Country Carnival Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and today we are having fun with the Country Carnival stamp and die set! While you can create amazing scenes with multiple images, I decided to focus on the adorable carousel for this project.

To create that centrepiece, I relied on the technique of tone on tone layering. In this case starting with a white card base and adding a white panel created with the outer die from Frilly Frames Chevron set which got embossed by using the Dotted Diamond Portait die. 

Next, I cut another piece from white card stock with the frame die from Mini Mat & Tag 4. I glued the two white panels to the card base with liquid glue before creating a tag with the same set and blue papers from Gingham Pastels. This will be the perfect backdrop for my carousel image. I also stamped two sweet little bears from Country Carnival and used Copics for the coloring. 

My sentiment was taken from the same stamp set and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a small white banner. After adhering my blue tag to the white panels, I used foam tape to add all the images and sentiment strip. A few Champagne Clear Jewels were all the bling this sweet card needed.

Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Build-A-Bowl and fruit dies.

For my card I cut a top fold white base card. Cut the front of the card using the inner piece of the Frilly Frames Hexagon dies to create a see thru card. Ink Blending a panel using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. Splattered some water and green ink and glued the panel on the inside of the card.

Die cut the strawberries out of the Strawberry Patch Dies using green, pink, yellow, black and white cardstock. Ink Blended the strawberries using Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. Glued the strawberries together. For the front panel I Inked up the leaves using Forest Moss before glueing them to the front of the card.

Die cut the Build-A-Bowl Dies out of white cardstock and glued the strawberries on the back before glueing them to the card. Die cut the word sweet using the Sydney Alphabet dies and white cardstock. Glued it on the inside before stamping birthday out of the Birthday Cat Stamp.

Used Copic Colors:
Black - T6, T4, T2
Yellow - Y38, Y35, Y32
Wings - B02, B00, B000, 0

Heat set the other sentiment from the same Birthday Cat Stamp on some black cardstock and trimmed it down to a small banner. Stamped the bees out of Sweet As Can Bee stamp, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Sweet As Can Bee dies. Added them to the front of the card and finished off using some wink of stella clear glitter on to the wings.

Special Day Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a project that I made using the Special Day.

Cut a white topfold base card, added a piece of the Gingham Pastels paper on the front of the card. Cut a white scalloped rectangle using the Frilly Frames Hexagon dies. Cut a watercolor panel, inked it up using Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac. Splattered some water and cut it using the Quilted Hearts Landscape die. 

Cut a piece of wood grain kraft cardstock for the "floor" and added a white 1/4 inch strip to create a baseboard. Heat set the sentiment out of Monkey Business on a piece of purple cardstock and cut it using the Brilliant Banner 1 die. Added some white gel pen details to finish the banner of.

Green - YG67, YG63, YG03
Purple - BV17, BV04, BV13, BV02

Cut the penguins out of Wedded Bliss and Passionate Penguins. Colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them with the Wedded Bliss die and my scissors. Cut the cake out of Special Day, colored it up and cut it using the Special Day dies. Added some gold touches to the cake and crown. Finished the card by adding different sizes of clear sequins.

Potted Rose & Pink Peonies Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and I always like to have several flower cards in my stash because they can be given for so many occasions. The gorgeous Potted Rose stamps and dies are set up for layering but today I wanted to show you another way to use these products.

But can we first take a look at the background! I am a big fan of the Frilly Frame dies and this one is new in my stash. It is called Frilly Frames Quatrefoil and it is stunning! Sometimes, ideas pop up on the spot and that is what happened when I ran this die through the machine. Almost all the inside pieces were still in place, and that was when I decided to keep this pretty design as an inlay panel. I created a white card base, the same size as the frame piece and glued both together with liquid glue. This is easy by turning around the intricate panel and adding a drop of glue to each individual part. 

To change up the design, I stamped two pots instead of one. I used the outline stamp and inked both pieces with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide. I used a small blending brush so staying inside the stamped lines was no issue. To add depth I layered a speckled design with the same ink and a stencil from my stash. This brings instant interest and depth to the pots. 

My flowers were selected from the Pink Peonies set, they were inspired by the Peonies in our garden. I opted for a blue and pink color combo with my Copics. The centres of the flowers were filled with a gold glitter gel pen. I love that the pot die makes it easy to slide in the flowers and leaves. One flower arrangement was glued directly to the background, while the second was popped up with foam tape for dimension. 

I stamped a sweet sentiment from Inside Greetings Friends on a white banner and mounted it to the left side of the card. A few Pink Spinel Jewels were the perfect little bling for this flower scene. I am looking forward to seeing your flower arrangements!

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today, I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Jungle Vines Dies.

 

For my card, I decided to create a Mother's Day card. So I cut a white top-fold card base and adhered a Kraft base rectangle onto it. Die-cut the Frilly Frames Hexagon outer die from white cardstock, and cut a watercolor rectangle slightly smaller. I ink-blended the background using Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron. I added the hearts using a stencil and the same ink colors.

 

Out of Kraft and two different green colors, I cut the Jungle Vines Dies. I ink-blended the branch and leaves using Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Rustic Wilderness Distress inks. I then adhered them together and placed them on the top and bottom of the card. I heat-embossed the sentiments from the Afternoon Tea Stamps and Love Monkey Stamps. I cut the sentiments by hand and paired the Mother's Day greeting with the matching Afternoon Tea Dies.

Finally, I stamped the images of Love Monkey, Fabulous Flamingo, and Monkey Business Stamps. I colored them with my Copic markers, cut them by hand, and used the matching Monkey Business Dies.
