Quill Cuties Card with Yan

Hello crafty friends!! I’m so excited to be here for the first time and to share my crafty world with you! I’m Yan, and today I’m super happy to show you my latest creation featuring - the Sunny Studio Stamps NEW release, especially the adorable Quill Cuties Stamp Set.

First, I stamped these adorable little images with VersaFine Pinecone Pigment Ink on watercolor paper. Then came my favourite part - adding color! I used watercolors to bring them to life with soft shades and happy vibes. After everything was dry, I gave them a nice clean cut using the Quill Cuties Dies - ready for some serious cuteness on my card! 

For the background, I die-cut a lovely rectangle panel using the Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies from white cardstock and blended a rainbow of soft shades with Distress Oxides - Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Salvaged Patina, Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac.

Then, I added a few sweet little hearts cut form the Basic Mini Shape Die 2 & Basic Mini Shape Die 3 - they give such a lovely pop to the card! Finally, I attached all my colored images using foam tape for a bit fun dimension and a playful 3D look.

Vintage Valentine Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm very excited to share today's post because as of this month I will be back joining the Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team! So from now on every week I will share a new project using their fabulous products! 

For my first card I created a Valentine's card using Vintage Valentine Stamps. I cut 1/4 inch strips of white, pink and Kraft cardstock and adhered them onto a white topfold base card. Cut a smaller Kraft rectangle and added some black paint splatters and some brown spots as if coffee was spilled on to it.

Used Copic Colors:
Pink - R85, R83, R81, R21, R00
White - C5, C3, C1, C00, 0
Paper - E53, E51, E50, 0

Stamped one of the My Heart Stamps in a pink ink and die cut it using the matching My Heart Dies. Die cut the envelopes and the letter of the Vintage Valentine Dies and inked them up using Vintage Photo. Stamped a sentiment on the letter and die cut the hearts using the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2. Added a small inside on the left envelope using Subtle Grey Tones Paper.

Die cut the Post Stamp using the dies out of Gift Card Envelope Dies. Stamped the sentiments on top and behind the post stamp. Stamped the typewriter out of the Vintage Valentine Stamps and colored it up using my Copic markers. Stamped the sentiment onto it and die cut it using the matching Vintage Valentine Dies. Finished the card by adding some clear sequins.

Roly Poly Penguins Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun Christmas card featuring these adorable Roly Poly Penguins and the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp sets. 

I used the smallest die from the Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies set to diecut three squares and the smallest die from the Scalloped Square 1 Small Dies set to diecut one square out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I masked off the scalloped edges stamped the images from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamp set onto the larger scalloped squares with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

Red: R14/24/29/39
White: C00/1/3
Blue: B0000/000/00/02

For the sentiment, I used the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set from the latest release to create the "Merry Christmas" sentiment. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Satin Red ink onto the smaller scalloped square. 

I adhered the scalloped squares onto a piece of light blue cardstock with foam tape. I added some snowflakes diecut from white cardstock using the Woolen Mitten Dies, Basic Mini Shape Dies 2 and the Basic Mini Shape Dies 5. Finally, I adhered the entire panel onto the front of a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Roly Poly Penguins Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun Christmas card featuring these adorable Roly Poly Penguins who are using the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set to wish you a Holly Jolly Christmas.

For the layout, I diecut a piece of white cardstock using the outer die of the Frilly Frames Polka Dot Dies. Next, I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and lightly ink blended it with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink. I trimmed the pink panel down to fit inside white scalloped panel. 

I stamped the images from the Roly Poly Penguins Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Dies to diecut them out. I also used the Basic Mini Shape Dies and Basic Mini Shape Dies 3 to diecut some holly leaves and berries out of white and red cardstock. I colored the elements with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I diecut a banner out of red cardstock using the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies.  The Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set from the latest release was used to create a sentiment. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Watermark ink onto the red banner and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder.

I adhered the sentiment banner and all of the colored images onto the inked panel with foam tape. I added some snowflakes diecut from white cardstock using the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2 and the Basic Mini Shape Dies 5. Finally, I adhered the entire panel onto the front of a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Holiday Hugs & Woolen Mitten Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun mitten shaped card featuring these absolutely adorable bear from the Holiday Hugs set as well as a custom made sentiment using the new Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set. 

I stamped the bear and mug from the Holiday Hugs Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Holiday Hugs Dies to die-cut them out. I made sure to use the special die that allows you to diecut the arms on the bear to allow her to hold the mug. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

Merry Everything and Happy Always! I love this fun sentiment, but it is hard to find a premade clear stamp for it. I used the recently released Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamp set for this task. This fun stamp set has oodles of holiday-themed words and is just perfect for creating custom sentiments. I aligned the words that I needed and stamped onto a piece of white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used a paper trimmer to trim it out. 

Next, I used the Woolen Mitten Dies to die-cut the mitten once out of pink and twice out of white cardstock. I also diecut the cuff out of pink cardstock. The pink mitten was placed into the Cable Knit 6 x 6 Embossing Folder and run through the die-cutting machine. This created a beautiful, deep-knit impression on the mitten. I adhered the pink to one of the white mittens. Foam tape was used to adhere the cuff to the pink mitten.

In order to create a hinge for the card, I used a score board to score a line along the top 0.5" of the second white mitten. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Inside Greetings Seasons Stamp set onto this white mitten with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used a strong double-sided tape to adhere the two white mittens to each other along the previously scored 0.5" space along the top of the mitten.

The colored images and the sentiment were adhered to the card front with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I finished the card with a few white snowflakes die-cut using the Basic Mini Shape 2 and Basic Mini Shape 5 Dies.
