Snow One Like You Card with Tina

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and today we are creating a sweet holiday card with the adorable Snow One Like You stamp and die set. I love that the cute girl and her snowman!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Snow One Like You Winter Themed Holiday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Scenic Route, Frilly Frames Chevron Dies, Inside Greetings Holidays)

I colored this image with my Copics and added white highlights with a gel pen. Next, I pulled a red card base from my stash and cut a white panel with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Chevron set. We will use this piece to build the entire background of this scene card.

To start, I stamped the tree scene from Scenic Route directly on to this panel and used my Copics again for the coloring. To mimic the snow on the trees I added a bunch of fine lines with my white gel pen. I repeated this step on a separate piece of white card stock, but this time I only focused on the lower three pines. I used my scissors to fussy cut these trees, traced the outline with a black marker and glued them to the left of the panel filling in that part of the scene.

I wanted a dramatic sky, which I created with a cloud stencil from my stash and a combo of Saltwater Taffy and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks. After mounting the girl and her snowman to the scene, I added lots of white snowflakes with a white paint marker.

My sentiment was pulled from the Inside Greetings Holiday set and stamped on a white banner with Versafine Onyx Black ink. To add more interest to the sky I added lots of little white stars (Snowflake Circle Frame die).

And that finishes my card, I hope you are having fun creating your holiday projects! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Feeling Frosty Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a clean and simple winter themed card featuring these adorable snowmen from the Feeling Frosty set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Feeling Frosty Winter Themed Friendship Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Scenic Route, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

I stamped the background image from the Scenic Route Stamp set onto the top portion of a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also stamped the snowmen from the Feeling Frosty Stamp set onto another piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I used the coordinating Scenic Route Dies to die cut off the top portion of the full panel. I used the coordinating Feeling Frosty Dies to die cut the snowmen out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Snowmen: B0000/000, Y38 YR04, R20
Pink: RV10/21/13/14
Teal: BG10/53/45
Green: YG01/03/17
White: C1
Black: T5
Trees: YG03/25/17
Shadows: C1/3

For the sentiment, I used the Chloe Alphabet Dies to die cut a set of S-N-O-W letters out of black and teal cardstock. I layered and adhered the letters slightly offset to create a slight shadow. I used a white gel pen to add some snow to the top of each letter.

For the sub-sentiment, I used the colored snowmen and SNOW letters to roughly lay out my card front onto the colored panel. I aligned and stamped the "happy we're friends" sentiment from the Feeling Frosty stamp set directly onto the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered the SNOW letters onto the panel with liquid glue.

For the background, I trimmed a piece of patterned paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack and adhered it to the top portion of a white A2 card base. I adhered the colored background panel to the top of the card base. I added some snow to the patterned paper with a white gel pen. Finally, I adhered the snowmen with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card and are inspired to create and send a card to a friend. Be sure to check out the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop for more info and ideas. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Let's Chill Card with Amanda

Hey, crafty friends, and welcome back to the Sunny Studio Stamps blog! It’s Amanda here with you today sharing a cute little shaker card. I’ve been in a shaker-card mood lately, and I couldn’t resist making a fun, playful design featuring some of my favorite Sunny Studio holiday stamps!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Let's Chill Winter Themed Shaker Card by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Scenic Route, Stitched Arch Dies, Build-A-Greetings Holidays)

I started by creating my shaker portion of the card. To do this, I grabbed my All is Bright patterned paper and found the snowy teal paper. I trimmed this paper down to 4.25” x 5.5”. Using the largest of the Stitched Arch Dies, I ran it through my die cutting machine, centering the arch in the center of the panel.

Once I had my 2 pieces, I glued the background arch to an A2 card base and set it aside. I created my snowy hilly background with the Scenic Route Stamps. While I had all my stamp supplies out, I also stamped my 2 cuties from the Let’s Chill Stamps.

I created my sentiment using the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamps. This set has hundreds of combinations to make holiday sentiments and I LOVE it! I stamped the red words with Catherine Pooler’s Rouge ink first. Then, I stamped the rest with black ink.

I colored the images in with Copic markers. Here are the marker colors I used:
Trees: YG17 YG23
Snow: BG10, BG11, BG13
Seals: W0, W2, W3, W5, R20

Once all the images were colored, I cut them out with their coordinating dies. To make the hilly scene look like it’s in the background, I glued it behind my arched frame. I also put my sentiment strip behind the frame and glued it in place.

Now, to create the shaker part! I placed some Snow White Jewels on my card base in the center of the arch. On my front panel (the frame), I used double sided tape to adhere my piece of acetate. Then, I added foam strips around the entire front panel and then adhered it to my card base. The final step was to add my cute seals with some 3D foam squares to make them pop!

I had so much fun making this shaker card, and I hope it brings a smile to your face today! If you haven’t tried making a shaker in a while, consider this your little crafty nudge!

Santa Claus Lane & North Pole Christmas Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some Christmas cards featuring our Santa Claus Lane Stamps and North Pole Stamps.

Sunny Studio Holiday Christmas Cards using Santa Claus Lane, North Pole & Reindeer Games Clear Stamps & Cutting Craft Dies

My first card today, showcasing our Santa Claus Lane Stamps, is a rare creation for me because it utilizes only a single stamp set. I blended three large dots onto my card front using Salvaged Patina, Kitsh Flamingo, and Twisted Citron Distress inks to create a way to ground three mini scenes created with the images from the set. First, I have Santa holding a candy cane going down the chimney. My next scene has the other Santa from the set next to a decorated Christmas tree using the included ornaments, star, and gifts. My last scene along the bottom of my card has Santa standing next to the fireplace with four stockings hanging from the mantel. As a finishing touch, I stamped a greeting from the set in my card's top, right corner.

For my second card I used Mrs. Claus, Santa in a new pose, two elves, and the sign from our
North Pole Stamps, with the reindeer from Reindeer Games Stamps, and the sleigh and bags of toys from the Santa Claus Lane Stamps. To set the mood of the North Pole in my background, I inked my sky using Salty Ocean Distress Ink, added snowflakes with a white gel pen, and then layered in the snowy fir trees and hills using the Scene Route Stamps. Lastly, I stamped the "Spreading Christmas Cheer" sentiment from the North Pole set onto a thin pennant strip from the Notebook Photo Corners Dies.

That wraps up my projects for today. Thanks so much for hanging out with me. I hope I've inspired you to spread a little happiness by sending out a card to someone you love. ðŸ’›

Penguin Party Card with Amanda

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda here today with you on the blog this lovely Tuesday to share a really “fun & festive” holiday card!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Penguin Party Winter Themed Christmas Card by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Scenic Route, Stitched Arch Dies)

This card is so bright and cheery because of the Joyful Holiday Paper! I planned the entire card around that super fun paper pack! I trimmed the red and pink striped paper down to 4.25” x 5.25” to use as my background panel. The pink snowflake paper is trimmed to 3.75” x 5”. I glued both of these panels together onto an A2 card base.

The arched panel was created using the Stitched Arch Dies and a piece of white cardstock. On this panel, I stamped the hilly trees stamp from the Scenic Route Stamps. This set has the BEST winter backgrounds! I love it!

I used some low tack masking tape to create a mask so I could ink blend the sky. I used Cummerbund and All That Jazz from Catherine Pooler to create the sky. Then, I stamped my sentiment from the Penguin Party Stamps directly onto the sky with black ink.

Then, I stamped my penguins and gift boxes from the Penguin Party Stamps onto white cardstock. Next, it’s time to color everything! I colored my background and images using Copic Markers.

I used a combo of these markers all throughout the scene:
BG0000, BG00, BG01, BG45, BG49
R43, R46
RV10, RV13, RV14, RV17, RV19
YR04, YR09, YR21
YG01, YG06, YG17
N1, N3, N6, N8

I used the coordinating Penguin Party Dies to cut out the penguins and gifts. Then, I put 3D foam squares behind them and added them to the arched panel. I also put 3D foam strips behind the arch panel and added it to the center of the card base. Finally, I added snow with some white acrylic paint!

And that’s it for me today! I hope you’re feeling inspired to make something fun today! Come back tomorrow for more crafty holiday inspo!
