Build-A-Bowl Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with you today sharing a fun CAS mixed media card featuring the new Build-A-Bowl dies. I am sure you might have seen the wonderful cards by Mendi last week, if not then, do check the new release out.

I used various dies from the new release. To start, I sponged peacock feathers and salty ocean to a piece of cardstock. Die-cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. Next, die-cut the center using the Frilly Frames Herringbone die. I used this as a stencil and applied crackle embossing paste to the panel and let it dry.

Meanwhile I die-cut various elements from the dies and added distress oxide inks to add color to them.

Assemble everything together. Stamp the sentiment from the Beach Bus stamp set. To finish, add some sparkle gems to the flower center.

Strawberry Patch Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I'm excited to be back on the blog with a fresh and fun card featuring the new Strawberry Patch Dies.

I started this A2 card by cutting a black cardstock panel 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I then cut a piece of white cardstock 3 1/4" x 4 1/4", die-cut it using the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Die and adhered it to the top of the black cardstock panel.

Next, I die-cut a 4 1/4" long piece of black cardstock using the ribbon die from the Ribbon & Lace Borders Dies and adhered it across the bottom of the white cardstock. The red paper from the Gingham Pastels Paper reminds me of a picnic tablecloth so I cut a piece 2" x 4 1/4" and then die-cut the bottom of it using a Fishtail Banner II die. I heat embossed sentiments from the Punny Fruit Greetings Stamps with black embossing powder and adhered the paper to the card front just below the stitched line of the black ribbon piece.

To finish, I die-cut the strawberries, flowers and leaves from white cardstock using the Strawberry Patch Dies and a basket using the Wicker Basket Dies. I colored the strawberries, flowers and basket with Copics and inked the leaves with Rustic Wilderness Distress ink applying light pressure to the ends of the leaves and heavier pressure towards the stems.

Designer's Choice: Holiday Hugs Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am mixing and matching several sets for this designer’s choice blog post. The darling bear from Holiday Hugs is perfect for all your winter cards but I wanted to see how I could make him the focal point of a Spring birthday card!

To achieve this look, I had to mask off his scarf with some Post-it tape while I was stamping. It went really well and next I used the matching dies to cut him out. I love the special die for the arms! 

Whilst browsing through my stash I selected a few birthday related stamps like the big cake (Make A Wish), the gift (Holiday Hugs), the bouquet (Big Bunny) and the letters (Bighearted Bears).All these items were colored with alcohol markers in fun Spring colors.

My card base is an A2 size and made from white heavy weight card stock. For the pink gingham frame I used a Joyful Holiday paper, which was cut with the outer of the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace dies and the largest of the Stitched Arched Dies.

Since the coloring was so bright, I opted for a white backdrop. The upper part is dry embossed with the Quilted Hearts folder, whilst the lower part was run through the Lots Of Dots folder (but that is difficult to see in the pictures). I added foam tape to the gingham frame and lower part of the background and adhered all the elements to my card base. Next, I added the cute bear and all his birthday accessories!

I love how the Brilliant Banner 2 Die perfectly fits on top of the arched frame. The combined sentiment was selected from the Happy Thoughts set and stamped in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. For some bling, I adhered a few Crystal Clear Jewels which are one of my favorites.

Designer's Choice: Captivating Cameliias Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with a floral card as this week is designer's choice as the theme. I decided to use various products and create this card.

To start, I took a white cardbase. Sponged some picked raspberry and wilted violet distress ink towards the right. I then die-cut a piece of white card with Frilly Frame Herringbone die. I then die-cut another piece using Fancy Frames Rectangle die and adhere the inside frame to the white herringbone piece. Adhere this to the cardbase using 3d foam.

Stamp the sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings, die-cut using the coordinating dies. Stamp the layering florals using the Captivating Camellias stamp set and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Adhere to the card. Die-cut the leaves from white card using the Spring Greenery dies. Sponge them with cracked pistachio and peacock feathers distress inks. Adhere to the card. To finish, I stamped and embossed butterflies from the Watering Can stamps onto vellum using white embossing powder, die-cut using the coordinating dies and adhere to the card.

Designer's Choice: Garden Critters Card with Leanne

Hi everyone! Leanne here and I'm sharing a bee theme thank you card complete with custom made bee hive. I just love the little bees in the Garden Critters stamp set. I thought they needed a bee hive to call home. 

The hive was very easy to make. I used one the mid sized Stitched Oval dies to cut out an oval from yellow card stock. I then cut the oval in half. I used the smallest oval in the set to cut out an opening and backed it with dark brown card stock. To give the hive some details lines I simply used tape to mask off sections and lightly blended on some dark yellow ink. I stamped the "thanks a buzzilion" sentiment from Garden Critters right onto the hive. 

Copic colors used: RV14, RV29, R12, R32, Y32, Y35, Y38, YG61, YG63, BG11, T2, T4, T6

I Copic colored three bees and tulips planters. I die cut with the coordinating Garden Critters dies. I added the hive, bees, and tulips with thin foam squares to a Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace panel. I then adhered the eyelet lace panel to a hot pink A2 size card base. Lastly I embellished the scene with a few sequins.

Puddle Jumpers Card with Rachel

Hello friends! It's Rachel here with a card featuring the adorable Puddle Jumpers Stamp Set. I had a lot of fun playing with this set because it reminds me of my childhood and having fun jumping in all of the puddles after it rained. 

I kept my card simple and used a few images in the center of my card as my focal point. All of my images were stamped onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then used Copic Sketch Markers to color them and the coordinating Puddle Jumpers Die Set to cut them out. I set my images aside and then layered my vertical A2 sized base with a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of teal patterned paper from the Classic Sunburst Paper Pad. I then die cut a scalloped background from white card stock using the outer die from the gorgeous Frilly Frames Lattice Die Set.

Next, I lightly blended a small area in the top center of my card with some Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Inks. Lastly, I stamped my sentiment in the lower right corner and adhered my images with some dimensional tape.

Beautiful Bluebells Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be back on the blog with this elegant and pretty shaker card showcasing the Beautiful Bluebells that I stamped using pinks and reds instead of the traditional blues and purples.

I started off by creating my shaker background, and first cut a Frilly Frame Lattice panel out of white woodgrain cardstock. I also cut a 4,75 x 3,5 inches acetate panel that I attached at the back of my lattice panel using double sided tape, and added foam strips directly on the four edges of the acetate panel. I poured a bunch of 3mm clear sequins on the acetate, and then attached a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light pink panel to the foam strips to close my shaker. And I attached my panel to a matching card base.

For my greeting, I first cut a Scalloped Oval Mat 1 red panel that I stuck in the middle of my Frilly Frame Lattice panel using 2mm foam squares. Next I gold heat embossed my sentiment from Inside Greetings Congrats on a Stitched Oval 2 white panel that I attached on top of the red scalloped oval panel using 1mm foam squares.

Next I stamped a bunch of Beautiful Bluebells on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Altenew crisp dye inks: frosty pink + coral berry + ruby red + warm sunshine for the flowers, and frayed leaf + forest glades. I used the matching dies to cut them all, and then attached everything above and below the greeting using foam squares and liquid glue. I finished my card by adding clear droplets here and there.

And that's it! I love that depending on the greeting, you can turn this card into totally different things: wedding, mother's day, spring, etc. I hope you like it. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time.

Big Bunny Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be back on the blog with this lovely Easter card featuring the adorable Big Bunny and cute chickie friends. Another colorful card just as I like them to be!

I started off by stamping all my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the matching dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers. And as very often, I mixed and matched images from different sets:

• Big Bunny for the bunny, Easter basket, bow

• Chickie Baby for the chicks, bunny ears, eggs

• Chubby Bunny for the chocolate bunnies, flowers, banner, egg

• Bunnyville for a flower

For my background, I cut a few pieces, starting with a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Spring Fever floral panel that I attached on a white card base. Next I cut a light brown woodgrain scalloped rectangle using the Frilly Frames Hexagon main die, and cut an opening out of it using the second Stitched Rectangle die in order to create a frame.

I also cut a grass border out of a Spring Fever green polka dot paper using a Picket Fence Border die, attached that grass border at the back of my frame at the very bottom using 1mm foam squares, and then stuck my whole frame on the card base using 2mm foam squares. I attached everything on the card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.
