 -------------------------------------------------------

Hi you! It's Jarle here, with my very first post as a member of the Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team. I am excited to be here and I hope to inspire you with my projects. Today I am using the beautiful Nativity Scene Builder die set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Nativity Scene Builder Christmas Card by Jarle Franceus (featuring Rounded Rectangle Window Dies, Build-A-Greetings Holidays)

I started by inking up my A2 panel with different Distress Oxide colors: Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Blueprint Sketch. I splattered on some Copic white, diluted with water, and let it dry.

I trimmed a panel out of Brushed Gold cardstock from Spellbinders to A2 size. I then used the Rounded Rectangle Window dies to die-cut a window out of that same panel. This gives a lovely stitching detail to the frame. Since I really love dimension on handmade cards, I put foam strips on the back of that frame and popped it on the ink-blended panel.

I die-cut different pieces of the Nativity set in black and (the same) brushed gold cardstock. I assembled all the pieces inside the window. Some were popped up with foam squares and others were adhered directly onto the panel with liquid glue.

After that, I stamped my sentiment of the Build-A-Greeting: Holidays stamp set onto black cardstock with Versamark ink, sprinkled on white embossing powder, and heat-set it with my heat gun. I trimmed it down to a small strip and placed it inside my scene. Finally, I adhered the whole panel to a white card base.

I like how the colors turned out, and those silhouettes just make the perfect elegant Christmas card! Have a beautiful day!

Rounded Rectangle Window Die Focused Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this tropical birthday card with lots of bright summer colors.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Rounded Rectangle Window Die & Fabulous Flamingo Birthday Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Botanical Backdrop Dies, Slimline Dies)

I started by die-cutting two frames from green and pink cardstock using the Rounded Rectangle Window dies. For this, I used the two largest dies in the set to create a colorful layered frame.

Next, I used the second largest die to cut a card base from white cardstock. I then die-cut sections of this white panel using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies. After cutting the different sections, I blended them with ink to create a soft beach scene with sandy beach and fluffy clouds in the background.

From green cardstock, I die-cut the Botanical Backdrop die. I adhered the leafy pieces to the pink frame first and then attached the entire frame to the beach background panel. Finally, I added the green frame around the design and adhered everything to a white card base.

For the focal point, I stamped the adorable flamingo from the Fabulous Flamingos stamp set and the balloon from the Party Pets stamp set. I colored both images with my Ohuhu Pencils, adding bright pinks and blues to make them really stand out against the soft background.

I adhered the flamingo to the center of the card and finished the design by stamping the sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingos stamp set with blue ink.

Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.

Balloon Numbers Card with Yan

Hey crafty friends! It's Yan here, and today I’m showcasing the versatile Balloon Numbers Stamps. Instead of using them as a focal point, I stamped them in soft pastel tones to create a subtle, playful patterned backdrop for this adorable foxy scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Balloon Numbers & Foxy Friends Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Brilliant Banner Dies, Radiating Circles Dies, Rounded Rectangle Dies)

To kick things off, I stamped the adorable fox, umbrella, and little birds from the Foxy Friends Stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Coloring them with Copic markers is always my favorite relaxed step! Once I finished coloring, I lined up the matching Foxy Friends Dies to die-cut all the pieces flawlessly.

COPIC COLORS:
Fox: E41, E43, R30, YR65
Umbrealla: B000, BG23, W1
Birds: R30, Y11, Y15

For the backdrop, I wanted a subtle patterned look without being too overwhelming. So, I took a separate piece of white cardstock and stamped the Balloon Numbers softly in pastel shades across the panel, then die-cut it with the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies. Next, I die-cut a circle using the Radiating Circle Dies and gently ink-blended Distress Oxide Ink in Salvaged Patina in the center to create a soft, airy sky for my little scene.

For the sentiment, I stamped "HAVE A FOXTASTIC DAY!" in crisp black ink onto a banner die-cut using the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies.

Finally, I mounted the background panel onto a golden-orange cardbase, then popped up the radiating circle, banner, and cute images using foam tape. That extra dimension really brings the little fox and his bird friends to life!

I hope this project inspires you to look at your number stamps in a fun new way! Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy crafting!

Silly Sloths Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a sweet birthday card to share with you showcasing the adorable Silly Sloths set. So let’s get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Silly Sloths Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Jungle Vines Dies, Rounded Rectangle Window Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies)

I stamped the images from the Silly Sloths Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Silly Sloths Dies to die cut them out. The Jungle Vines Dies were used to die cut a couple of tropical leaves out of the same Neenah white cardstock. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Sloths: E40/41/42/43/44, R20
Branches: E21/23/25/27
Leaves: YG01/03/25/17
Flowers: Y08/19, RV10/21/13/14

Sunny Studio Stamps: Silly Sloths Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Jungle Vines Dies, Rounded Rectangle Window Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies)

For the background, I used Spun Sugar and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. The second largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies was used to die cut a window out the center of a piece of white cardstock to create the white frame.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Have a slothsome birthday” sentiment from the Silly Sloths Stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the banner die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies to die cut it out.

The colored images, sentiment and white frame were adhered to the card front with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”).

Foxy Friends Card with Yan

Hi friends, it’s Yan here! Today I’m sharing a handmade card featuring the Foxy Friends Stamps. This project combines stamping, coloring, ink blending, and die-cut layering to create a fun woodland scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Foxy Friends Friendship Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Balloon Alphabet Dies, Rounded Rectangle Window Dies)

To begin, stamp the images from the Foxy Friends Stamps set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color the images with Copic markers, then die-cut them using the coordinating Foxy Friends Dies

COPIC COLOR:
Chicks: R30, Y02, Y11, Y15
Fox : E31, E35, E41, R30, YR65, YR68
Potted Tulips : B000, B12, RV10, RV11, RV34, Y02, Y15, YG03, YG63

From there, I created the background by softly blending Distress Oxides in Worn Lipstick, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron onto a separate piece of white cardstock, building a gentle, colorful base for the nature inspired card design.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Foxy Friends Friendship Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Balloon Alphabet Dies, Rounded Rectangle Window Dies)

To add the sentiment, I stamped the word “FOXY” in different colors onto white cardstock using the Balloon Alphabet Stamps, then used the coordinating Balloon Alphabet Dies to cut out each letter for a bold and playful look.

Finally, I die-cut a frame using the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies and assembled all the elements together with foam tape to build dimension, and completing the full scene as shown in the finished card.

I really enjoyed putting this card together, especially combining the soft ink blending with the playful alphabet sentiment. It’s always fun to see the scene come alive step by step. Thank you for stopping by today! I hope this tutorial gives you some inspiration for creating your own woodland themed cards. Happy crafting!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Monkey Business Cards with Rachel Alvarado

Sunny Studio Stamps: Monkey Business & Jungle Vines Cards by Rachel Alvarado (featuring Rounded Rectangle Window Dies, Slimline Nature Border Dies)

Hello crafty friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! It's Rachel here, and I have two cards to share with you that showcase the adorable new Monkey Business Stamps and Jungle Vines Dies. I had so much fun making these cards with these products!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Monkey Business & Jungle Vines Cards by Rachel Alvarado (featuring Rounded Rectangle Window Dies, Slimline Nature Border Dies)

For my first card, I created a shadow box card that folds flat for shipping. This card measures at 5.5" tall, 4.25" wide, and 1.5" deep. When folded flat, it can fit in a standard A8 envelope and measures 5.5" tall and 5.75" long. For the front window of this shadow box, I die cut a rounded stitched rectangle using the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies

For the inside of the card, I added a few hills of grass using the Slimline Nature Border Dies. I die cut the grass pieces from white card stock and blended them with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink. I also die cut my vines and foliage pieces from white card stock and used Copic Markers to give them some color and shading. For my monkeys, I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I then die cut them using the coordinating Monkey Business Dies.

Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment on black card stock using some Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and glued it to the front strip of grass.

Copic Colors Used:

  • Monkeys: E000, E00, E11, E04 (light areas); E43, E44, E47 (dark areas)
  • Foliage: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
  • Tree Limbs: E31, E23, E25, E29
  • Bananas: Y13, Y15, V12

I used the same Copic colors for my images on my second card as well as the Monkey Business Stamp Set and Dies. For my background, I used a beautiful piece of patterned paper from the Spring Fling Paper Pad. This pre-printed design makes it super easy to add some beautiful backgrounds without any fuss.

Once again, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and cut it out using my paper trimmer before adhering it to my card.

I hope you enjoyed my cards today and will give these products a closer look! Thanks so much for stopping by!
