Holiday Hugs Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and for this sweet holiday card I am featuring one of my all time favorites, the Holiday Hugs stamp and die set! I love that the cute bear can hold several accessories for any occasion.

I grabbed a white card base from my stash and started to create a border using a combination of the Frilly Frames Stripes die (outer die) and a smaller Rounded Rectangle Window die. This gives you a lovely scalloped border, wide enough to frame the cute bear and leave some room for a large sentiment.

Next, I cut a rectangle from a teal polka dot paper (Dots & Stripes Pastels) with my scissors. It doesn’t have to be precise since the edges get covered with the frame. I stamped my cute bear and a Christmas stocking (Holiday Hugs stamp). All the coloring was done with my Copics in a festive red and green combo. While I had my Misti out, I also created the sentiment in a red ink from my stash (Holiday Greetings).

To assemble the card I glued the pattern paper to the back of the frame and adhered this piece to the card base with liquid glue. Next, I added the bear with foam tape and tucked the stocking in his little paws. The sentiment was turned into a chipboard piece by adding two layers of white to the back of the red one.

For adding snowflakes to my Christmas cards, I love using the Snowflake Circle Frame to create a bunch of them at once! Each snowflake was adorned with an Iridescent Clear Jewel in the center.

Reindeer Games Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back with this cheerful shaker card showcasing Santa and the reindeers getting ready for the holiday season. As very often I picked images from different sets to create a nice and cute mix & match scene, and as always everything is listed down below.

So, speaking of which, I started off by stamping my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • North Pole - Santa, north pole sign, nice list • Reindeer Games - reindeers • Snowmen In Sweaters - trees, snowflakes • Santa Claus Lane - presents, sack.

I added highlights and details to the images with a white gel pen, applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the trees to make the snow on them sparkle, and then moved on to the shaker panel and cut all the pieces I needed to build it. First, I cut a Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of an All Is Bright turquoise paper using the largest die from the set. 

Next I picked the fourth smallest Rounded Rectangle Window die and cut two openings out of my turquoise panel. And using that same fourth smallest die again, I cut two panels out of white cardstock and cut a wavy border out of each of those white panels to create two snowy borders. For the background of my shaker, I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Joyful Holiday polka dot panel.

Before assembling my shaker panel, I added texture to the different pieces. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add white splatters to the turquoise panel and to the polka dot panel, I mixed liquid stardust with water and added sparkling splatters to the snowy borders, and when my turquoise panel was dry, I stamped "Have a super jolly Christmas" from Reindeer Games at the very bottom using black ink.

I attached a piece of acetate at the back of my turquoise panel using liquid glue, and still at the back of my panel, I attached foam strips around each opening and on the rest of the panel as well. I poured twenty White Snowflake confetti inside each opening and tiny clear crystal pieces as well, peeled all the backing papers off the foam strips, and then attached my polka dot panel to totally close my shaker panel. Back to the front of my panel, I stuck a snowy border at the bottom of each opening using liquid glue, attached my shaker panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel and then to a white card base. Next I finally attached my images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.

Bountiful Autumn Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be back with this new autumn themed card showcasing the lovely Bountiful Autumn stamp set. I've had this set in my stash for years but for some reason I never used it, so it was finally time to fix that.

As very often I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and then I colored everything using my alcohol markers. And it almost never happens: I only used images from Bountiful Autumn on this card!

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I created the background. I cut a rounded panel out of a leafy green paper from the Sweater Weather paper pack using the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, mixed some peeled paint distress ink with water and added green splatters all over my panel, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Gingham Jewel Tones turquoise panel, and used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn my gingham panel into a frame. I added white splatters to that frame, and once dry, I attached it to my leafy green panel using 1mm foam squares.

I white heat embossed "Thankful" from Bountiful Autumn, stamped "For your kindness" on some light aqua cardstock using another stamp from the same set, cut it with the matching die, attached it below "Thankful" using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck all my cute images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Finally I attached my rounded panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light aqua panel using foam tape, and then the whole thing to a white card base.

Squirrel Friends Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be back with the extra cute Squirrel Friends, all gathered to pick acorns and have fun in the woods.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, as always I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Squirrel Friends - squirrels, acorns, stump • Little Birdie - branches • Silly Sloths - leaves • Bunnyville - grass.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and next I moved on to the background. I cut a rounded panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock using the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die, and created a bright background using stencils from my stash along with distress inks: a grass border using peeled paint distress ink, and a cloudy sky using scattered straw and fossilized amber distress ink.

Next I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a Gingham Jewel Tones brown panel, and used the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn my brown gingham panel into a rounded frame. I attached that frame to my cloudy panel using 1mm foam squares, stamped "You're a little nutty & I love it!" from Squirrel Friends, and then attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. Finally I stuck my rounded scene to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches dark brown panel, and then to a brown card base.

Plane Awesome Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm super happy to be back with this 4th of July themed shaker card featuring a mix and match of images from multiple stamp sets. I may not be an American citizen, but 4th of July cards have always been extra fun to create because you don't get to use this red, white and blue color palette on many cards.

So, as very often, I started off by stamping the images on 110 Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. And as always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Plane Awesome - plane, banner, clouds, pilot • Spring Showers - kids • Truckloads Of Love - flags • Bunnyville - tulips, grass • Scenic Route - houses • Spring Scenes - trees.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen. Next, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a Surprise Party starry blue paper, I darkened the edges using chipped sapphire distress ink, mixed some of that same ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to the panel, mostly on the edges, and then I did the same with copic opaque white ink.

While my starry blue panel was drying, I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and created a very simple sky all over it using a cloudy stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and salty ocean oxide inks. I splattered water on the panel, dried it with a paper towel, mixed some salty ocean oxide ink, prize ribbon oxide ink and candied apple oxide ink with water and used my slim brush again to add blue and red splatters to my cloudy background. I added white splatters as well, and once my panel was dry, I attached the Scenic Route houses at the bottom using liquid glue.

Once my starry blue panel was dry, I cut a large opening out of it using the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die, leaving me with a starry blue frame. I attached this frame to a piece of acetate using liquid glue, I flipped my panel over and added foam strips all along the rounded window and along the very edges of my panel as well, I poured some Americana confetti on the acetate, peeled the backing papers off the foam strips, and then attached my cloudy panel to those strips to totally close my shaker panel.

I white heat embossed "Let your dreams soar" from Plane Awesome on the banner, and finally attached all the images to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares.
