Tree Branch Die Focused Card with Nicky

Hi, this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio blog and I have a card to share that features the Tree Branch Dies along with other products.

As I so often do, I started at the back and worked forwards. To that end I die cut pink cardstock using the Bursting Hearts Die and popped out all of the hearts and layered the piece on top of a white A2 panel and then glued to my card base. I took another white A2 panel and die cut using the Comic Strip Everyday Die and I snipped out the divisions to leave a skinny frame.  This was backed with foam tape and applied to the heart background. I die cut a circle from the same pink cardstock and stamped the sentiment from Lovey Dovey, this was also applied with foam tape.

I die cut two tree branches from white cardstock using the Tree Branch Dies and coloured with Copic markers. I also stamped the birds and blooms from Love Birds using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa, and die cut using the coordinating dies. Here are the Copic colours used:

Branches - E44, E42, E31, E41
Leaves - B04, B12, G40, G20
Birds - B04, B12, B41, BG70, Y17, YR31
Blushes and Blooms - R85, R83, R81

A white gel pen was used to highlight a few points then the  branches and birds were applied with foam tape and leaves and blooms glued in their positions and with that ... the card was complete!

Love Birds Card with Leanne

Hello and happy Monday! Leanne here to share some fresh card making inspiration showcasing the Love Birds stamp set.  

I started with a light aqua blue card base. I trimmed a panel of white card stock down just slightly smaller than my A2 card base. I ran that panel through my die cut machine with the Dotted Diamond Portrait die to give it that decorative texture.  I then used a Fancy Frames Circle die to cut out a scalloped circle shaped window.  I also die cut some peach card stock with that same circle frame die four times.  The peach scalloped circles have been stacked and adhered together to create one thick frame to highlight the scene.  

I used a blend of Tattered Rose and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide inks to create a soft peachy background to put behind the window.  I Copic colored the birds and branch images. I used the coordinating Love Birds dies to cut them out and then added them onto the card.  I tucked one bird behind the top of circle window so he's peeking out and looking down at the one perched on the branch.  

Copic's used for coloring the stamped images:

peach - YR01, YR61, YR02
aqua blue - BB70, BG10, BG11, BG13
brown - E41, E42
green - G43, G94
yellow flower center - Y11, Y15
rosy cheeks - R00, R20

I stamped the word "tweetheart" directly onto the background. It fit perfectly in the space between the birds.  To finish the greeting I added a sentiment from the Lovey Dovey stamp set.

Purrfect Birthday Card with Isha

Hello everyone, I am Isha with a clean and simple card featuring the adorable cat image from the Purrfect Birthday stamp set. Even if this is a birthday stamp, I decided to create a fun and happy non-birthday card for a friend just to let her know that she makes me happy :)

I started by sponging a white card for the sky using kitsch flamingo, wilted violet and scattered straw distress oxide inks. Flick some water for some texture. Die-cut the front panel using the cloud die from the Slimline Nature Border dies. Adhere both the pieces to a white card base. Stamp the sentiment from the Lovey Dovey stamp using grey inks by Altenew to give an ombrè effect. 

Sponge the grass area by masking it using a post-it. Stamp the images, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere to the card using 3d foam and liquid glue.

Notebook Die Focused Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I’m sharing a CAS card with a touch of elegance featuring the Notebook Tabs Dies. When I first saw this notebook paper die I immediately thought of a large handwritten message and Sunny Studio has the perfect sentiment stamps to give it that look! Paired with a pencil from the A Cut Above Stamps, I just love how this came together.

I started this A2 card by die-cutting a piece of gray cardstock using the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies. I adhered this to a white card front. Next, I die-cut a piece of kraft cardstock using a Stitched Rectangles Die and embossed it using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I adhered this centered on the gray frame.

I die-cut a light pink parchment cardstock 3 times using the Notebook Tabs Die and stamped lines on one of them in a dark pink ink using the A Cut Above Stamps. I then stamped the sentiment from the Lovey Dovey Stamps in gray ink. I already loved these scripty stamps, but they work so perfect on the notebook paper die for that handwritten look! I adhered the 3 notebook papers layered over each other.

To finish, I stamped roses and leaves from the Everything’s Rosy Stamps and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. The pencil from the A Cut Above Stamps was a perfect finishing touch. I also die-cut this using the coordinating dies.
