Panda Party Cards with Bobbi and Cathy

Hello Sunny friends. It’s Bobbi sharing a Panda Party in the forest! Panda bears are known to live in the mountainous, bamboo forests of China and feast on bamboo. Did you know that in a single day, a panda can eat between 20 to 30 pounds of bamboo? After learning this, I decided to surround these cute bears in their favorite habitat, a rocky environment surrounded by bamboo. I'm using the new Panda Party stamp set  and coordinating dies by Sunny Studio Stamps. 

To create this A2-sized card, I used Neenah 80lb cardstock for the card base and card front panel. I blended on green ink using Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness. I used blender brushes to apply green all around the outer edge of the card front panel. Next, I free-handed some simple bamboo trees/plants to the background using Copic Markers in YG99, YG95, YG93, (for the trunks) E44 (branches) and YG67 (leaves).

To create a foreground area for my pandas, I added a grassy border at the bottom of the front panel. This also allowed me to tuck in some rocky surfaces behind the grassy area. I hand cut both the rocks (from two colors of gray) and the tall grasses.

Every party needs some pandas so I added in a number of the bears from the set to the scene. Colorful party hats and pennant banners decorate the party scene in vivid blues, yellows, and oranges. I used YR09, YR68, B05, B04, B02, Y15, Y08, C3 and C1 Copic colors. I had an open space in the middle of the scene and thought the one standing bear should have a balloon in hand so I punched out a 3/4″ circle from red cardstock and added shadowing, highlights and a string using my white Gelly Roll pen, black marker and Copic R29 marker.

This set has some really unique and fun panda-themed sentiments so I stamped a few inside. I also had an extra panda and banner so I added both above the phrases to keep the fun going inside, too!

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a cute and fun birthday card featuring the new Panda Party Stamps!

 

To start this card, I cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" and created a confetti effect by splattering a little watered down Distress inks with a paintbrush. I used Picked Raspberry, Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber and Twisted Citron. I heat embossed the sentiment in the upper right corner and adhered this piece to the top of an A2 card base.

 

Next, I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper 2” x 4 1/4" and adhered it to the bottom of the card front. I then cut 1” x 4 1/4" strips from 3 more of the papers and die-cut the bottom edge of each using one of the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I overlapped and adhered these pieces below the white cardstock. I used the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies again to die-cut a piece of black cardstock, cut it to 4 1/4" long and adhered it across the bottom of the white cardstock.

 

For the present, I cut a rectangle 1” x 1 1/4" from white cardstock and die-cut a bow using the Sweet Treat House Add-on Dies. I used the windowpane portion of the Wonderful Windows Dies for the ribbon, adhered the die-cut piece to the rectangle and trimmed off the excess along the edges. I colored these elements with Copics.

 

To finish, I stamped the images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I used the following stamps and dies:

Holiday Gift Tags with Bobbi and Cathy

Have you hung your stockings by the chimney with care? It’s Bobbi here with two stockings to hang, but these are for hanging on your gifts! Every year we hang stockings on our fireplace and fill them with little items for the twins. Those are the first gifts they open on Christmas day. Sometimes the little gifts are too big for the stocking so these tags will be perfect to use. 

The first stocking is made from coordinated pattern papers from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack. It features a large, stamped Holiday Greetings stamp sentiment, cut out using the coordinating dies. I added the holly and bow from the Santa's Stocking die set and a few peppermint candies using dies from the Gingerbread House die set. I embossed the white 80lb Neenah Solar White cardstock accent pieces – reinforced toe, heel and top stocking band – using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder. How cute is that cable knit design?!

I added red faux stitching on the white accent pieces (so you could see it) and stitched the outer edges using white thread and my sewing machine. Because this stocking is larger, I wanted to avoid having to turn the tag over when on the gift. Instead, I attached the smallest tag from the Stitched Arch Dies to the holly bouquet at the band and stamped a “to/from” on the tag in black. The “to/from” stamps are from the Season’s Greetings Sentiments stamp set. There are several styles to choose from which are really awesome to have for your tags.

For my second stocking, I used many of the same products to create this festive tag. Notice the tab for hanging the stocking at the top. I simply cut a strip from the two-sided pattern paper and attached it with glue. Both stockings have a white die cut backing, allowing the tab to be glued between the stocking die cuts for a clean finish.

The candy canes, holly and berries are part of the Santa's Stockings die set. I added another to/from tag to the candy cane accent. These stockings are adorable and big enough to add names to the band to personalize. Keep the top open and it becomes a festive gift card holder, too!

Hey friends! Cathy here today and with Christmas just days away, I’m sharing some cute and quick-to-make gift tags!

For these tags, I’ve used the Mini Mat & Tag 1 Dies and I started by die-cutting the tag from a medium weight light gray cardstock for a little extra stability. Next, I die-cut the tag again from white cardstock and inked a sky with Speckled Egg Distress ink. I heat embossed a sentiment on each tag using the Lazy Christmas Stamps, Penguin Party Stamps, and Bear Hugs Stamps. I cut the bottom scalloped portion of the tags off and adhered them to the gray tag bases.

 

Next, I die-cut patterned papers from the All is Bright Paper and Joyful Holiday Paper using the thin strip and tag topper dies and adhered them to the tags. For the snowdrift on each tag, I die-cut the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die 3 times from white cardstock, adhered a “sand” portion of the die-cut across the bottom of each tag and trimmed the excess from the sides of the tags.

 

I stamped the polar bears from the Bear Hugs Stamps and the Santa hats from the Reindeer Games Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy cut each image. Those little Santa hats fit so many Sunny Studio critters and look so cute!

 

To finish, I die-cut hole protectors from gray cardstock using a die from the Mini Mat & Tag 4 Dies and tied some sparkly ribbon to each tag. I stamped some holly and berries from the Holiday Greetings Stamps, die-cut them using the coordinating dies and adhered them to the top of each tag. For a little extra bling, I adhered Pure White Jewels over the holes on each tag topper.

Reindeer Games Cards with Tina and Vanessa

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with my first Christmas card for the new release! Although I love card making all year round, snowy holiday cards are my favorite, so fun to add lots of snow or sparkle! Today I am featuring the sweet Reindeer Games stamp and die die set. This set contains all the elements for your cute festive cards. Love the adorable reindeer and fun Santa!

I wanted to create a winter mini slimline card using a sheet of snowy acetate I had in my stash for a while. But there are several ways you can make your own embellished acetate, like for instance with heat embossing snowflakes, stamping with white Stazon ink, or using a stencil and paste.  

The most important part of this card was getting the base structure in place. First, I die cut three rectangles out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. One of these was used to create two snowy hills for my front panel.

My acetate piece was sized down to the same width as the rectangles but for the height I kept it two inches taller. I then scored the acetate the same height as the white base. This created an acetate front piece the same size as the rectangles but with a two-inch flap I could sandwich between the two remaining rectangle pieces.

Before adhering the inside rectangle I ink blended this die cut with Distress Oxides, I used Salvaged Patina and Evergreen Bough. I selected one of the sentiments from Reindeer Games and used my Misti to stamp it on the smallest of the snow slopes. To finish the card structure, I added the two snowy hills to the acetate.

Next, I stamped and die cut the adorable Santa, Reindeer and a few gift packages from the Reindeer Games stamp set. To create the scene, I included the birch trees from Bear Hugs.

All the coloring was done with Copic markers, and since this is a winter card, I added tons of snowflakes with a white gel pen to the images and background panel!! Of course, one of the reindeer had to be Rudolph with the red nose! As embellishment I added a few of the Chrystal Clear Jewels scattered around the sentiment.

Hello to you! Vanessa here with my first Christmas card of the year, using the adorable Reindeer Games set.

I trimmed a panel of patterned paper from the Joyful Holiday paper pad slightly smaller than my card base and adhered it. Now I stamped my images onto white cardstock, always masking the previously stamped image before stamping the next. After I had removed the masks, I colored everything with Copics. 

Then I trimmed the stamped piece into a square, inked the edges with black ink and adhered this to a white rectangle. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and adhered the "selfie" to the card, adding a piece of washi tape to the top.

Spring Greenery Cards with Marine and Anja

Hello crafty friends, Marine here! Today's card is all about customization. I created my own leafy background using Spring Greenery, I used the branch from Outback Critters to make bamboo, and turned bears from Bear Hugs into pandas.

So as always I started off by stamping all my images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and I first worked on the bears from Bear Hugs. To turn them into pandas, I referred to a picture on my phone, and traced some lines using a pencil to divide their bodies into different sections and this way know which part is black: the eyes, ears, arms and legs. And to do this I'm just referring to a picture on my phone. I used my black memento pen, which is an alcohol marker friendly pen, to trace over the pencil lines and then I colored the images to create a baby panda and his mom.

And next I colored the other images: the branches from Outback Critters in green to create bamboo, the mountains from Spring Scenes, the grass, butterflies and small flowers from Bunnyville.

Next I created my leafy background. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" bristol panel, and started by covering it with mowed lawn oxide ink. Next I applied some rustic wilderness oxide ink on the four edges, and then used my mowed lawn blending tool again to achieve a nice blending.

I die cut the Spring Greenery leaves several times out of bristol cardstock, and colored them using rustic wilderness oxide ink again. And next I randomly glued them on my green panel using liquid glue. I added texture and details to this leafy panel: splatters of rustic wilderness oxide ink + water, splatters of black soot oxide ink + water, and splatters of copic opaque white ink + water.

To set my cute panda scene, I cut some additional pieces: two Stitched Oval 2 elements out of a grass pattern paper from the Spring Fling paper pack and out of a blue pattern paper from the Spring Sunburst paper pack, and one Scalloped Oval Mat 1 element out of a yellow cardstock. I layered those pieces on top of each other to create a cute scenery, and then I popped the whole on my leafy background using foam squares.

I stuck all the images, and for my sentiment I cut a pink banner using a die from the Stitched Rectangle die set, I white heat embossed my customized sentiment "For my beary sweet mom" on it, and attached it right below the cute pandas. I attached my panel to a green card base, and as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images and sky using a white gel pen.

And that's it, I love this cute baby panda and his mom, they are so cute! I hope that this card will inspire you to stretch out your supplies and use them in different ways. Hello everyone, Anja here and today's Clean and Simple card features the versatile Spring Greenery Dies. I chose the veined leaves and die cut them from cardstock in rainbow colors.

I let the leaves float across the left side of the white A2 card base and added one of the scripty Lovey Dovey sentiments to the right. It was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Platinum embossing powder.

After cutting it out with the coordinating die, I adhered it with small slivers of foam tape. Finally, I embellished the card with matching glitter enamel dots.
