring the Aftenoon Tea stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Afternoon Tea & Foxy Friends Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Sprawling Surfaces, Background Basics 2)

This time I created a fun little scene card using the masking technique, although you could absolutely recreate this scene with the coordinating dies as well. Before I started stamping, I placed all the stamps onto the card panel first to get an idea of where I wanted everything to go.

When stamping, I carefully paid attention to the stamping order, because honestly, that still goes wrong for me sometimes. For this card I used the Afternoon Tea and the Foxy Friends stamp sets.

Once the images were finished, I started working on the background. First, I stamped the floor using the Sprawling Surfaces stamp and brown ink. Originally, I made the rest of the background completely grey, but I felt it looked a little too plain. So I decided to stamp the Background Basic 2 stamp over it using the same grey ink. I absolutely love how subtle, yet playful, the background turned out.

After finishing the background, I removed all the masking paper and colored the images with my Ohuhu markers. I also added some extra shading on the floor using a brown marker to create more depth and dimension.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Afternoon Tea stamp set and added a few highlights with a white gel pen. Finally, I mounted the colored card onto blue cardstock and adhered everything to a white card base.

Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.

Afternoon Tea Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and today you are invited to a special party! When I saw this cute Afternoon Tea stamp and die set, I knew I wanted to make a sweet pink themed card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Afternoon Tea Friendship Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Pink Peonies, Stitched Square Dies, Scalloped Square Dies, Inside Greetings Friends, Quilted Hearts Embossing Folder)

Seeing the large images in this set, I opted for a square white card base. My next layer consists of a white panel made with one of the Stitched Square dies. After adhering this piece to the card base, I made another white panel, this time using the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies. As I often do, I dry embossed this paper with the Quilted Hearts Embossing Folder. I love layering white on white panels, since it brings elegance to the card without distracting from the focal point.

For this design, I decided to combine the images from the Afternoon Tea set with a lovely flower arrangement (Pink Peonies). I colored the flowers with my Copics and that was also my initial plan for the teapot and cup.

However, this is where I changed my mind and decided to go for the fun technique of paper piecing. I stamped my images a second time on pattern paper (Gingham Pastels) and used my scissors to cut them out. The handles of both the pot and cup were a bit challenging, therefore I just removed them and colored them with Copics on the white paper version. After I finished cutting, I simply glued the cup and teapot onto the white images to get that clean crisp border.

To ground my scene, I cut a layer from a green paper (Flirty Flowers) with the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies and one of the Slimline Basic Border diesI browsed through my stash and found the perfect sentiment in the Inside Greetings Friends set. After stamping this phrase with a green ink on a white banner, it was time to assemble the card. A few Pink Spinel Jewels were the perfect match for this design.

I can’t wait to see your creations with this cute set! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Afternoon Tea Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am so excited to share a sweet birthday card showcasing the new Afternoon Tea set from the latest Summer Release! This beautiful set comes with a gorgeous “Happy Mother’s Day” stamp and coordinating die but the set can be used for so many different occasions. Today I have paired the Afternoon Tea set with some adorable bunnies from the Bunnyville and Tulip Path Background sets to create a birthday card. So let's get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Afternoon Tea Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Bunnyville, Tulip Path Background, Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies)

I stamped the images from the Afternoon Tea Stamps and some bunny images from the Bunnyville Stamps and Tulip Path Background Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Afternoon Tea DiesBunnyville Dies and the Tulip Path Background Dies to diecut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bunnies: E50/51/53/33, R000/20
Teapot: RV000/10/21/13, B0000
Purple cup: V000/01/12/04
Blue cup: B0000/000/00 BG02
Yellow cup: Y000/11 YR31 Y15
Pink saucer: RV10/21
Spoon: C0/1/3

For the background, I used the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies to diecut a panel out of a white cardstock. I stamped the “Have a” and “birthday” sentiments from the Silly Sloths Stamps set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the “tea-rrific” sentiment from the Afternoon Tea Stamps set with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink directly onto the panel. A piece of craft foam was adhered to the back of the panel before it was adhered to a piece of pink cardstock.

In order to create a more realistic look, I used a sharp craft knife to cut a slit into the teacup images so that I was able to slip the bunnies and stacked cup inside. I adhered the colored images to the panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to an A2 white card base (4.25" x 5.5”). The card was finished with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Be sure to visit the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop to check out the new Summer Release and for more info and ideas. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Afternoon Tea Card with Yan

Hello friends! I’m Yan, and today I’m sharing a soft and elegant Mother’s Day card featuring the beautiful Afternoon Tea Stamp set. There’s something so special about creating a design that celebrates love and appreciation, and I really enjoyed using these delicate images to create a calm and heartfelt scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Afternoon Tea Mother's Day Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Dotted Diamond Dies, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies)

To begin, I stamped the elegant images from the Afternoon Tea Stamp set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using a light brown ink. I then colored the images with Copic markers to bring out their soft and delicate details. Once finished, I used the coordinating Afternoon Tea Dies to cut them out neatly.

COPIC COLOR:
Tea Set : BV000, BV13, V20
Flower : R30, RV00, Y00, Y02, YG03

Next, I blended Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick onto another piece of white cardstock, then used the Dotted Diamond Landscape Die to emboss a beautiful pattern, completing the background with a soft and elegant finish. Next, I die cut a frame from vellum paper using the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies, then heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set onto it for a soft and elegant look. Finally, I assembled all the elements using foam tape to add dimension and bring the whole design together.

I hope this card inspires you to create something special for someone you love this Mother’s Day.

Afternoon Tea Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! I love going to Afternoon Tea and I had so much fun creating this card with the beautiful Afternoon Tea Stamps!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Afternoon Tea Mother's Day Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Icing Rectangle Frame Dies, Baked With Love)

For my card I used an A2 size card base. I started by trimming a piece of pink card stock from my stash to 5,5 x 4,25 inches and adhered it to my card base using double sided tape.

For the background, I used the largest of the Icing Rectangle Frame dies to create a frame using the turquoise paper from the Classic Sunburst Paper pack. Inside I used a piece of white cardstock that I ink blended using pink ink and then splattered with gold watercolor. For the bottom part of the inside, I used pink paper from the Classic Gingham Paper pack.

I then stamped all the images I wanted to feature from the Afternoon Tea Stamps set, the cookies from the Baked With Love Stamps set and the butterfly from the Spring Garland Stamps set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on alcohol ink friendly paper. To decorate the tea pot and the cups I stamped the tiny sprig from the stamp set creating a delicate pattern using turquoise ink.

I then colored the images with my Copic markers. The colors I used are listed below. Next, I die cut the colored images using the coordinating dies from the Afternoon Tea DiesBaked With Love Dies and the Spring Garland Dies.

Tea pot, cup and saucer: C0/1/2 (just to get a little shadow)
Cookies: E31/33/35/37, BG10/11/13
Butterfly: C3, BG10/11/13, RV10

I stamped the big Happy Mother´s Day from the Afternoon Tea Stamps set with turquoise inkdie cut it using the coordinating dieLastly, I added foam dots to the back of all die cut pieces for dimension and adhered them to the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a happy and colorful day!
