Afternoon Tea Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am so excited to share a sweet birthday card showcasing the new Afternoon Tea set from the latest Summer Release! This beautiful set comes with a gorgeous “Happy Mother’s Day” stamp and coordinating die but the set can be used for so many different occasions. Today I have paired the Afternoon Tea set with some adorable bunnies from the Bunnyville and Tulip Path Background sets to create a birthday card. So let's get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Afternoon Tea Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Bunnyville, Tulip Path Background, Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies)

I stamped the images from the Afternoon Tea Stamps and some bunny images from the Bunnyville Stamps and Tulip Path Background Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Afternoon Tea DiesBunnyville Dies and the Tulip Path Background Dies to diecut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bunnies: E50/51/53/33, R000/20
Teapot: RV000/10/21/13, B0000
Purple cup: V000/01/12/04
Blue cup: B0000/000/00 BG02
Yellow cup: Y000/11 YR31 Y15
Pink saucer: RV10/21
Spoon: C0/1/3

For the background, I used the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies to diecut a panel out of a white cardstock. I stamped the “Have a” and “birthday” sentiments from the Silly Sloths Stamps set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the “tea-rrific” sentiment from the Afternoon Tea Stamps set with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink directly onto the panel. A piece of craft foam was adhered to the back of the panel before it was adhered to a piece of pink cardstock.

In order to create a more realistic look, I used a sharp craft knife to cut a slit into the teacup images so that I was able to slip the bunnies and stacked cup inside. I adhered the colored images to the panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to an A2 white card base (4.25" x 5.5”). The card was finished with a few Majestic Clear Confetti.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Be sure to visit the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop to check out the new Summer Release and for more info and ideas. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Have a wonderful and crafty day!

The Graduate Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and for all the grads in your life, we got you covered with the cute The Graduate stamp and die set!

Sunny Studio Stamps: The Graduate & Quill Cuties Graduation Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Dotted Diamond Landscape Dies, Frilly Frames Polka-Dot Dies, Scalloped Square Tag Dies)

Let’s start with our card base which is made from a bright blue paper from my stash. My next layer is a white piece cut with the outer die from the Frilly Frames Polka-Dots. As extra detail, I embossed this panel with the Dotted Diamond Landscape die. I love adding these small steps which truly elevate a card!

My next product, the Scalloped Square Tag dies will become one of my favourites, I just got it and I already think it’s so cute and versatile! It’s the perfect size to frame smaller scenes! For this piece, I used a beautiful blue paper from Gingham Pastels.

My graduate is just the sweetest hedgehog from Quill Cuties, he looks adorable with his little cap and diploma (The Graduate). To complete the scene, I added a pile of books (Grad Cat) for him to sit on. All the coloring was done with my Copics and I added sparkly gold details with a gel pen.

I used one of the sentiments from The Graduate set and I love that it comes with a matching die! (Versafine Onyx Black ink). To embellish my square tag, I added a little blue bow (Wicker Basket). Of course, I needed some bling too, this time I went with the Champagne Clear Jewels.

I hope to see all your sweet grad cards with this sweet set! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Bundle of Joy Cards with Marieke

Hello, it’s Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today, I hope to inspire you with a card set that I made using the Bundle of Joy.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Bundle of Joy Baby Cards by Marieke Slaats (featuring Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace Dies)

When it comes to baby cards, I love creating pairs, so I decided to make a pink-and-blue version. So, for this card, I cut two white topfold base cards. For the front of both cards, I used a piece of pattern paper out of the Gingham Pastels Paper. Die cut two panels using the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies

Cut a blue and pink rectangle. Two white rectangles slightly smaller. Masked off the bottom and ink-blended both with Tumbled Glass and Spun Sugar Distress ink. Using a mask and the same ink colors, I added the hearts. For some extra bling, I added a hot foil "baby sentiment" from a Dutch brand called Carlijn Design.

Copic Colors Used:
Pink - R85, R83, R81
White - C5, C3, C1, C00, 0
Black - N6, N4, N2
Orange - YR27, YR23, YR21
Light Blue - B02, B00, B000, 0
Blue - B24, B23, B21

Stamped the images with the Bundle of Joy Stamps, colored them with my Copic markers, and cut them with the matching Bundle of Joy Dies. Stamped the welcome sentiment directly onto the card. The boy and girl sentiments came from the Baby Elephant StampsI stamped on the stork image.

Have a wonderful day!
