Sneak Peek: Introducing Bundle of Joy Baby Stamps & Dies

Hello, and welcome to day 3 of our Summer Sneak Peek Week!  All this week I am sharing cards showcasing our newest collection, which will be available for purchase this Friday!

Card No. 1: I'm so excited to finally be sharing our adorable new Bundle of Joy Stamps. This set comes packed with adorable images and can be used in so many fun ways! Up first is a card using all the adorable baby clothes with the included hanger. To tie the colors from the clothes together, I inked a pastel rainbow background with distress inks and topped it with a white scalloped mat from our Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies. I then arranged the outfits in a 2x2 grid and added my sentiment from the set to the Brilliant Banner 1 Die. This was where my original idea was complete; however, I still felt like something was missing, so I came back and added the stitched frame using our Stitched Rectangle Dies, cutting out the center with my Fiskars paper trimmer. I was so much happier with my card after adding this simple frame, which gave it a bit more detail and helped the images feel less like they were floating on a vast white background.

Card No. 2: Up next, I turned to the adorable baby buggy and three of the four babies from the Bundle of Joy Stamps. I framed my scene using the Stitched Rectangle Dies cut from pink cardstock and added three stitched clouds with our Fluffy Cloud Dies. I then matted it on white cardstock and added a piece of aqua gingham to my background from the Gingham Pastels Paper pack. Lastly, I heat-embossed my sentiment from the Bundle of Joy Stamps using VersaMark Ink and Hero Arts White Detail Embossing Powder.

Card No. 3: Next up is a cute clothesline scene using the onesie bodysuit, bib, and bear hat from the set, "hung" up with clothespins from the Bundle of Joy Stamps, and paired with the wood posts from the A Bird's Life Stamps. I added the stitched Fluffy Cloud Dies behind them, along with the grassy hill from our Slimline Nature Border Dies. I then stamped grass tufts using images from the Chickie Baby Stamps and positioned two adorable birds from the Love Birds Stamps on either side of my sentiment from the Inside Greetings Congrats Stamps.

Card No. 4: My next card from the Bundle of Joy Stamps spotlights the darling stork carrying a baby bundle to drop into the baby buggy. I started my card by inking a layered pink cloud background using our Fluffy Cloud Border Dies with Spun Sugar & Picked Raspberry Distress Inks. I then added the Radiating Circle Die to frame my scene, but I wasn't loving how it was covering so much of the clouds I had just spent time inking, so I used the Stitched Circle Large Dies to cut a smaller circle from the center and turn it into a ringed frame. 

I pieced the sentiment together using words from the Bundle of Joy Stamps with the word "congratulations" from the Inside Greetings Congrats Stamps, the word "on" from the Country Carnival Stamps, and the word "your" from the Kiddie Pool Stamps (although with the masking or cutting words apart, both the words can be found in the Country Carnival set). I also added a few hearts that were sitting on my desk from our new Monkey Business Stamps, which will be shared tomorrow. My card was still feeling like it was missing a little something, so my last touch was adding a white scalloped border from the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies and backing it with yellow cardstock to match the baby bundle. I really like how it tied the colors together.

Card No. 5: When I see these two darling babies from the Bundle of Joy Stamps, I envision them on a playdate in the grass and since I didn't have a blanket image to use, I created the feel of a baby quilt around the border of my card, using the square die from the Basic Mini Shape Dies together with patterned paper from Polka-dot Parade Paper and Dots & Stripes Pastel Paper packs. I framed the babies using the scalloped lace mat from the Mini Mat & Tag 2 Dies, layered over the Stitched Rectangle Dies, cut from a coordinating blue striped print. Lastly, I added a butterfly from the Spring Scenes Stamps and heat-embossed a trail from our new Sweet As Can Bee Stamps.

Card No. 6: Every time I see the cute baby snuggled up in their sleeper, with their little bum in the air, my first thought is how much I want to pinch it, but my second thought is how adorable the baby from the new Bundle of Joy Stamps would look cradled by a moon. We don't have a moon die this size, but I was able to fashion my own from the Stitched Circle Large Dies by cutting a smaller circle from the set from the side of my larger circle. I added the clouds from the Baby Elephant Stamps and the stars from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies. I heat-embossed my greeting on a Brilliant Banner 2 Die, which had been inked to match the clouds using VersaFine Clair Bali Blue Ink. Finally, I added finishing touches with my white gel pen, adding a string for one star to hang from and smaller stars in the background.

Card No. 7: For my last card of the day with the Bundle of Joy Stamps, I die-cut stitched circles across my card front using the Staggered Circles Die, and backed the openings with patterned paper from our Gingham Pastels Paper pack. I filled the openings with the four babies from the set, colored to match the patterned paper behind them. I then added three buttons to match scattered around the circles from the Woolen Mitten Dies. I love how these button dies have the depth and cuteness of a real button, but are flat enough to go through the mail without paying for extra postage. I added a strip of rainbow heart-print paper from the Spring Sunburst Paper pack, then stamped the word "welcome" from the Baby Elephant Stamps and spelled out "baby" using the Sydney Alphabet Dies.
