Crisp Apple Fall Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendipopping in to share some fall scene cards showcasing our Crisp Apple Dies.

Sunny Studio Fall Cards using Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Craft Dies, Punny Apple Greetings Stamps & Woodgrain Embossing Folder

My first card featuring the Crisp Apple Dies uses both the large apple and the apple core pieces in a clean & simple grid-style card. To achieve that gorgeous shine on my apple, I cut the pieces from white cardstock and then inked up the outside edges with Candied Apple and Fired Brick dstress inks, leaving a portion of the white cardstock uninked for the illusion of a reflection. For my background, I embossed a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and then rubbed the surface with my Antique Linen distress ink pad, before using a blending brush to smooth out the coverage. For my greeting, I heat-embossed a sentiment from the Punny Apple Greeting Stamps onto a small pennant strip inked up to match from the Notebook Photo Corners Die (which I ran through my die-cutting machine twice to shorted a bit).

My second card pairs the smaller apple from the Crisp Apple Dies with the Wood Barrel Dies. I once again cut the main part of my green apples from white cardstock and then inked them with Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, and Mowed Lawn Distress inks. For my barrel I cut the wood slats of the barrell using kraft cardstock, inking the left edge of each with Vintage Photo distress ink by sliding a thin piece of printer paper between the slats as a mask. I then cut the metal bands from a matte silver metallic cardstock for a touch of realism. For my card background I trimmed a piece of green diagional green print from the Classic Gingham Paper pack. To frame my barrel of apples, I used the Stitched Oval Dies to cut a blue gingham print from that same paper pack and then layered it over the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 Die. I completed my card by cutting the Brilliant Banner 3 dies from white cardstock and inking them up with Blueprint Sketch Distress ink in an ombre to match the patterned paper. I then heat embossed my sentiment using another phrase from the Punny Apple Greetings Stamps.

Fall Friends Card with Amanda

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda here with you celebrating BACK TO SCHOOL time!  I can’t believe summer is coming to a close already! But, it’s time to make those teacher cards! So, I’m here with you today sharing this adorable card I made for one of my kids’ teachers! I created a lot of layers for this card to give it a ton of dimension!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fall Friends Back To School Teacher Card by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Fall Scenes, Punny Apple Greetings)

First, I grabbed a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it to 4.25”x5.5”. On this panel, I lightly blended Catherine Pooler’s Oh Boy! ink all around the panel, focusing on the top portion. This will be for my background and the sky.

Next, on another piece of white cardstock trimmed to 4.25”x5.5”, I stamped the fence and tree image from the Fall Scenes Stamps. This stamp has available coordinating dies, so I used the appropriate die to cut out the top part of the panel. Then, I colored the entire scene with Copic markers. I placed 3D foam strips behind the grass, fence, and tree and then adhered it to my background panel.

The cute critters, applies, wagon, tree stump, and basket images come from the Fall Friends Stamps. I satmped extra apples, since this card is for a teacher! I colored all the images in with Copic markers. I added a few highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. Then, I die cut each image out with the coordinating dies.

I adhered 3D foam squares behind all the images. For some images, I needed to add an extra layer of foam squares to prop them up higher (such as the deer). Then, I added everything to the scene.

My sentiment comes from the Punny Apple Greetings Stamps. First, I grabbed a piece of scrap white cardstock. I stamped the word “picked” with Catherine Pooler Rouge ink first. Then, I placed the other words on each side and stamped them with black ink. I trimmed the cardstock down into a long strip and cut a little ribbon end. I put 2 layers of foam strips behind the sentiment and added it to the card to finish it off!

That’s all for me today, friends! I hope you’re feeling inspired to make something crafty today!

Crisp Apples Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today we are creating a fun card with the versatile Build-a-Bowl dies. You can fill this bowl with lots of fruits, I opted for some yummy Crisp Apples!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Build-A-Bowl & Crisp Apples Friendship Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Stitched Arch Dies, Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies, Dotted Diamond Dies, Ribbon & Lace Border Dies, Punny Apple Greetings, Brilliant Banner Dies)

Instead of a normal rectangle card base, I decided to round the corners and add a fun stripe pattern (stencil from my stash and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide).

I love adding lots of layers to my card, so next I cut a panel from a blue purple paper with one of the Rounded Rectangle Mat dies. I dry embossed this piece with the Dotted Diamond Portrait dieAfter cutting a smaller white piece of card stock with one of the Stitched Arch dies, I used the Woodgrain embossing folder for extra texture.

Then it was time for my centerpiece, which consists of the pretty bowl (Build-a-Bowl dies) cut from a purple gingham paper (Gingham Pastels) and embellished with a purple border (Ribbon and Lace Borders).

I cut a bunch of apples and leaves (Crisp Apples) from white card stock. I love that you get two sizes and colored them with Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Saltwater Taffy, Peacock Feathers and Scorched Timber.

My combined sentiment was taken from the Punny Apple Greetings set and stamped onto a white Brilliant Banner 4 with Versafine Onyx Black ink and a red ink from y stash. I stacked this banner on top of a purple one. A few Champagne Clear jewels were added for that extra sparkle.

Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog. I have a punny card to share with you featuring the Crisp Apple Die and Punny Apple Greetings from the latest release.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card with Hanh Nguyen (featuring Stitched Oval Dies, Diagonal Stencils, Brilliant Banner Dies)

Using the Crisp Apple Die, I die cut three apples, leaves and stems out of Bristol Smooth cardstock. To add color, I ink blended them with Candied Apple, Fired Brick and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I assembled the apples and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the background, I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and used the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils with some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink to create a gingham pattern. I loved how I was able to create my own matching patterned paper with the same color ink that I used for the rest of the card.

I die cut an oval using the largest die from the Stitched Oval 2 Dies set and Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I added some craft foam to the back of the oval before adhering the oval to the inked background.

For the sentiment, I used the Brilliant Banner 3 Die to die cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I added color to the banner with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. Once it was dry, I stamped the sentiment from the Punny Apple Greetings onto the banner with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also used the same stamp set and ink to stamp the word "You're" onto a piece of white cardstock. I trimmed out the word with scissors.

I adhered the left and right apples directly onto the oval with liquid adhesive. Foam tape was used to adhere the center apple and banner onto the oval. The "You're" sentiment was tucked above the banner. I adhered the panel to a white card base (4.25" x 5.5") and finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Be sure to check out the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop for more info and ideas. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card with Nicky

Hello friends, this is Nicky with you today and I'm sharing a new friendship card with you that was created using products from the latest release, focusing on the Crisp Apple Dies, and paired with formerly released products which are great staples to have in your die collection.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple Die & Punny Apple Greetings Friendship Card by Nicky Meek (featuring Tree Branch Dies, Little Birdie, Mini Grass Border Dies, Picket Fence Border Dies)

I ink blended a white A2 panel of cardstock using 'Blush' ink by The Stamp Market. I then took another A2 panel and created two grass strips using the Mini Grass Border dies. I ink blended the grass with 'Gumdrop' ink by The Stamp Market and then I used the Picket Fence Die to create the white picket fence and I glued the grass and fence to the pink background and set it to one side.

I die cut white cardstock using the Tree Branch Die and ink blended it using Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks. This die cut was backed with a skinny strip of foam tape and applied to the background.

Next, I used the Crisp Apple Die and die cut the small apple image 6 times and created several leaves too. Leaves were ink blended with the same Gumdrop ink mentioned above and the red apples were done with 'Lipstick' ink by The Stamp Market.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple Die & Punny Apple Greetings Friendship Card by Nicky Meek (featuring Tree Branch Dies, Little Birdie, Mini Grass Border Dies, Picket Fence Border Dies)

Punny Apple Greetings was used to create both the sentiment and a smiley face on each of the apples, I then glued all the components together where necessary and backed with foam tape and applied them to the scene.

Last but not least I took three of the bird images from Little Birdie and stamped and coloured them. I used Copic markers in B24, B12, B41, BG0000, R000 to colour them and I blushed their cheeks with R22, R21, R20 and R00. I fussy cut the images and adhered them to the scene. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and some daisies dotted in the grass then the whole panel was backed with white craft foam and applied to a fractionally bigger card base.

I certainly hope you enjoyed my happy little scene card and I'll see you again next Friday with something brand new.
