Big Bunny Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today with a fun birthday card featuring the Big Bunny Stamps. I just love how this adorable bunny can be used for so many occasions!

This is an A2 card and I started with a festive multi-colored background. I cut a piece of white cardstock 4" x 5 1/2" and inked it with Tumbled Glass, Spun Sugar, Twisted Citron and Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks. For stitched detailing, I die-cut the 5 1/2" edges of the panel using a Ribbon & Lace Borders Die.

Next, I die-cut balloons and streamers from white cardstock using the Bright Balloons Dies and Crepe Paper Streamers Dies. I inked them with the same Distress inks as the panel. I adhered the streamers first and trimmed the excess from the edges. For the balloon strings, I tied gray embroidery floss to each and then adhered the balloons.

I stamped the bunny and bow from the Big Bunny Stamps and the cupcake from the Holiday Hugs Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I adhered the bunny to the bottom of the panel and added a strip of Spring Fever Paper along the bottom that I die-cut using a Ribbon & Lace Borders Die and cut to 4" long.

I cut 2 strips of black cardstock 5 1/2" long and adhered one under each side of the background panel so just a sliver of black is visible. I then adhered the panel to a white card front.

To finish, I die-cut a punny sentiment from gray and black cardstock using the Hayley Lowercase Alphabet Dies and an exclamation point from the Hayley Uppercase Alphabet Dies. I slightly overlapped the colors to make the gray stand out a bit more. I stamped the "IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!" sentiment from the Puddle Jumpers Stamps on a strip of gray cardstock.

Bright Balloons Card with Isha

Hello everyone, Isha here with a CAS baby girl card featuring the Bright Balloons dies. I felt the balloons and the fairy were perfect for the baby card :)

I started by sponging squeezed lemonade, kitsch flamingo and wilted violet distress oxide inks to a white panel. Flick silver and gold paint. Die-cut the balloons, sponge the same inks as above. Add nuvo glaze and sprinkle some chunky glitter, let dry. 

Stamp the images, color and die-cut using the coordinating dies:
Fairy - Garden Fairy stamps and dies
Clouds and sentiment - Baby Elephants stamps and dies

Add gold floss to the balloons, adhere the panel and all the images to a white cardbase. Finish by adding pastel rainbow confetti by Studio Katia.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Kristie Marcotte

Hey everyone, Kristie Marcotte here. I'm so excited to be sharing several cards with you today that focus on the Surprise Party paper pack. Let's get right to it!

I made a fun patriotic birthday card featuring red and blue tone on tone patterned papers. I added a couple balloons above the sentiment and included the Ric Rac Border across the card. I used the Bright Balloons, Ric Rac Border,and Big Bold Greetings.

This card features the Subtle Grey Tones paper for the background. I used some of the tone-on-tone patterns from the Surprise Party paper pad for all the presents and filled the background with lots of gifts. I used Perfect Gift Boxes, Crepe Paper Streamers and Big Bold Greetings.

The background features the colorful party hat paper. I added a couple tone on tone strips. I included 3 balloons on an oval die cut. I used Bright Balloons and Big Bold Greetings.

I used some white shimmer cardstock for the background and added several narrow strips of patterned paper in pink and teal. I added a couple of present images on a vellum circle, plus a few balloons above the sentiment. I used Bright Balloons, Perfect Gift Boxes, and Big Bold Greetings.

 It's still July, so I couldn't resist making a fun Christmas card. I used the green star tone on tone paper for the background and cut out some wonky windows. I added a tiny poinsettia inside each window. I used Wonky Windows, Window Quad Circle, and Inside Greetings Holiday.

Bright Balloons Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina and today I am featuring the super fun Bright Balloons dies. This set is perfect for lots of occasions, and by keeping the sentiment festive but neutral it’s a versatile card! Although I am a little bit of a hoarder of pretty craft papers, I do have (as many of us!) a large pile of scraps too! These balloon dies are perfect for using up small colorful pieces.  

I love going through my paper pads mixing and matching patterns. All four balloon shapes were cut using scraps from Gingham Pastels, Dots & Stripes Pastels, and yes … even two Christmas pads (All Is Bright, Joyful Holiday)!

My goal is to keep cards relatively flat for mailing purposes. But today, I went all out with foam tape for lots of dimension in this circle tunnel design!

The card panel is a pretty blue paper from Dots & Stripes Pastels cut with the outside border Frilly Frames Stripes Die. I selected three circles from an infinity die set and used the largest one for this panel. I repeated this step with a smaller circle die and a white panel, finally I cut the third circle from a pink paper. Next, I dry embossed a white piece of Neenah paper with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.

Of course I needed a cute critter to hold the big pile of balloons, I went with an adorable bear from Panda Party. All the coloring was done with Copic Markers. I stamped a combined sentiment from Happy Thoughts onto a small white banner with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Finally, I folded a white card base and adhered all my layering panels using foam tape where needed. I placed the sentiment on the bottom of the blue card panel and added my panda with the party hat. To assemble the balloon cluster, I used some Press ‘n Seal and temporary adhesive so I could easily adjust. I opted to just add one string to the balloons because ten was a bit much! A few Chrystal Clear Jewels were all the embellishment this card needed.

Perfect Gift Boxes Card with Bobbi

So many boxes adorn this card for a special birthday. It’s Bobbi here with a celebration card featuring our Perfect Gift Boxes dies. This set features a tall box and a smaller square-shaped box, both fitted with coordinating bows on top. 

I cut four sets of box/bow pieces in yellow, green, blue and red and then mix and matched the colors for unique looks. I also used my white Gelly Roll pen to add dots, stripes, and stitches to make them a little more decorative.

I like to make 5″ X 7″ greeting cards so I attached these cute presents to the top of a white A7 card base. I added strips of warm gray cardstock strips in three graduating widths with white showing through between each strip. I like the contrast of the clean strips on the bottom with the bold presents on top.

To complete the card, I added a bright red heart balloon at the top using the Bright Balloons dies. I hand drew the black string to connect it to the boxes. I also added some hand cut banners at the top. If you prefer a die, Sunny Studio has one! The Banner Basics die set works perfect for this! I stamped the word “celebrate” from the stamp set, Birthday Cats. Lastly, I added a few pieces of shimmery confetti above and around the balloon for a bit of fun sparkle.

Bright Balloons Cards with Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Catherine here! Today, I am sharing a colorful birthday card created with Bright Balloons Dies.

To start, I ink blended A2 white cardstock with a stencil I created using the Bright Balloons Dies with Tumbled Glass, Dried Marigold, and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides. I ink blended the bottom of the panel with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and added some splatters of pink watercolor.  I stamped the confetti and “balloon strings” using the confetti stamps from Bold Balloons Stamps. Using the Nesting Rectangle Infinity Dies, I die cut  a rectangle, 4 5/8” x 3 3/8” in the middle of the panel for an eclipse effect.

For the balloons, I die cut the balloons from alcohol ink backgrounds using the following colors:
Yellow/Orange: Altenew Orange Cream and Mango Smoothie
Pink: Altenew Cotton Candy
Yellow/Green: Altenew Mango Smoothie and Parrot
Blue: Marabou Carribean

I added some gold deco foil onto the background for added details. I adhered some gold string onto the balloons.

As I adore pandas, I added a panda from Panda Party Stamps and a party hat from Party Pups Stamps. I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment from the Party Pups Stamps and some Crystal Clear Fusion for extra sparkle!
