Meow & Furever Cat Love-Themed Cards with Mendi

Hello there! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. This is Mendi popping in to share some love-themed cards for Valentine's Day featuring our adorable Meow & Furever Stamps.

For my first card showcasing the Meow & Furever Stamps, I made the adorable cat peeking through the heart-shaped cutout in his newspaper the focal point. I used a sketch for this card, keeping my card design relatively clean and simple. I relied on the fun, bright striped paper from the Spring Sunburst Paper pack and layered die-cuts to add interest. I landed on this particular color palette and patterned paper because I had colored this tabby cat image years ago, and I was looking for a way to incorporate orange into a Valentine's Day card, which felt like a bit of a challenge.

For my background, I started by die-cutting the diagonal grid print from the Gingham Pastels Paper pack using the Fishtail Banner 2 Dies. I then stacked the Stitched Heart 2 Die, cut from Bazzill's swiss dot cardstock, with a white Scalloped Heart Die inked with a bit of Salty Ocean Distress ink in the center. Lastly, I heat-embossed the punny "Meow You Doin'?" phrase from the Meow & Furever set onto a blue Brilliant Banner 1 Die.

For my second card using the Meow & Furever Stamps, I created another cat love-themed card perfect for Valentine's Day! I had colored all of my cat images and red hearts many years ago, and I was determined to use every last piece for today's cards, so it was fun challenging myself to find the perfect way to use what I had. For this card, I started with a dark kraft cardstock base and layered a blue heart print from the Flirty Flowers Paper pack over the top, which had been die-cut using the largest banner from the Slimline Pennant Dies. I added four of the smallest dies from the Scalloped Square 1 Small Dies into a 2x2 grid and centered my kitties over the top of each of the squares. I completed my card by heat-embossing the greeting from the set onto a red Brilliant Banner 2 Die and sprinkling the five small red hearts like flat mail-friendly embellishments.

Passionate Penguins Spring Cards with Mendi

Hello there! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. This is Mendi popping in to share some spring-themed cards featuring our beloved Passionate Penguins Stamps.

My first card showcasing the Passionate Penguins Stamps uses the cute image of the penguins in the car, which I paired with the mountains, trees, and flowers from the Spring Scenes Stamps for their scenic drive. I cut three hills for them using the Slimline Nature Border Dies and then fussy cut the street using just black cardstock with my scissors. I had planned to add the white dotted line; however, when I realized my car would be taking over the entire road, I decided to make it a one-lane street. I borrowed the sentiment from the Cruising Critters Stamps, which I heat-embossed in white to pop against the black pavement. Lastly, I added three small die-cut clouds from the Comic Strip Everyday Dies to the sky.

For my second card using the Passionate Penguins Stamps, I colored the three sets of penguin couples in monochromatic pinks. I mounted them onto three overlapping Stitched Heart 2 Dies inked with Salvaged Patina Distress ink. For my background, I blended Picked Raspberry and a hint of Seedless Preserves Distress inks (to more closely match my copic coloring using RV55, RV63, and RV52). I then die-cut the background using a shortened version of the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies and stamped it with a heart print using stamps from the Passionate Penguins set. For my greeting, I combined words from the Passionate Penguins Stamps and the Savanna Safari Stamps, which I heat-embossed onto a Brilliant Banner 3 Die inked with Salvaged Patina ink. As a finishing touch, I added polka dots to the umbrella using a white gel pen. My finished card measures 7-1/2" wide x 3-3/4" high.

Bear Hugs Card with Tina

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and I hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday season! Today, I created a sweet winter forest scene with two cuties from the Bear Hugs stamp and die set.

To start, I cut a panel of pink dotted paper (Polka-dot-Parade) with the beautiful Quilted Hearts Portrait die. Next, I used one of the Stitched Circles Small set to create the space for my focal point. I needed two more of these circles from white card stock. One was turned into a snowbank, the other will be my background. I used Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and a cloud stencil from my stash to ink blend a winter sky.

Then I put this panel aside to select two cute bears and some trees from the Bear Hugs stamp set. To go for that winter vibe, I went with cool blues, grey and pink Copic markers. As usual, I added white highlights with a gel pen.

With all the elements ready, I could start to assemble the card. I made a white card base and added the pink Quilted Hearts Portrait panel with liquid glue. Next, I inlayed the circle with the clouds and mounted the snowbank. Lastly, I adhered the two cute bears and the trees onto the background circle.

My sentiment was taken from the Words Of Gratitude set and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a white banner (Brilliant Banner 4). As embellishment, I sprinkled a few Sky Blue Jewels in the sky.

Snowmen in Sweaters & Snow One Like You Winter Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi popping in to share some winter-themed holiday cards featuring our Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps and Snow One Like You Stamps. If you are scrambling to finish your holiday cards in time for Christmas, I think sending snowman cards works wonderfully for the entire winter season! Plus, who can resist an adorable snowman? They make me smile every single time.

My first card showcases four of the cute snowmen from the Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps. For both of my cards today, I stuck with a limited color palette of blue, pink, and green. I have been doing that a lot this season to have two cards to share that coordinate and look pretty together for my main photo, but I've enjoyed creating this way. It streamlines my creative process so I have one less decision to make, and I've been more satisfied with my completed cards that work with a specific color palette. 

Another thing I've really been trying to do is use up leftover stamps and die-cut pieces that didn't make it onto earlier cards, so I used the trees from the Christmas Home Stamps that I popped into my background to add some more complementary green color to pop against my pink sky (inked with Spun Sugar & Picked Rapsberry Distress Inks using the PinkFresh Studio Blending Brushes). I repeatedly stamped and heat-embossed the Frosty Flurries Stamps for my snowfall backdrop in a 2x2 grid pattern. I stamped the "warm winter wishes" greeting from the Snowmen in Sweaters set using PinkFresh Studio Seaside ink and added a snowy hill with the Slimline Nature Border Dies.

For my second card, I used the darling focal point image and sentiment from the Snow One Like You Stamps. I paired the girl and her snowman with the trees from the Winter Scenes Stamps and Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps. I then framed the little vignette with a Scalloped Oval 2 Mat cut from white cardstock and inked in the center with a light dusting of Salty Ocean Distress ink. I then die-cut the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 Dies and inked that up with the same Salty Ocean ink along the edges to tuck below and have peeking out of the eyelet lace holes of my first scalloped frame. I inked up a piece of pale pink cardstock with a light amount of Picked Raspberry Distress ink and then heat-embossed the swiss dot print using the Background Basics 2 Stamps. Lastly, I heat embossed the greeting from the set onto a Brilliant Banner 2 Die inked to match the same Salty Ocean pale blue color. The greeting included the word "else" but it made the sentiment too long to fit comfortably on my banner, so I pulled out my scissors to carefully cut the two words apart. It's extremely easy to line them back together the next time I use them, but it gave me the flexibility I needed for this card.
