Santa Claus Lane Card with Tina

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here with a sweet snowy scene in which I combined two amazing holiday sets.

From the Santa Claus Lane stamp and die set, I selected the cute Santa with his sleigh and presents. Next, I added an adorable cutie from the Reindeer Games stamp and die set. I love how well these sets work together to provide even more design ideas. After coloring all the images with my Copics, I put them aside to work on my backdrop.

Starting off with a teal card base, I then cut a panel with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Stripes die from white card stock. For extra texture, I ran this panel through my die cutting  machine with the Cable Knit embossing folder. Folders are such a quick and easy solution to add that extra layer of dimension to your projects, and this one is just perfect for winter cards!

Another way to elevate your project is to include pattern paper. Here I am inlaying the Stitched Semi-Circle in a pale snowflake paper (Subtle Grey Tones). Now I only needed to cut a snowbank from white paper to complete the scene. After assembling all the background elements with liquid glue, I mounted the images with foam tape. Next step was to add loads of snow with a white paint pen!

The sentiment was selected from the Reindeer Games stamp set and stamped on a white banner with a red ink from my stash. A bunch of scattered larger snowflakes (Snowflake Circle Frame die) completed the scene. They each were embellished with a Champagne  Clear Jewel.

Classy Christmas Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and I love to add sparkle and shine to my Christmas cards! For this project, I pulled my golden pigment ink and a golden paint pen to provide lots of holiday cheer! And although I adore cute critters, I also enjoy coloring beautiful flowers like these poinsettias from the Classy Christmas stamp and die set.

I stamped and cut all the flowers, leaves and berries so I could arrange them in the two corners of my card. For this project, I selected pink, red, yellow and blue Copic markers. I added lots of sparkle to the flowers and berries with a fine gold paint pen.

After creating a coral card base, I cut a white panel using the scalloped die from the Frilly Frames Stripes set. I wanted to keep a white border, so I masked the edges with Post-it tape before inking my panel with a stripe stencil and the golden pigment ink. I set this panel aside since this ink takes a while to dry.

I love adding layers to my projects by dry embossing (Dapper Diamonds folder) a piece of white card stock cut with the largest of the Limitless Labels 1. I distressed the edges of this piece with the same gold ink before gluing it to the scalloped piece and the card base.

Bold sentiments are amazing focal points of cards, and that is why I love the Season’s Greetings Stamps and Word Dies so much! I stamped the Merry Christmas in gold, and while that was drying (yes, I needed a bit of patience for this card, but it was well worth the wait!) I played around with the floral arrangement. Finally, I glued all the elements in place and used foam tape to add the large sentiment. For some extra shine, I sprinkled a few Gold Jewels on each side of the card.

Merry Mice Mouse Christmas Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some Christmas cards featuring our Merry Mice Stamps.

For my first card today, I paired the mouse with cheese and mouse in the stocking images from the Merry Mice Stamps with our Fireplace Shaped Dies. This die set comes with all the pieces for stockings, wood logs, and flames, which I often like to use with this set, but this time I chose to simplify my card design to make it easier for mass production. To decorate my fireplace, I used Lawn Fawn's Brick Stencil with Lost Shadow Distress ink. I thought it would be fun to add a festive flair with some Tim Holtz Pine Twine from my stash, so I popped the stockings up with foam tape to compensate for the thickness of the garland. I also stamped the words "Mom," "Dad," and "Sister" on the cuffs of the stockings using the Outback Critter Stamps.

My second card featuring the Merry Mice Stamps utilizes the cheese trees, a snowman mouse, two mice, and their winter gear. For the base of my card, I trimmed a colorful, diagonally striped print from the All is Bright Paper pack and then layered it with a lengthened Rounded Rectangle Mat Die cut from white cardstock. I elongated the rectangle by trimming off the bottom and adding a sentiment pennant strip to fill the gap using a die from the Slimline Pennant Dies set. I also added the colorful strand of hanging lights from the Scenic Route Stamps and a snowy hillside with the Slimline Nature Border Dies. This card utilized many scraps and leftover elements on my desk, so seeing it all fall together so easily was fun. I love it when that happens!

My last card today started with the red gingham background I created when playing around and experimenting with our Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder one afternoon. I wanted to create a card that allowed as much of the background as possible to show through, so I framed my focal point images by stacking the Stitched Circle Small Dies, Scalloped Circle Mat 3 Dies, and Scalloped Circle Mat 1 Dies (listed from top to bottom). For the stars of the show, I grouped the mouse in the mug from the Merry Mice Stamps, the mug from the Merry Mocha Stamps, the peppermints from the Candy Shoppe Stamps, and the candy cane from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamps. Lastly, I heat-embossed my punny greeting from the Merry Mice set onto a green banner cut using the Brilliant Banner 2 Dies.

Here's a look at how I trimmed masking sheets to isolate each row of the Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder and inked them row by row with Candied Apple distress ink using the PinkFresh Studio Blending Brushes. I can't believe we've had these embossing folders for years, but it took me this long to discover this new way to use them. I will use this technique more in the future, as it didn't take too long, but I love the results!
