Pathway Home Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this autumn shaker card with a vintage feel. 

I started by stamping the Pathaway Home stamp onto white cardstock using brown ink. I then colored the stamped image with a brown pencil. This gives the background a beautiful vintage, almost sepia-like appearance, which is perfect for the autumn theme I had in mind.

Next, I stamped the adorable squirrels, the little cart and the pumpkins that are included with the Pathaway Home stamp set and die-cut all the images using the coordinating dies. I also die-cut a mailbox and some envelopes from the Snail Mail stamp set. For all the little images, I used my Ohuhu markers, sticking to warm orange and brown tones.

For the frame, I chose a piece of orange polka-dot paper from the Critter Country Paper. I die-cut the frame using the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies together with the Stitched Square dies.

Time to make the shaker! I first adhered one of the little pumpkins to the scene in front of the house. Then I attached acetate to the back of the orange frame. I added some fun autumn-themed shaker material and secured everything together to create the shaker element.

Once the shaker was finished, I arranged and adhered the adorable critters onto the card. Finally, I added the “Greetings” sentiment from the Big Bunny stamp set. I stamped it in orange to match the rest of the card and to finish off the warm autumn color palette.

Botanical Backdrop Die Focused Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a shaker card featuring the Botanical Backdrop die.

I started by die cutting the Botanical Backdrop several times: one in pink cardstock, one in green cardstock, and five layers in white cardstock. I added some extra depth to the pink and green layers by blending a little bit of ink onto the tips of the leaves.

To create the shaker window, I glued the five white die cuts together to build up enough height for the shaker filling. Underneath this layer, I added the green leaves by cutting them loose from the backdrop frame and placing them under the white layers.

For the background of the shaker, I used a light pink cardstock panel and blended the edges with pink ink to create a soft background. I stamped the sentiment from the Snail Mail stamp set in the same pink ink, so everything matched perfectly.

Then I attached the white and green layered backdrop onto the background, added the shaker filling, sealed it with acetate. anI placed the pink Botanical Backdrop layer on top.

Next, I stamped the adorable penguins from the Passionate Penguins stamp set, together with the mailbox, envelopes, and little snail from the Snail Mail stamp set. I colored all the images with my Ohuhu markers and placed them on top of the pink backdrop to create this sweet little scene.

As a final touch, I added some white highlights with a gel pen and glued the shaker panel onto a white cardstock base.

Sweet As Can Bee Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Sweet As Can Bee.

Cut a white topfold base card, added a piece of pattern paper out of the Gingham Pastels Paper. Die cut a yellow rectangle using the outer die out of Frilly Frames Hexagon. Cut a watercolor rectangle matching the inside and ink blended the background using Cracked Pistashio and Peacock Feathers. Splattered some water before assembling.

Die cut a grass border and ink blended it using Mowed Lawn en Rustic Wilderness. Cut a "sand border" and ink blended it using Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso. Splattered some water and adhered to the base. Heat set the sentiment on some yellow cardstock and die cut it using the Brilliant Banner 1 dies.

Stamped all the images out of Sweet As Can Bee and Snail Mail, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Sweet As Can Bee dies and Snail Mail dies. Added some white gel pen details to finish off the card.

Guest Designer Spotlight: All Occasion Cards with Kavya

Hi folks, Kavya from Handmade By Kavya with some fun inspiration for the latest release! The new release is fueled with fun adorable cuties perfect for any occasion. Since it's valentine's day, I am going to show you how to make three cards that could be perfect for any occasion including today. How perfect is that? I think every card stash needs cards that are versatile! 

For my first card, we will be highlighting the typewriter from Vintage Valentines stamp set. I started off by stamping images from Vintage Valentines and Garden Fairy. For the background, I started off by die cutting Frilly Frames Quatrefoil using navy blue cardstock.

For the background, I took a lighter blue cardstock and ink blended the top using navy blue dye ink. For the table, I used pattern paper from All is Bright paper pack. Adhere all the images as shown in the picture below. Add a few details using white gel pen and you are done! 

For my next card, I am making a cute snail mail themed card! I started off by stamping and coloring a bunch of images from Vintage Valentines, Garden Critters and Snail Mail. Then, I created my oval base using Stitched Oval and Scalloped Oval Mat 3 dies. 

I then ink bended the top of the stitched oval die using pale pink dye ink. For the background, I used pattern paper from Critter Country paper pack. Adhere all the images, add a few details using a white gel pen and you are done! 

My final card is super simple to make but I think it's absolutely stunning! I started off by preparing my base using white cardstock and Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones paper pack. 

Then, I die cut a bunch of speech bubbles using Speech Bubbles Extras dies. Then, I added a 'hi' using Loopy Letters dies. Added a few details like hearts using white gel pen and I was done!
