Bighearted Bears Love-Themed Valentine's Day Cards with Mendi

Hello there! This is Mendi popping in to share some love-themed Valentine's Day cards featuring our adorable Bighearted Bears Stamps.

For my first card showcasing the Bighearted Bears Stamps, I lined up four of the panda bears holding Valentines and gifts. As a backdrop, I inked up a cardstock panel using the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils with Candied Apple Distress ink. I layered that with an elongated Rounded Rectangle Mat Die, which I ran through my die-cutting machine twice so that I could have it bleed off the top of my card. I cut our Stitched Heart 2 Dies from masking material to use as a stencil to ink a heart onto my background with Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple Distress ink. I heat-embossed the word "love" onto the heart's center using the Love & Light Stamps and strung the banners from the Panda Party Stamps. I also heat-embossed a punny greeting on a shortened black Slimline Pennant Die by mixing words from the Bighearted Bears and Panda Party Stamps. I love how it all came together with the red, black, & white color scheme!

For my second card today, I used the Bighearted Bears Stamps to create a town scene with the pandas riding a bike, a mailbox, and the panda holding a balloon bouquet. For my scene's backdrop, I used the three buildings from the City Streets Stamps and the tree from the Happy Home Stamps. I masked off each building with hand-cut masks to ink my sky with Broken China Distress ink and then inked the pavement with Black Soot Distress ink. Lastly, I heat-embossed a punny sentiment from the Bighearted Bears set in the bottom, right corner.

Truckloads of Love Fourth of July Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi. I am sharing some fun Fourth of July cards using the pick-up trucks from our Truckloads of Love Stamps and Dies. These cards illustrate two different takes on the same design concept.

First I have a Fourth of July card using the pick-up truck, flag, bunting, apples, husky dog, and trailing stars from the Truckloads of Love Stamps. I added the neighborhood behind them using the trees, mailboxes, and houses from our Happy Home Stamps. I wanted to keep the focus fully on my pick-up truck, so I colored the scene behind it using only E41, E42, and E43 Copic marker colors. I finished my card with a simple stamped "Happy Fourth of July" greeting from our Happy Thoughts Stamps.

Next is another patriotic parade card using the Truckloads of Love Stamps with the dog from our Balloon Rides Stamps. To set the scene from my little hometown parade, I stamped a row of buildings from our City Streets Stamps, stamping them in tan ink onto kraft Paper for a subtle tone-on-tone look. For my greeting, I heat embossed my "Happy Fourth of July" sentiment from our Happy Thoughts Stamps onto a piece of blue grid paper from our Classic Gingham Paper pack and then die-cut it using the pennant from our Notebook Photo Corners Dies. I added stitching to the bottom of my card panel using the Slimline Basic Border Dies and layered it over a strip of blue star print paper from our Surprise Party Paper pack.
