Penguin Pair Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Penguin Pair set.

For today's card I cut a top fold white base card. Cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch red rectangle and used an embossing folder to create the background. Adhered the red panel to the base card and cut a white rectangle that went on top of that.

Using the Gift Card Envelope Dies to cut a pink envelope. Cut a white panel to fit inside the envelope and stamped the sentiment out of the My Hearts stamp on to it using a red ink. Chopped the corners of the "letter" and place it inside the envelope onto the card.

Stamped all the images using Penguin Pair and Passionate Penguins. Die cut the images using the matching Penguin Pair dies and Passionate Penguins dies. Adapted the images so they would fit in the envelope. And added some red glitter on to all the hearts to finish it off.

Vintage Valentine Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am so excited to share a fun Valentine’s Day card featuring the Vintage Valentine set from the new Spring 2026 Release! This is such a cute retro set! I’ve paired this vintage set with the penguins from the new Penguin Pair and the previously released Roly Poly Penguins sets and created a background with the new Radiating Circle Dies. So let’s get started.

I stamped the typewriter, paper and envelope images from the Vintage Valentine Stamp set, penguins and bow from the Penguin Pair Stamp and Roly Poly Penguins Stamp sets and the envelope with the heart from the Big Bunny Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the “happy Valentine’s day!” and “You make my heart smile!” sentiments and heart from the Vintage Valentine Stamp set onto the paper images with Versafine Satin Red and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Vintage Valentine Dies, Penguin Pair Dies, Roly Poly Penguins Dies and Big Bunny Dies to die cut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the background, I took a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and die cut two windows into it using circle the third and largest dies from the new Radiating Circle Dies. I used the same two circle dies to die cut two circles out of pink cardstock. I used the white windowed panel to align and adhere the pink circles onto another piece of white cardstock with liquid glue. I trimmed off the portions of the pink circles that hung out beyond the edge of the panel. I adhered the two white panels to each other with foam tape. 

I tucked the white envelope under the penguin’s flipper and the paper with the “happy Valentine’s day!” sentiment into the red envelope. The colored images were adhered to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a shite A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”). And the card was finished with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.

Penguin Pair Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here and today I am excited to share this wintery card featuring the Penguin Pair stamp set.

I started by stamping and die-cutting the Scenic Route background stamp. Next, I softly blended blue ink onto the cardstock to create a dreamy winter sky effect. Once that was done, I stamped the trees from the Too Cute to Spook stamp set over the background to add a winter forest feel.

Then it was time for the real stars of the card: the adorable Penguin Pair stamps! I colored the penguins and the Scenic Route background with my Ohuhu markers. To finish everything I added highlights to the images using a white gel pen and  I glued everything onto the card.

Penguin Pair Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here sharing a card using the new Penguin Pair stamps!

I started by stamping three penguins, outfits and accessories on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I then die cut the images out using the coordinating Penguin Pair dies. I glued the suit, the dress and the accessories to my penguins!

Copic colors used:
Penguins: N3/5/6/8, C0/1, R00/30/32, YR21/24/27
Accessories and outfits: RV52/55/V000, R22/24/27
Hearts: R22/24/27

For my card I used an A2 size card base, I then trimmed a piece of white and a piece of pink cardstock 5,5 x 4,25 inches and ran the white piece through my die cutting machine with the Bursting Hearts Die. Next, I adhered the pink panel to the card base using double sided tape, and on top of that pink panel I glued the white panel with the cut-out hearts.

I trimmed another piece of white card stock 5,5 x just shy of 1,75 inches for the lower part of the card front for the penguins to sit/stand on and to stamp the sentiment. Next, I trimmed a piece of black card stock 5,5 x 1.75 inches. I adhered the two pieces together with double sided tape, having a thin black strip showing to separate the bottom piece from the die cut piece, and lastly, I adhered that piece to the card base.

I then stamped the sentiment from the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps. I added foam dots to back of the penguins for dimension and adhered them to the card!

Penguin Pair Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I have a sweet Valentine’s card for you! Stars of the show are the cuties from the Penguin Pair stamp and die set! Not only are they super adorable, they bring their own little sweaters and accessories. I love when sets give you these extra options for so many different looks.

I started with a white square card base and added a textured layer created with one of the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies and the Dapper Diamonds embossing folder. A quick and easy way to elevate any panel. 

Since this card is love themed, it also needed a heart shape (Scalloped Heart dies). I just cut  the largest die but then decided that it would be fun to add extra dimension with the smaller heart from that set. For these pieces I selected pale blue heart and flower papers from the Flirty Flowers pad. 

Now it was time to stamp and colour the cute penguins (Penguin Pair stamp) with my Copic markers in blue, pink and yellow tones. As always I added some white highlights. I gave the girl a headband and an adorable sweater for the boy. 

After browsing through my stash I found the perfect sentiment (Foxy Friends) and stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a small white banner. I mounted the hearts, penguins and banner with some thin foam tape. For that extra bling, I sprinkled a few Pink Spinel Jewels.

Sneak Peek: Introducing Penguin Pair Stamps With A Full Release Video

Hello, and welcome to the final day of our Spring Sneak Peek Week!  All this week, I have been sharing cards showcasing our newest collection, which is now available for purchase!

I have put together a video sharing a closer look at all the new products, including the new Penguin Pair Stamps I am sharing here today. You can also view it directly on our YouTube channel HERE.

Card No.1: Before you run off to shop, I have one final stamp set to share. It's small, but mighty. It's a 3x4 set called Penguin Pair to complement our popular Roly Poly Penguins Stamps. You get two additional penguins in brand new poses and a couple of outfits and accessories to add to them, which are really fun for Valentine's Day! 

For my first card, I used a strip from our Tulip Path Background Stamps, cutting it from a previous scene to create a vertically oriented card (which I shared HERE). Still, after all that coloring, I hated to throw it out, so I hung onto it, "just in case," and I'm so glad I did because I love how this new card turned out, turning it into an intentional technique. I used pale taupe ink to stamp the scene again onto white cardstock, then lined the colored portion on the left and added a small zig-zag edge in hot pink using the Ric Rac Border Dies. All I had left was to add my penguin couple to the pathway and stamp a large, bold sentiment to match from My Heart Stamps and Dies, with some scattered pink hearts from that set. It felt like all the work had already been done when I colored my original background a year ago, so this card came together really quickly.

Card No.2: Next up is a fun card using one of the penguins, a hot cocoa mug, and a hat from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps with the sitting penguin and the new hat from the Penguin Pair Stamps. The original hat was fashioned to look like Santa's hats, but by coloring them blue and adding white polka-dots with a gel pen, they have been transformed into stocking caps for bedtime. For the card background, I cut a baby blue panel using the Quilted Hearts Landscape Dies and layered it over navy blue cardstock. I then framed my penguin couple by layering the Stitched Heart Dies and Scalloped Heart Dies. Lastly, I added a perch for my penguin pair by layering the Brilliant Banner 2 Dies and stamping a punny greeting from the Penguin Pals Stamps.

Card No. 3: For this card, I started by inking a pink cloud background using the Fluffy Clouds Border Dies, masking material, and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I then trimmed down the panel and added stitching to each side using the rectangular die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I also added 1" wide strips of heart print patterned paper to flank the outside edges of my center panel using the Flirty Flowers Paper pack. 

To set my little scene, I positioned my main penguin from the Penguin Pair Stamps floating with a bouquet of balloons using the Balloon Alphabet Stamps, spelling out the word "HUGS," stamped in alternating rosy reds and pinks to coordinate with the heart headband. I taped small pieces of red thread to the back of each balloon so that I could knot them and put them in my penguin's flipper. I also left room to stamp the word "sending" above "hugs" using the Heartfelt Wishes Stamps and VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Along the bottom of my card, I included the other penguin from the Penguin Pair Stamps and one of the original penguins from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps, both holding hearts. 

Card No.4: For this card featuring the Penguin Pair Stamps, I added the fashions to my boy and girl penguins and created a scene behind them using the fence border from the Country Scenes Stamps and the Fluffy Clouds Dies. I stamped the tufts of grass using the three grass images from the Woolly Friends Stamps. For my greeting, I stamped "You're My Favorite" using PinkFresh Studio Candy Apple Ink from the Lovey Dovey Stamps. I then added a subtitle below it using a sentiment from the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps with VersaFine Onyx Black Ink.

Card No. 5: For my last card set of the day, using the Penguin Pair Stamps, I created clean & simple Valentines that are easy to mass-produce and hand out in a child's classroom or other settings where you need something easy to make in bulk. The finished size for these cards is 1/4" smaller than A2-sized cards at 4" wide x 5.25" high. For my base panel, I used pink prints from the Dots & Stripes Pastel Paper and Flirty Flowers Paper packs. I then added the smallest frame from the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies, cut from red cardstock, and cut it again from white cardstock for the interior. I then stamped the two cards with bold Valentine sentiments from our My Heart Stamps and Lovey Dovey Stamps in red ink to match the frame trim. Lastly, I added the penguins wearing heart deely bopper headbands and heart glasses with scattered pink and red hearts around them from the Penguin Pair set.
