Feeling Frosty & Snowman Kisses Winter Holiday Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi popping in to share some winter-themed holiday cards featuring our Feeling Frosty Stamps and Snowman Kisses Stamps. If you are scrambling to finish up your holiday cards but are worried you won't get them done before Christmas, snowman cards work great all winter long.

My first card showcases three of the six snowmen from the Feeling Frosty Stamps. I paired them with the stylized tree from the set, colored with Copic Markers in frosty blue tones and topped with Stickles Stardust Glitter. For the backdrop behind them, I inked in two of the three layers of the Forest Trees Stencils using Tumbled Glass & Salty Ocean Distress inks. Lastly, I rounded the bottom two corners of my card using a corner rounder. This card was very easy to color and came together quite quickly, especially when using my heat gun to speed up the Stickles drying time.

For my second card, I paired the snowmen from both the Feeling Frosty Stamps and Snowman Kisses Stamps to form a rainbow slimline card by coloring each snowman's snowy gear in monochromatic colors. For the base of my 9" wide x 4" high card, I started by inking the background using a light touch of Salty Ocean Distress ink. I then layered on a snowy stitched hillside using the Slimline Nature Border Dies, where I lined up my snowmen to match the hill's curve. Once I had all my snowmen in place, I added four speech bubbles above them from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies. I added greetings to each of the bubbles from the Feeling Frosty set and the "sending hugs" sentiment from the Alpaca Holiday Stamps using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. At this point, my card felt a little flat to me, like it was missing something, so I pulled out the snowflakes from the Snowflake Circle Frame Dies to cut one from each color of cardstock to match the snowmen.

Roly Poly Penguins Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm back with this fun holiday card featuring the cute Roly Poly Penguins in a red, black and white color palette. How nice it was to color those sweet penguins again!

I started off by cutting a 5,5 x 4,25 inches panel out of a Joyful Holiday snowflake pattern paper, I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters all over my panel, and I did the same with liquid stardust for sparkles. Next I cut a Comic Strip Speech Bubble frame out of an All Is Bright red & white stripe pattern paper, and attached it to my snowflake panel using 1mm foam squares. I cut another Comic Strip Speech Bubble panel out of white cardstock, kept three of the inside pieces, turned them into snow borders using a Ribbon & Lace Borders die, added sparkling splatters to those pieces, and then stuck them to my panel using 1mm foam squares again.

On the top right hand square section, I stamped "It's penguining to look a lot like Christmas" from Penguin Pals. First, I white heat embossed "penguining" in the center of the square, and then stamped "it's" and "to look a lot like Christmas" in black. Next I stamped my images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. The penguins are from Roly Poly Penguins, and the snowflakes are from Holiday Hugs.

I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, attached everything to my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and finally stuck my panel to a white card base.

Bear Hugs Stamps & Holiday Express Stamps Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some Christmas cards featuring our Bear Hugs Stamps and Holiday Express Stamps.

For my first card today, I used all the cute polar bears from the Bear Hugs Stamps with the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Die to frame each miniature scene using the set's tree, ice block, balloon, and candy cane. I inked up behind the frame using a light touch of Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and then cut out stitched snowy slopes using the Slimline Nature Border Dies. Finally, I stamped a punny greeting using VersaFine Onyx Black ink from the set. I really loved how clean and fresh this turned out with the simple red, white, and blue color scheme, so I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to design both cards today using that limited color palette.

My second card features the adorable train, critters, decorations, and gifts from the Holiday Express Stamps. To help make my train feel extra festive, I added peppermint candies to the wheels of the locomotive and train cars using images from the Candy Shoppe Stamps and Baking Spirits Bright Stamps. For the backdrop behind my Christmas train, I taped two of the three 6" borders from the Forest Trees Stencils together and inked up one continuous line of trees with Salty Ocean Distress ink. Above the trees, I added a cloud border using the Slimline Nature Border Dies cut from masking material and inked with Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink. Lastly, I combined several mix-and-match greetings from the Holiday Express stamps to create one long, continuous sentiment to span the length of my 8" wide card.

Roly Poly Penguins Card with Amanda

Hey friends and Happy Tuesday! Amanda here! I hope your week is off to an amazing start! I’m so glad you’re here with me on the Sunny Studio blog today for a little crafty inspiration! The card I’m sharing today is MERRY and BRIGHT—full of festive fun with pink and green pops of color!

To create the frame, I used the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies. On each of the cutouts, I ink-blended some Catherine Pooler inks in Melon Ice, Garden Party, It’s a Girl, and Party Dress. I spritzed the backgrounds with water for a subtle splatter effect, then added some black splatter using watered-down black acrylic paint and a paintbrush.

I placed the frame on a plain white card base and held it in place with magnets on my magnetic craft mat. Using the frame as a guide, I adhered each of the ink-blended rectangles. Next, I added white foam strips to the back of the frame and popped it onto the card front.

My chubby little penguins and their accessories were stamped from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps. After stamping, I colored them with Copic markers and cut them using the coordinating dies.

With some foam squares added to the back, I arranged the penguins onto the card. For the sentiment, I used the “merry & BRIGHT” stamp from the Build-a-Greetings Holiday Stamps, stamping it in crisp black ink. The finishing touch was a sprinkle of Party Confetti across the card for a little extra festive sparkle!
