A Cut Above ATC Cards with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing these cute ATC’s.

I started by die-cutting four ATC bases from brown cardstock and adding alternating red and blue frames. To create some extra texture, I used the Diagonal Stripes Stencil with brown ink on the bottom brown layer.

On the top brown panel, I stamped a subtle plaid pattern along the top edge using the plaid stamp from the A Cut Above stamp set with brown ink. To give the background a playful look, I finished it off with some white gouache splatters.

Next, I stamped the office supplies from the A Cut Above stamp set. I created two red and two blue versions of both the pushpin and the pencil. These are layered stamps, making it easy to add beautiful depth and dimension to the images.

Of course, someone had to hold those giant pencils. For that, I stamped two cute foxes from the Foxy Friend stamp set and two playful kittens from the Cat Antics and Party Pets stamp sets.

For the little notes, I stamped the paper image four times from the Vintage Valentine stamp set. I then added the sentiments using stamps also from the Vintage Valentine and Foxy Friend stamp sets.

After coloring all of the stamped images with my Ohuhu Markers, I adhered everything to the ATCs, layering the elements for a fun and playful composition. As a finishing touch, I added a few clear drops to give the cards a little extra shine and dimension.

Cards done, ready to send joy!

Cat Antics Card with Yan

Hey crafty friends! It's Yan here, and today I'm sharing a pawsitively playful project featuring the charming Cat Antics Stamps! This card was so much fun to assemble, and I loved playing with soft pastels and dimensional layering. Grab your crafting supplies, and let's jump right in!

To kick things off, I stamped the adorable kitties, cardboard and yarn balls onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored all the elements with my Copic markers. After finishing the coloring, I lined up the matching Cat Antics Dies to die-cut everything flawlessly.

COPIC COLORS USED:

For the background, I created my own patterned paper by simply stamping the yarn image with soft pastel color inks onto another panel of white cardstock. To help my cat scene pop without covering up the soft yarn design, I die-cut a scalloped frame from translucent vellum using the Loopy Rectangle Frame Dies and set it right in the center.

For the sentiment, I heat-embossed 'YOU'RE pawsitively AMAZING' in white onto a strip of rich olive green cardstock. To add a warm pop of contrast, I die-cut an orange strip using the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies and layered it directly under the sentiment. Finally, I popped the cardboard box, cute kitties, and yarn balls onto the vellum panel using foam tape to build a lively 3D scene.

Cat Antics Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a fun, whimsical card featuring the Cat Antics Stamps! I had so much fun creating this scene! It took a lot of stamping, masking and fussy cutting!

I started off by trimming a piece of purple patterned paper, from the Polka-dot Parade Paper pack to 4,25 x 5,5 inches and adhered it to my A2 size card base. I then trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 3,75 x 5 inches and stamped the wooden floor from the Sprawling Surfaces Stamps set using Memento Tuxedo black ink at the bottom of the panel and colored it with my Copic Markers, see list below. 

For “wallpaper” I ink blended purple and turquoise inks and sprayed water droplets to it for a whimsical look! I covered the floor part with post-it notes while doing that. I then trimmed a slightly larger black panel to go behind my ink blended /floor panel and adhered them to the card base, using double sided tape.

Next, on to the stamping and masking of the kittens and the furniture! The kittens, box, bowl and mouse are from the Cat Antics Stamps set and the furniture is from the Cozy Christmas Stamps set. As always, I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol ink friendly card stock. For the masking I used Spellbinders Masking Sheets. I then colored the images with Copic markers, see list below:

As I masked several images into one, I then fussy cut them out leaving a narrow white border as if I had used coordinating dies. There are coordinating dies available to both the Cat Antics and the Cozy Christmas sets if you prefer to stamp each image separately and then arrange the scene!

Next, I stamped the sentiment, the words “sending you” are from the Quill Cuties Stamps set and the words “pawsitive vibes” are from the Cat Antics Stamps set. I added foam dots to the fussy cut pieces and arranged my scene and adhered them to the card! I used a white gel pen for the polka dots on the purple box!

The Graduate Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am so excited to share a fun graduation card featuring the new The Graduate set from the new Summer Release! Have you seen all of the amazing products from the new release?! This graduation set couldn’t have come at a better time. Graduation season is just around the corner and I have several graduates to celebrate this year. The Graduate set is a smaller but very versatile set that can be used for both younger and older graduates. So let's get started.

I stamped the images from the The Graduate Stamps and a few cat images from the Cat Antics Stamps and Party Pets Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating The Graduates Dies, Cat Antics Dies and Party Pets Dies to diecut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

Full confession: I had to perform a little surgery on that cat in the center of the card from the Party Pets Stamps set. The original image is a full-body view of the cat with his hand positioned so that he could hold balloons. I thought the hand gesture would be perfect for the appearance of him tossing up his graduation cap. So I used scissors to trim the legs off of the colored image so that he would look more like the other cats who only had their upper bodies showing. But rest assure that no real cats or clear stamps were harmed in the process of making this card. 

For the layout, I used the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies to diecut a panel out of white cardstock. I matted this with a slightly larger piece of yellow cardstock. I adhered a piece of craft foam to the back of the panel before adhering it to a piece of patterned paper from the Surprise Party Paper.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Congrats Grad” sentiment from the The Graduate set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used the coordinating die to diecut it out. I love the beautiful font and how bold the sentiment is. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and adhered the sentiment to the panel with foam tape.

I adhered the colored images to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25” x 5.5”). I finisshed the card by adhering some stars diecut out of yellow cardstock with the stars die from the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2.

Designer's Choice: Wonderful Window Die Focused Card with Yan

Hello friends! Yan here—I’m excited to share a soft and heartfelt Mother’s Day card featuring the lovely Wonderful Windows Dies. I love how this die set creates a charming window scene, perfect for adding a warm and meaningful touch to a card for someone special.

To begin, I stamped the sweet mama cat and kitten image from the Cat Antics Stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored the image with Copic markers, bringing out the warm and loving details. Once finished, I used the Cat Antics Dies to cut it out neatly.

Next, I used the Wonderful Windows Dies to die cut the window frame from another piece of white cardstock three times, then stacked the layers together with glue to create a bit of dimension. I also added a soft touch of color using Copic markers (R32 and R30) to give the window frame a gentle, warm look.

For the background, I chose a piece from the Polka-dot Parade 6x6 Paper to add a soft and playful touch. I then stamped a sweet sentiment from the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps directly onto the background to complete the heartfelt message. Next, I used the Sydney Alphabet Dies to die cut the letters “MOM” from another piece of white cardstock three times, then stacked them together with glue to create a bit of dimension. Finally, I assembled all the elements using glue and double-sided tape to bring the whole design together.
