My Otter Half Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some otter-themed cards for summer using our My Otter Half Stamps.

For my first card, I stamped and masked off the kelp and underwater plants from our Ocean View Stamps, Best Fishes Stamps, and Fintastic Friends Stamps so they were all on a single layer along the bottom of my card. I used the large clear stamp in my positioning tool to mirror the rock and plant image from the Ocean View stamps so that the tall portions of the plant could be on the outer edges for both sides of my card. I then layered a piece of aqua colored vellum which I die-cut along the top using our Slimline Nature Border Dies. I happened to have this vellum in my stash, but I also found some colorful assortments on Amazon HERE, HERE, and HERE.

The two adorable otters from our My Otter Half Stamps take center stage, with half of their bodies under the water and half above. I didn't want to mess with spray adhesive, so I used my sewing machine to stitch the vellum in place. Sadly, my machine has issues, so don't look too closely. I inked up some clouds to match the turquoise water using Peacock Feathers distress ink and our Fluffy Cloud Border Dies cut from masking material. I completed my card by stamping one of the punny sentiments from the set on a speech bubble from our Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies and adding three tiny hearts from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies.

For my second card, I started my scene by layering the mountains and trees from our Spring Scenes Stamps along the top of my card and then tucked in a grassy border using our Mini Grass Border Dies. For my lake, I inked up my cardstock panel with Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, and Prize Ribbon Distress Inks before drawing loose ripples with my B16 Copic Marker. For my family of otters from the My Otter Half Stamps, I carefully cut the two snuggling otter apart so that I could tuck them around the mama otter holding the baby otter to look like a family of four. I then stamped the punny phrase "We Need Each Otter" onto our Brilliant Banner 2 Dies which I die-cut from a green print from the Classic Sunburst Paper pack.

Designer's Choice Cards with Gladys and Alma

Hi friends, this is Gladys! It has been super hot here and for me sunflowers gives me summer vibes. For my card today I used the Watering Can stamp set and combined it with the Sunflower Fields layering stamps.

I started by die cutting a light blue cardstock measured 4" x 5.25". I used Pinkfresh Studio inks to add color and depth. The colors I used were summer shower, seaside, and storm. To add interest I splattered some Gansai Tambi watercolors using a small paint brush. 

Next I stamped the sunflowers and watering can using more Pinkfresh Studio inks:
Sunflowers: Lemon Whip, Sunshine, Mustard, Marigold, Apricot, Clementine
Leaves: Mint, Meadow, Emerald City
Watering can: Seaside, Storm

I adhered all the elements on a Frilly Frame Lattice frame, cut from white cardstock. To complete my card, I used the Hello Word die cut multiple times and stacked together for dimension.

Hello, this is Alma and today I'm showing you two shaker tags that would simply enhance any summer gift.

First I punched my tag base with the Scalloped Circle Mat I Dies and coloured it with the Distress Oxide Inks "Moved Lawn", "Peacock Feathers" and "Mermaid Lagoon" as well as "Blueprint Sketch". For special water  effects I sprinkled the backgrounds with water and set highlights with the white gel pen.

Then I cut out the frames of the Scalloped Circle Mat I Dies from white cardstock. Therefore

I used the Stitched Circle Large Dies. To make a shaker tag out of it I cut out the frames 6 times each. I glued five of these frames to the background and filled in the sequins. I mixed the Peridot Green Jewels with the Blue Topaz Jewels and the Iridescent Jewels. Then I stuck the foil on and fixed the last frame on it.

Now I stamped and coloured the cute otters from the My Otter Half Stamps Set and cut them out with the My Otter Half Dies. I glued the otters on top and finally cut the text from the My Otter Half Dies in turquoise and white and glued them together to get some depth.

Heart Bouquet Cards with Anja and Marine

Hello everyone, Anja here with you today. Haven't created a fun one layer card for ages, so I combined the new Heart Bouquet Stamps with the Bear Hugs set.

First, I started off with a top folding A2 card base made from white heavyweight cardstock. I stamped the polar bear in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a white cardstock panel and also created a mask for him. Next, I stamped the heart ballons and ice block. I created some masks for these images as well to cover them while I work on my background.

I masked off the bottom third, to blend the Distress Oxide Inks Dusty Concord, Milled Lavender, Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose together for the sky. I splattered on some ink with a small paint brush. After it was dry, I covered the background and applied Salvaged Patina ink for the water. I also stamped some waves which are included in the My Otter Half set.

It's always a magical moment when you peel off the masks. Now, I colored the images with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it in white. Finally, I cut out my scene with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card base.

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm thrilled to be back with this new edge to edge mini slimline shaker card featuring the lovely Heart Bouquet. I've created a hot air balloon using Balloon Rides, and also picked the bunny from that stamp set to create a cute bunny couple.

To begin, I stamped the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies and then I colored everything using my alcohol markers. I stamped the balloon bouquet three times to get a big balloon bouquet, and I went with traditional valentine colors: red, pink and white.

Next I created the background. I cut a 5-3/4 x 2-3/4 inches bristol panel that I covered with spun sugar distress ink. I used a cloud stencil along with worn lipstick distress ink to create a pretty pink cloudy sky. And I also added some texture to that cloudy sky: water droplets + a mix of worn lipstick and water + a mix of copic opaque white ink and water.

I took a plastic packaging from my stash and cut the four edges off to get two plastic sheets. I kept one of those, and added double sided tape on the four edges. I placed my cloudy panel right in the center of that plastic sheet and cut the four corners off. I attached the bottom tab at the back of the panel and did the same thing with the long sides. Through the last open side, I poured some heart droplets and tiny heart confetti inside the pocket. And then I attached the last tab at the back of the panel to finally close it.

I cut the word "Soar" out of red cardstock and out of white cardstock using the Chloe Alphabet die set. I stuck the white letters at the back of the red ones to create an outline. I also white heat embossed the phrase "You make my heart" from Balloon Rides on a light pink cardstock. And I cut a 6 x 3 inches white card base.

I attached the shaker panel on the card base, and then stuck the letters at the bottom and the small banner at the top using liquid glue. I added white dots and details on the images, attached them on the pocket using glue dots, and finally I applied a coat of glossy accents on each letter.

And that's it, we have a super cute, super shiny and super romantic shaker card that I think would also look fantastic with blue shades or even rainbow colors.
