Guest Designer Spotlight: All Occasion Cards with Kavya

Hi folks, Kavya from Handmade By Kavya with some fun inspiration for the latest release! The new release is fueled with fun adorable cuties perfect for any occasion. Since it's valentine's day, I am going to show you how to make three cards that could be perfect for any occasion including today. How perfect is that? I think every card stash needs cards that are versatile!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Vintage Valentine & Garden Fairy All Occasion Cards by Kavya (featuring Frilly Frame Dies)

For my first card, we will be highlighting the typewriter from Vintage Valentines stamp set. I started off by stamping images from Vintage Valentines and Garden Fairy. For the background, I started off by die cutting Frilly Frames Quatrefoil using navy blue cardstock.

For the background, I took a lighter blue cardstock and ink blended the top using navy blue dye ink. For the table, I used pattern paper from All is Bright paper pack. Adhere all the images as shown in the picture below. Add a few details using white gel pen and you are done!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Vintage Valentine & Snail Mail All Occasion Cards by Kavya (featuring Garden Fairy, Stitched Oval Dies, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies)

For my next card, I am making a cute snail mail themed card! I started off by stamping and coloring a bunch of images from Vintage ValentinesGarden Critters and Snail Mail. Then, I created my oval base using Stitched Oval and Scalloped Oval Mat 3 dies.

I then ink bended the top of the stitched oval die using pale pink dye ink. For the background, I used pattern paper from Critter Country paper pack. Adhere all the images, add a few details using a white gel pen and you are done!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Speech Bubbles Extras Die Focused All Occasion Card by Kavya (featuring Loopy Letters Dies)

My final card is super simple to make but I think it's absolutely stunning! I started off by preparing my base using white cardstock and Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones paper pack.

Then, I die cut a bunch of speech bubbles using Speech Bubbles Extras dies. Then, I added a 'hi' using Loopy Letters dies. Added a few details like hearts using white gel pen and I was done!

I hope you liked all all of these cards :) Happy Crafting!

Treat Bag Topper Gift with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a fun Valentine's gift using the Treat Bag Topper Dies. These dies are perfect for any occasion and add such a great touch to a little gift!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Treat Bag Topper Die Focused Valentine's Day Treat Bag by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Sprawling Surfaces, Truckloads Of Love, Scalloped Heart Dies, Stitched Heart Dies, Loopy Letter Dies, Dotted Diamond Dies)

I started by die-cutting the topper from white cardstock and then die-cutting it with the Dotted Diamond Landscape Die for a little texture. Since I chose a panda in my little scene, I die-cut the topper again from black cardstock and overlapped/adhered the white and black toppers together.

Next, I die-cut the stitched rectangle in the dies from cream cardstock and inked it lightly with Saltwater Taffy Distress ink. I also splattered a little watered down white and black paints with a fan brush. I then stamped the cobblestone stamp from the Sprawling Surfaces Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock and colored it with Copics. I used the same stitched rectangle die and die-cut the top portion of the stamp. I used scissors and cut along the top edge of the cobblestone and adhered it to the bottom of the cream stitched rectangle.

Next, I stamped the panda, truck, hearts and heart balloons on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies.

I used the following stamps/dies:
Bighearted Bears Stamps/Dies (heart balloons)

Balloon Rides Stamps/Dies (panda)

Truckloads of Love Stamps/Dies

I adhered the heart balloons to the treat bag topper first and then adhered the stitched rectangle with the truck. I heat embossed small sentiments from the Truckloads of Love Stamps and Panda Party Stamps on pink cardstock with white embossing powder and hand cut around them. I die-cut the "love" sentiment using the Loopy Letters Dies from black and white cardstock and layered them together.

The Treat Bag Topper Dies are sized perfectly to fit the top of a cellophane treat bag, but I decided to make an outer sleeve to go over a cellophane bag. This allowed the treat bag to stand upright with candy inside. To make this, I cut a piece of kraft cardstock 4" x 11" and scored it on the 11" side at 4 3/4" and 6 1/4". I then die-cut one end of the cardstock using the Dotted Diamond Landscape Die to match the topper.

I created a window to see the treats inside by die-cutting the cardstock 3/4" up from the score line using the second largest Stitched Heart 2 Dies. To get a scalloped heart border around the opening, I die-cut a piece of pink cardstock using the second largest Scalloped Heart Dies and then die-cut it using the second largest Stitched Heart 2 Dies. I then adhered the scalloped frame around the opening.

To finish, I filled a cellophane treat bag with some candy, set it inside the folded kraft cardstock piece and stapled it at the top.  I then adhered my treat bag topper to the top of the kraft cardstock.

I had a lot of fun making this and hope you enjoyed! Thanks for stopping by today! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.

Little Buckaroo Card with Catherine

Howdy Crafty Friends! It’s Catherine! Today, I am sharing a friendship card created with Little Buckaroo Stamps inspired by one of my favourite movies … Can you guess which movie?

Sunny Studio Stamps: Little Buckaroo Friendship Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Loopy Letter Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies, Picket Fence Border Dies, Fluffy Cloud Dies)

To start, I created a cloudy background with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide on A2 white cardstock using a stencil I made with Fluffy Clouds Border Dies. I splattered some blue watercolor onto the clouds. I added a few clouds with Fluffy Clouds Dies.

Next, I made a grassy border using the grass die from Picket Fence Die. I ink blended the grass border with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide. I sprayed some water and flicked some green watercolor for added interest. I added some grass using the grass stamp and dies from Chickie Baby StampsI adhered the clouds and grass border onto the background panel and added a stitch border along the edges.

I made blocks by die cutting 1” squares with a square die in my stash. I inked the center of each block with Antique Linen Distress Oxide and ink blended the borders with Festive Berries, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, and Dusty Concord Distress Oxides.

I die cut “FRIEND” out of white cardstock using Chloe Alphabet Dies and ink blended the letters with the same Distress Oxides.

I stamped the cowgirl and cowboy from Little Buckaroos Stamps, horse and pig from Barnyard Buddies Stamps, dog from Puppy Parents Stamps, and bear from Beach Buddies Stamps. I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and I colored the images with Copic Markers listed in my blog link below. I adhered all the images onto the background.

I finished off the card by adding “Howdy” by die cutting white cardstock with Loopy Letters Dies and ink blending the letters with Festive Berries Distress Oxide.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Please feel free to visit me at Crafti-Cat for a list of Copic Markers used. Have a wonderful week!
