Fall Friends Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and I adore a card with a cute critter. The Fall Friends stamp and die set is of course one of my favourites this time of year. Although I keep using this set all year round for the lovely animals it contains!

For this design I went full fall with heaps of pumpkins, mushrooms and apples! All the coloring was done with Copic markers and I added white highlights with a gel pen. The frame for this card was made with both dies from the Frilly Frames Stripes die set.

Next, I used the outer die again to cut two smaller pieces from white card stock to create grassy borders (Mini Grass Border dies). For some contrast in the background I added a beautiful blue striped paper (Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones). Next, I mounted both grassy borders with foam tape before adhering all my images. 

I felt the top part of the project was a bit plain, and since this is a birthday card I added two white party banners (Crepe Paper Streamer dies). The big sentiment was taken from the Heartfelt Wishes set and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Lastly, I glued a few Orange Topaz Jewels in place for that extra bling.

Big Panda Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today I am creating a ‘get well’ project for my sister who is recovering from surgery. What better way to cheer her up then to send her a card featuring the cute Big Panda stamp and die set.

The whole idea for this design was combining the panda with a bold background. I browsed through my paper pads and came across this gorgeous rainbow wavy sheet (Spring Fever) which I cut to size so it would fit inside a white scalloped panel (Frilly Frames Polka-Dots). After gluing these two pieces together, I adhered both to a white card base.

Next, I stamped the cute panda (Big Panda stamp), a little bow, the flower bouquet and a letter (Big Bunny). I cut all the images with the matching dies, making sure to use the special die which cuts the arms of the panda. Now the bear can hold the flowers, so cute!! After coloring the images with my copics, I added some white highlights with a gel pen.

Although the panda looked cute against the bold background, I still decided to add an extra layer of vellum to tone the brightness down a bit. I wanted this layer to stick well to the pattern paper, so I adhered the vellum to a large piece of double sided sticky paper before cutting it with the spiral notebook die (Notebook Tabs dies). I glued this piece to the wavy paper at a little angle. My sentiment was taken from the Heartfelt Wishes set and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a white banner (Brilliant Banner 1).

To assemble the card, I placed the banner near the bottom of the vellum notebook page so I could tug in the bear behind this piece. I added the bow, flowers and letter and mounted everything with foam tape. After sprinkling a few Iridescent Clear Jewels this sweet project was ready!

Designer's Choice: Sealiously Sweet Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today we are going to the beach! The sun is out and so are the cute seals from the Sealiously Sweet set. Totally adorable with their little floaties!

To set the scene, I die cut a panel of white card stock with the beautiful Tropical Trees Backdrop dies. This die makes it super easy to create a beachy vibe in no time. I kept the frame part white and started inking up the sand with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide.

The top part of the background was colored with Salty Ocean ink. I added an extra dark ‘line’ with a blue Copic marker to define the separation between sea and sky.

One of the seals will be playing in the ocean so I used a small wave die from my stash to cut an opening. Next, I glued the white frame to a card base and added the two other pieces which fit like a puzzle.

After stamping three adorable seals and some accessories I did all the coloring with Copics. I used the same green and brown markers for the palm tree die cuts from Tropical Trees Backdrop dies.

The curved banner from Brilliant Banner 2 die was perfect to add to this tropical scene. The sentiment was taken from the versatile Heartfelt Wishes set and stamped in pink ink.

After I glued the palm trees in place, I added the sweet seals and accessories. The white ‘waves and foam’ were created with a Snow Pen which I normally only use on winter cards, but it delivered for this summer scene as well! I finished this project by sprinkling a few Crystal Clear jewels.

Sprawling Surfaces Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am featuring the versatile Sprawling Surfaces stamp set which will be a staple in my stash for sure! I love that you get three different textures, so the possibilities are endless.

I had been wanting to use the adorable houses from the Charming City for a while and they are the perfect match for the brick pavement. Since I incorporated several fun colors for the houses, my card base and frame needed to be more muted. To start, I created a simple white base and cut a panel with the border die from Frilly Frames Chevron and a tiled paper (Subtle Grey Tones pad). The largest Stitched Arched Die creates the perfect opening for any scene and you’ll end up with a an arched frame and an inner piece that I put aside for another project.

Next, I stamped the row of houses from Charming City and the cycling cuties from Bighearted Bears. All the coloring was done with Copic Markers, and I added some details with a white gel pen. This time I opted for a more Mediterranean vibe and houses in bright colors.

For my background, I stamped the brick pavement onto a piece of white Neenah paper and used some more Copics in matching pink shades. The sky portion was ink blended with Distress Oxide Victorian Velvet.

I glued the background to my card base and added the row of houses directly above the brick pavement. Then I could mount the grey frame with foam tape. That instantly creates lots of dimension. Lastly, I placed the cute bears in front of the houses.

My sentiment (Heartfelt Wishes) was stamped in a purple die ink onto a white Brilliant Banner 2. It fitted perfectly above the row of houses. As extra embellishments I added a few white hearts (Bursting Hearts die), some leaves (Winter Greenery dies) and small flowers (Spring Garden dies).

Notebook Die Focused Card with Bobbi

Hello Sunny friends! It’s Bobbi here with a file folder filled with get well wishes! I’m using the new Notebook Tabs dies, to make the manila folder with some well wishes inside. 

I’m also using the following products:

Sending Sunshine stamps 

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I started with a light yellow cardstock that looks similar to the color of a manila folder. I cut the piece to  9 -1/4″ wide X 7″ long and scored at 5″  to make the front panel shorter than the back panel. I used a corner rounder (1/4″) to round the edges. I added a tab to the top of the front panel in a light blue with a white center. This card could be personalized with the name of the recipient on the tab.

I decorated the front of the file folder with the cute puppy holding the heart, the balloons and the sentiment strips from Sending Sunshine stamps. I added some confetti in bold cardstock colors. I also used the die cut scrap border from one of the notebook pages (located inside the folder) to the front for a background for the balloons and pup.

Inside, I added two pieces of  “notebook” paper, a red and white striped paper clip and a puppy at the bottom. I stamped the sentiment, “get well wishes” on the inside. I used a stamp from the A Cut Above stamp set to make the lines on the notebook paper. A little personalized note could be written on the lines!
