Holiday Greetings Cards with Jarle

Hi crafty friends! It's Jarle here and I am back with my weekly project for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today, I am featuring the Holiday Greetings on 2 mini square cards. 

I really wanted the sentiments to be the star of the show, so I kept the backgrounds really simple. I started by die cutting 2 square frames from the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies out of regular white cardstock. 

After that, I trimmed down 2 square panels of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I did some stenciling with the Forest Trees stencils on both cards. For the pink trees I used Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Oxide inks. For the green trees, I used Cracked Pistachio, Lucky Clover and Pine Needles. 

I ink blended the sky with Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac on the card with the green trees and Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers on the card with the pink trees. I splattered on some Copic White for a little bit of texture and that 'wintery' look. 

I stamped the Holiday Greetings with the same Oxide colors, so Spun Sugar for 'Merry Christmas' and Peacock Feathers for 'Happy Holidays'. I did stamp Merry Christmas a few times because Spun Sugar is such a light ink. I adhered both sentiments on the card with liquid glue. 

For the wreath, I used the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-On dies and I added jewels from the Bright Jewels mix (I LOVE all these colors!). The wreath was adhered with liquid glue as well. 

I did mount the ink blended card panel with foam tape onto the Scalloped Square. A card always needs some dimension, right? After that, I adhered both cards on a white square card base. 

These cards were very simple to make, so I think they are easy to mass produce. Square cards are always a little bit extra special in my opinion. I love that the sentiment really stands out. The sentiment really is the most important thing on a card, isn't it?

Distinctive Door & Holiday Add-on Die Focused Card with Tina M

Hi, Crafty Friends! Tina M here! Today I have a cute and fun Holiday card to share with you, featuring the Distinctive Door Dies set, the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies set and the Wonderful Windows Dies set! These sets have so many options and cute details to choose from to create the most adorable cards!

I usually make my cards A2 size, but to fit all items I wanted to incorporate on this card I had to go up to a 6 x 6 inches card!

I started off with a red card base. Next, I trimmed a piece of turquoise paper from my stash to 5,75 x 5,75 inches, placed it inside the Woodgrain Embossing Folder,  and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a nice woodgrain texture for my house and adhered it to the card base, using double sided tape.  I then trimmed a piece of grey card stock to 1,5 x 5,75 for roof and adhered that to the top of the turquoise panel.

I die cut out the elements for my scene from the Distinctive Door Dies set, the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies set, and the Wonderful Windows Dies set from white card stock. Except for the light fixtures, the door handle, the pots for the decorative trees and the top stars where I used gold card stock. The snowy parts were die cut from white glitter paper. I die cut out the curtains from the turquoise floral-patterned paper from the Flirty Flowers Paper pack.

Next, I stamped the penguins from the Penguin Party Stamps set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers. See the list below. I then die cut the penguins out using the coordinating Penguin Party Dies.

Copic colors used:
Penguins: N3/5, R30, W0/1, R01, YR21/24
Santa´s hats/scarf: R22/24/27, C0/1
Gift box: E21/23 Ribbon/bow: R22/24
Glowing light: YR21/24

Using green and red ink I colored the trees, wreath, bows and berries. Using liquid glue, I assembled all the parts and created my scene! I tucked two of the penguins behind the curtains to peek out the windows!

I added foam dots to the back of the remaining two penguins and the potted trees and adhered them to the card. The greeting Hope your Holiday is fun & festive is from the Penguin Party Stamps set!

Distinctive Door Die Focused Card with Jarle

Hi friends! It's Jarle here and I am happy to be back with another project for Sunny Studio Stamps. This time, I'm using the Distinctive Door die set, together with its Holiday Add-On.

I started by trimming a piece of grey cardstock to 3.75 by 5 (color Anchor by Spellbinders). I embossed this panel with the Dapper Diamonds embossing folder, just to give it a little bit more interest. After that I die cut all the different pieces I needed from the Distinctive Door die set and the Holiday Add-On. 

I used these cardstocks: 
- For the greens: Peridot (Spellbinders)
- For the reds: Poppy (Spellbinders)
- For the yellow: Sticky Note (Lawn Fawn)
- For the greys: Fog (Spellbinders)
- For the blacks: Raven (Spellbinders)
- For the glitter snow: Pixie Dust (Lawn Fawn) 

On the greens, I did add some inking with Concord&9th Clover ink, but this really isn't necessary. I don't think you really see it much in the end result. 

I glued down everything onto the gray embossed panel. I colored the different light bulbs in a few random Copic colors. On the garland, I adhered a few Ruby Red Jewels. 

After that, I glued down the panel with the door on an A2 sized paper from the All Is Bright 6x6 paper pad. This paper pad is so beautiful. The paper that I used on this card is my absolute favorite one! What I love about the Sunny Studio paper pads is that they are double sided, which is great for interactive cards. 

I did want to add al little extra something, so I took out the Merry Mice stamp set and colored a few images with Copic markers. 

- Mouse: E44/E43/E42/E41/E40
- Santa Hat: R29/R27/R24
- Cheese trees: Y35/Y15/Y13 (+ random colors for the holes aka the lights)

I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and popped them on the card with some foam squares. I added a sentiment from that same Merry Mice set and white embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock. Finally, I adhered the whole card panel on a white card base. I added a bit of details with glossy accents on all the light bulbs and that finished off my card. 

I think it turned out super cute and I love the colors. Very 'Christmassy' :-) Have a wonderful day!

Distinctive Door & Wonderful Windows Christmas Home Card by Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share a house-themed Christmas card featuring our Distinctive Door Dies and Wonderful Windows Dies.

I enjoyed working with a larger 5x7-inch canvas for this Christmas card, which gave me plenty of space to create a beautiful holiday scene. In the summertime, deer visit daily and take their turns pressing their noses to our daylight basement window, so I loved the idea of adding the deer and cardinal visitors to the foreground using the Rustic Winter Dies. I decorated the porch with fir trees, wreaths, bows, and snow from the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies.

I altered the roof die from the Distinctive Door set to cut out the gable with my scissors and added the look of lap siding by scoring my cardstock every .25" using a scoring tool. I inked behind each lantern with Mustard Seed Distress ink with a PinkFresh Studio Blending Brush to give it the look that they are glowing. To add visual interest to my roof and provide the general idea of shingles, I cut two 3.5" wide x 1.5" high strips of grey cardstock and then "embossed" them with the Dotted Diamond Landscape Dies. I cut them into two separate strips to piece back together since the die is only 5.5" wide, and I thought it would be easier to line them up as two individual pieces than trying to line up the pattern on one long piece. I completed my card by heat-embossing a sentiment from the Build-a-Greeting Holidays Stamps onto a red banner using the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies.

Designer's Choice: Distinctive Door Die Focused Card with Alma

Hello everyone, Alma here. Christmas is here! I wish you all a fantastic Christmas season with your friends and family! Today, I’d like to show you a very special card – a Leporello card. 

For this, I scored a piece of cardstock into three sections and die-cut the background three times using the beautiful Distinctive Door Dies and the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies. 

I crafted the roof with the Buffalo Plaid Straight Die. What I love most about this card are the colorful lights and the snow, which make it feel so festive. I drew the snow with a white gel pen.

For the design, I die-cut many wagons from the Holiday Express Stamp set. I also used motifs from the Santa Claus Lane Stamp set. What a long train full of gifts and joy!
