Icing Rectangle Frame Die Focused Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies.

Cut a top fold white base card and inked up the bottom using Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks. Added a piece of pattern paper to the back. Die cut a Kraft rectangle and inked it up using Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. Chopped off the corners using a corner punch and added a darker piece of cardstock behind it.

Die cut the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies out of white cardstock and adhered it to the "cookie". Heat set the sentiment on some lila cardstock and trimmed it to a banner. Die cut the word "Cookie" out of pink cardstock using the Sydney Alphabet Dies.

Used Copic Colors:
Black - N8, N6, N4, N3, N2
Penguin White - E53, E51, E50
Orange - YR27, YR23, YR21
Purple - BV04, BV02, BV00

Stamped the images Passionate Penguins, Baked with Love and the Kiddie Pool Stamps. Colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them by hand and with the matching Baked with Love and Kiddie Pool Dies.

Sydney Alphabet Die Focused Card with Yan

Hi friends! It’s Yan here, and I’m excited to share a sweet spring card featuring the lovely Sydney Alphabet Dies. Alphabet dies are such a versatile tool for cardmaking because they allow you to create custom sentiments that perfectly fit your design. For today’s project, I paired these dies with soft florals and gentle spring colors to create a cheerful card for someone special.

To begin, I stamped the beautiful floral images from the Spring Garland Stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using a light gray ink. I then colored the flowers with Copic markers to create a soft no-line coloring effect, which gives the florals a delicate and natural look.

COPIC COLOR:
Florals: G14, G40, Y11, Y15, Y19, YG03,YG17, YG63, YR000, YR61, YR65
Background : B000, B12

After finishing the coloring, I used the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies to cut the panel and create a clean frame for the design. Next, I prepared the focal sentiment for the card. Using the Sydney Alphabet Dies, I die cut the phrase “JUST FOR YOU!” three times and stacked the letters together with glue to add a bit of dimension and help the sentiment stand out against the floral background. 

For the supporting sentiment, I chose a sweet phrase from the Woolly Friends Stamps and heat embossed it in white on black cardstock for a nice contrast. Finally, I assembled all the elements together using foam tape and glue to add layers and dimension to the finished card.

Icing Rectangles Frame Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I have a card to share with you featuring these adorable Quill Cuties, the awesome Sydney Alphabet Dies and the fun Icing Rectangle Frame Dies. Aren’t these hedgehogs just the cutest? So let’s get started.

I stamped the images from the Quill Cuties Stamp and the bouquet of balloons from the Party Pets Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Quill Cuties Dies and Party Pets Dies to diecut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Pink: RV000/10/21/13/14
Teal: BG10/11/53/45
White: C1

For the background, I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock (4.25” x 5.5”) and lightly ink blended some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide. I used the smaller frame die from the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies to diecut a frame 3 times out of white cardstock. (TIP: I found it helpful to save the negative from this diecut to help align and adhere the frame to the panel.) 

For the sentiment, I used the Sydney Alphabet Dies to diecut the HUGS 3 times out of white cardstock. I colored one set of the letters with Copic markers. I layered and adhered the 3 sets of the letters with liquid adhesive. I used the icing frame, colored images and the HUGS letters to roughly plan out the card front and align the  “Sending You" sentiment from the Quill Cuties Stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly onto the inked panel. 

I adhered the icing frame and HUGS to the panel with liquid glue. The colored images were adhered to the panel with foam tape for additional dimension and interest. The card front was adhered to an A2 white card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Icing Rectangle Frame Die Focused Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a cute bunny card featuring the new Icing Rectangle Frame dies.

I started by stamping the Majestic Meadow as the background and first die-cutting it with the Icing Rectangle Frame, followed by die-cutting the background itself using the matching Majestic Meadow dies. Because I wanted to create a little pond, I trimmed off the bottom grass part of the meadow stamp.

Next, I die-cut the Icing Rectangle Frame once more from white cardstock. I kept the frame white and blended blue ink on the inside: lighter blue at the top for the sky and a turquoise shade at the bottom to form the pond.

On the grassy area, the adorable bunnies from the Bunnyville stamp set are relaxing, while Froggy Friend is happily sitting right in the middle of the pond. To finish the scene, I added some cattails using stamps from the Country Scenes stamp set and the clouds also from the Majestic Meadow stamp set.

After coloring everything with my Ohuhu markers, I adhered all the elements onto the blue ink-blended background. Trimming the bottom of the meadow stamp really helped create the pond effect with the turquoise blue lower section.

For a playful finishing touch, I used pink Flirty Flower Paper to create a fun border around the scene, and finally mounted everything onto a white cardstock card base.

Icing Rectangle Die Focused Card with Tina M

Hello there! Tina M here sharing a card featuring the new Icing Rectangle Frame Dies!

For my card I used an A2 size card base. I started off by trimming a piece of white cardstock to 5,5 x 4,25 inches and adhered it to the card base using double sided tape.

Next, I masked the edges of the white panel with painters’ tape and inked the center using a blending brush and the ink Sage from Pink Fresh Studio. After I removed the painters’ tape, I splattered black acrylic ink on the whole panel.

Whilst letting the panel dry, I stamped one of the penguins from the Penguin Pair Stamps and some of the flowers from the Spring Garland Stamps on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

Copic colors used:
Penguin: N3/5/6/8, C0/1, R00/30/32, YR21/24/27
Flowers: BG10/11/13/49
Leaves: G94/99

I then die cut out the second largest of the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies from black card stock as I love black accents on my cards and glued it to the card base! I also die cut the stamped and colored images out using the coordinating Penguin Pair Dies and the Spring Garland Dies.

I added foam dots to back of the penguin and the flowers for dimension and adhered them to the card! I placed the flowers at the bottom, right hand side of the panel and tucked the penguin behind the leaves!

To finish off my card I die cut two Hello, using the Hello Word Die, one from black card stock and one from the Classic Sunburst Paper pad, the turquoise grid pattern up. I glued them together using liquid glue, placing the black as a shadow and adhered them to the card.

Inside Greetings Friends Card with Yan

Hello Everyone! This is Yan on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I’m so excited to share a friendship-themed card featuring the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps and Penguin Pair Stamps from Sunny Studio’s Spring New Release. These adorable penguins and sweet sentiments are such a perfect match — I had a wonderful time creating this cheerful little scene celebrating friendship and kindness! 

First, I stamped the penguins from the Penguin Pair Stamps onto Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then, I colored them with Copic markers bringing them to life with soft, playful shading. Once they were finished, I used the Penguin Pair Dies to cut them out perfectly, and arranged them together in a cheerful little grouping.

For the background, I blended soft, gentle colors on white cardstock using Distress Oxides in Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salvaged Patina. Then, I heat embossed heartfelt sentiments from the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps onto vellum paper, and die-cut frames from white cardstock using the Icing Rectangle Frame Dies to create a lovely layered effect. 

Finally, I layered all the elements together using foam tape and glue, arranging them to form a playful, dimensional scene full of warmth and friendship — just like in the photo!
