Penguin Party Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun Christmas boxcard featuring these adorable Penguin Party, Cozy Christmas and the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp sets. These cuties are sending Holiday Greetings from their penguin home to yours.

I stamped the images from the Penguin Party Stamp and Cozy Christmas Stamp sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Penguin Party Dies and Cozy Christmas Dies to diecut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the boxcard, I trimmed two pieces of light blue cardstock: 1.25" x 11" and 3.75" x 4.25". I also trimmed a few pieces of white cardstock: 1" x 3.5", 3.5" x 4" and two pieces of 1.25" x 4.75". 

For the boxcard base, I used a score board to score the long light blue strip at the 0.5", 2", 5.75" and 7.25". I folded on the score lines, added liquid glue to the 0.5" end tab and secured it to the other end of the strip to create the boxcard base. 

I adhered the larger white and light blue panels to each other and then to the back of the boxcard base. Next, I created the shelves by using the score board again to score the two longer white strips at the 0.5" on each of the long ends. I folded on the score lines and added the shelves to the boxcard with a strong double-sided tape. 

For the sentiments, I die cut two banners out of red cardstock using one of the banner dies from the Stitched Rectangles Dies. The Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set from the latest release was used to create the "Happy Holidays" and "From our home to yours" sentiments. I stamped the sentiments with Versamark Watermark ink onto the red banners and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I decorated the boxcard with the colored images and sentiment banners as shown in the pictures.

Penguin Party Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun slimline Christmas card featuring these adorable Penguin Party and the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp sets on a Scalloped Tag Circle and Slimline Scalloped Frame background.

I used the smaller die from the Scalloped Tag Circle Dies set to die cut three tags out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I stamped the images from the Penguin Party Stamp set onto the tags with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped a few hollies from the Hedgey Holidays Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah cardstock and used the coordinating Hedgey Holidays Dies to die cut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I took a piece of pink cardstock (3" x 8") and used the colored tags to roughly layout my design and align the sentiment. I used the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set from the latest release to create the "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" sentiment. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink directly onto the pink panel. This is such a handy sentiment stamp set. It easily allowed for a variety of sentiments that can be broken up into segments to fit your design. 

For the layout, I used the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies to die cut a panel out of white cardstock. I adhered the pink panel with liquid adhesive. The hollies were adhered with liquid adhesive. I used twine to tie some bows onto the tags and adhered them to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.

Stitched Arch Die Focused Holiday Tags with Amanda

Hello, dear friends, and happy December! Amanda here. I can hardly believe we’ve already made it to the last month of the year — and that Christmas is only 23 days away! Since we’re in full holiday mode, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some gift tags I made featuring the sweetest little critters. These tags are sure to bring a smile to anyone who finds one attached to their gift!

To create the tags themselves, I reached for the Stitched Arch Dies and made my own DIY tag shape. After die-cutting, I simply used a hole punch to add the opening at the top for the twine. 

Next, I grabbed a mix of patterned papers from the All is Bright paper pack. The colors and designs in this collection are so cheerful and festive that it made it really easy to create tags that look joyful and cohesive. I layered different patterns together to give each tag its own unique little personality, while making them coordinate well with one another.

For the critters, I stamped images from the Holiday Express, Happy Owlidays, and Penguin Party stamp sets. These sets are full of adorable cuties and fun holiday elements!  I colored everything with Copic markers to bring them to life and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out!

When it came to the sentiments, the Build-a-Greetings: Holidays stamp set was absolutely perfect. I wanted greetings that would fit nicely on small tags, and this set gave me so many options. I stamped the sentiments onto black cardstock using my WOW! embossing pad, sprinkled on white embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool for that crisp, shiny finish. After that, I trimmed them into cute little strips with my paper trimmer and used scissors to round the corners or create banner ends. Once all the pieces were ready, I adhered the critters and sentiments to the tags using 3D foam squares. I love the dimension they add!

To add a touch of winter magic, I took a small tool with a ball end and dipped it into white acrylic paint to create tiny snowy dots across each tag. I love the effect the snow brings to each tag! After the paint dried, the final step was tying on the twine. I chose twine that coordinated beautifully with the colors from the All is Bright papers!

And that wraps up today’s project! I absolutely loved putting these little tags together — they’re quick, fun, and the perfect way to dress up your holiday gifting with a handmade touch. Roly Poly Penguins Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun Christmas card featuring these adorable Roly Poly Penguins and the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp sets. 

I used the smallest die from the Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies set to diecut three squares and the smallest die from the Scalloped Square 1 Small Dies set to diecut one square out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I masked off the scalloped edges stamped the images from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamp set onto the larger scalloped squares with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I used the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set from the latest release to create the "Merry Christmas" sentiment. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Satin Red ink onto the smaller scalloped square. 

I adhered the scalloped squares onto a piece of light blue cardstock with foam tape. I added some snowflakes diecut from white cardstock using the Woolen Mitten Dies, Basic Mini Shape Dies 2 and the Basic Mini Shape Dies 5. Finally, I adhered the entire panel onto the front of a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Deck the Hall Holiday Ornament Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some Christmas cards featuring our Deck the Halls Stamps.

For my first card today, I started by cutting an A2-sized panel using the snowflake patterned paper from the Joyful Holidays Paper pack. I layered a Scalloped Oval Mat 1 Die cut from red cardstock with a Scalloped Oval Mat 2 Die over the top, cut from white cardstock. I then attached a garland across my card, created with Tim Holtz "Pine Twine" from my stash. I threaded narrow Offray red satin ribbon through each die-cut opening for the snowman, penguin, and polar bear ornaments from the Deck the Halls Stamps, and added some bows over the top with liquid adhesive. Lastly, I heat-embossed a customized greeting using our new Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamps on the Brilliant Banner 2 Dies, which I had inked to look like a black chalkboard color to match my penguin.

For my second card using the Deck the Halls Stamps, I started by stamping the tree branches from the Classy Christmas Stamps with Versamark ink onto black cardstock, before taking turns sprinkling them with Ranger Leaf Green & Fern Green Embossing Powders. I first stamped and embossed them all in one color, leaving space between them so I could go back and stamp another branch to heat emboss in the alternating color. When I was done, I heat-embossed the greeting from the set with white embossing powder. I also added a scalloped edge along the bottom of my panel using a border from the Slimline Pennant Dies. I then loosely laid out where I wanted my ornaments to go and drew straight lines for the strings using a ruler with a white gel pen before adhering the ornaments with liquid adhesive. Lastly, using a print from the All is Bright Paper pack, I added a candy cane striped patterned paper to contrast with the scalloped edge at the bottom of my card.
