Doggone Birthday Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today’s card features the very sweat Doggone Birthday stamp and die set. It’s a smaller set yet has all the elements you need to create festive projects!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Doggone Birthday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Balloon Alphabet Dies, Limitless Labels Dies, Frilly Frame Dies)

I really wanted to show off this cute little party dog by creating several layers, so after I prepared my white card base, I browsed through my paper stash to find a fun combo. To start, I die cut a panel from a bright green striped paper (Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones) with the outer die from Frilly Frames Chevron.

For extra layering I used two sizes of the Limitless Labels 1 dies, cutting the largest from a grey sheet (Subtle Grey Tones) and the smaller from white card stock. To give this latter piece added interest I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Moroccan Circles embossing folder. Both the grey paper as the embossing brings so much extra detail to this simple card design!

After gluing all these panels to the white card base, I stamped and die cut my images. As I mentioned before, this set can be matched with lots of other sets but also works great on its own as I show in this project. I love the little party hat and the bones with bows! So cute!
All the coloring was done with my Copic markers.

My sentiment consists of two parts. First portion is a stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ (Punny Fruit Greetings). I couldn’t stamp onto the embossed panel, so I cut another smaller piece with the Limitless Labels 1 dies from white card stock and stamped onto this paper in Versafine Onyx Black ink. Next, I glued this to the bottom part of the embossed panel.

I spelled the word ‘YAY’ in two colors with letters of the Balloon Alphabet stamp and die set. After securing some green thread to the back of the letters, I mounted them to the white panel with foam tape. I made sure to hold the ends of the thread in place with a piece of tape, adhering them to the card base where I could hide them by putting the adorable doggie in place. Lastly, I added the two bones as presents and a few Iridescent Jewels

Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Majestic Meadow Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today! I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this adorable Snow White inspired card showcasing the Majestic Meadow in the background, and a mix & match of images to create a lovely fairytale themed scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Majestic Meadow Card by Marine Simon (featuring Enchanted, Little Birdie, Frilly Frame Dies)

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and Graph'it brush markers. As always, here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Majestic Meadow - background, birds, clouds • Enchanted - princess, castle • Little Birdie - birdhouse, birds • Garden Critter - grass • Balloon Rides - small trees • Tulip Path Background - butterflies.

Next I cut several panels to build the card base. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Gingham Jewel Tones brown panel, and attached that panel to a card base using liquid glue. I cut a scalloped panel out of white cardstock using the main Frilly Frames Hexagon die, and stuck it to the gingham panel using 1mm foam tape. I cut a 4,75 x 3,5 inches panel out of a Summer Splash cloudy paper, mixed some copic opaque white with water and used a slim brush to add splatters to my panel, did the same with salty ocean oxide ink, and once my cloudy panel was dry, I attached it to the scalloped panel using liquid glue.

I added highlights and details to the images with a white gel pen, and then attached them all to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Hoping your day is magical" from Garden Fairy on dark brown cardstock and cut it into a fishtail banner that I stuck below the scene using foam squares again. And to totally finish my card, I added white blizzard nuvo to the butterflies wings to bring even more cuteness and magic to the scene.

And that's it! I hope that you like this super sweet card, I like to mix new images with older ones, it's always a fun exercise! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Balloon Numbers Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and as soon as I saw the Balloon Numbers stamp and die set, I knew I wanted to make a fairytale card for a sweet little girl that will be celebrating her third birthday this month! She loves all kinds of animals and that became the theme of this project.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Balloon Numbers Focused Birthday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Stitched Oval 2 Dies, Garden Fairy, Garden Critters, Make A Wish, A Bird's Life)

To start, I die cut a panel from white card stock with the outer die from the Frilly Frames Stripes die. I created a ‘wood’ look by dry embossing this piece with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. Next, I turned this panel into a frame by using the second largest die from Stitched Ovals 2. I kept the inside oval for another project and selected a teal striped background from the Striped Silly pack. I love how this instantly gives you a bold backdrop.

Then it was time to browse through my stamps, selecting all the elements I wanted for my birthday scene. I went with a sweet fairy (Garden Fairy), several cute Garden Critters, two adorable birds with branch (A Bird’s Life), a darling duck (Puddle Jumpers), and the all-important cake (Make A Wish) and number 3 from the Balloon Numbers stamp and die set!

All the coloring was done with my trusty Copic markers and white gel pen details made the images pop even more.

To assemble the card, I glued the tree to the back of the wooden frame before adhering the striped panel. Next, I placed the cake at the bottom of the frame and added critters to the left and right. The sweet fairy is flying through the sky, holding the balloon number with a little piece of pink thread from my sewing box. Lastly, I positioned the two birdies near the branch. This whole scene was glued to a white card base. No need for a sentiment since ‘the birthday party with the pink 3’ was our centerpiece! Adding a few Champagne clear Jewels finishes this sweet project.

I can’t wait to see all these balloon numbers featured in your projects! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Balloon Alphabet Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hi there! Leanne here today. This post is a little different from my usual card share posts. I wanted to talk about my stamping process when it comes to alphabet stamps. For today's post, I'm focusing on the new Balloon Alphabet stamps and coordinating dies but the processing I'm sharing will work for any alphabet stamps.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Balloon Alphabet Focused Birthday Card by Leanne West (featuring Party Pets, Frilly Frame Dies)

Above is a simple card I made featuring some of these fun balloon letters. All Sunny Studio products used to create this card are listed below:

Balloon Alphabet stamp set & coordinating dies - for balloon letters & strings

Party Pets stamp set & coordinating dies - for dog image

Balloon Number stamp set - for the wishes word stamp

Frilly Frames Hexagon die - for the scalloped edge frame

When I get a new alphabet stamp set and the coordinating dies, I like to stamp and die cut all the letters in many different colors so I have them ready to use. Keep reading for my take on the fastest and most efficient way to do this.

I like to keep the coordinating dies set together (like how it comes from the manufacturer). Then I will die cut a bunch of blanks from white card stock. I save one of the panels I have die cut the letters from to use in my Misti as a template. I position each individual letter stamp in it's spot on the template. I close the Misti door to pick up all the stamps and leave the template in place. Next I fill each spot with a blank die cut letter. I can then ink up the whole alphabet at once to stamp the images on the blanks. I will do this many times in different ink colors.

In a reasonable amount of time, the result is loads of colorful die cut letters ready to use on paper crafting projects. Just think of all the customized birthday cards you can make with these. I have a feeling you will be seeing these letters show up on more of my future card shares in the coming weeks, wink, wink!
