Quilted Hearts Landscape Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a sweet birthday card to share featuring the Foxy Friends set, Big Bold Greetings set, and Quilted Hearts Landscape Die. So, let's get started.

I stamped the adorable images from the Foxy Friends Stamps and the bouquet of balloons from the Party Pets Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Foxy Friends Dies and Party Pets Dies to die cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps onto a piece of white cardstock with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and used the coordinating Big Bold Greetings Dies to die cut it out. Next, I die cut a banner using the Stitched Rectangle Dies out of white cardstock. I stamped the "to one Foxtastic friend" from the Foxy Friends Stamps onto the banner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

For the layout, I used the beautiful Quilted Heart Landscape Die and the scallop die from the Frilly Frames Hexagon Dies out of white cardstock. I trimmed the Quilted Hearts panel down to fit inside of the scalloped panel. I adhered the two panels together before adhering them to a piece of pink cardstock. 

I adhered the colored images and sentiments onto the panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Guest Designer Spotlight: Monkey Business Card with Tammy Stark

Hello friends, Tammy here! I'm so excited to be back on the Sunny Studio  blog today sharing a card, featuring the adorable set, Monkey Business. 

To create my card, I started by stamping the images from Monkey Business, coloring with Copic markers, and die cutting the images with the Monkey Business Dies.

Next, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock A2 sized and ink blended the top 3/4 of the card with Saltwater Taffy and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks. I then taped off a small area on the bottom of the panel and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to create a sandy border. I splattered some Vintage Photo ink (thinned with a bit of water) onto the sandy border to create a bit of texture.

Next, I die cut the vines and leaves from Bristol cardstock using the Jungle Vines Dies. I colored the leaves and vines with Copic markers and arranged them onto the inked panel, trimming off the excess. I then stamped the sentiment using black ink. Next, I created a simple frame simply by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2". Using the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangles Die, I centered onto my white cardstock panel and ran it through my die cut machine to create a frame. I attached the frame to my card using foam tape for dimension, then arranged the monkeys and stamped images onto my card. Once I was happy with the layout, I attached the images with both a glue runner and foam tape.

Silly Sloths Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a sweet birthday card to share with you showcasing the adorable Silly Sloths set. So let’s get started.

I stamped the images from the Silly Sloths Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Silly Sloths Dies to die cut them out. The Jungle Vines Dies were used to die cut a couple of tropical leaves out of the same Neenah white cardstock. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the background, I used Spun Sugar and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. The second largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies was used to die cut a window out the center of a piece of white cardstock to create the white frame.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Have a slothsome birthday” sentiment from the Silly Sloths Stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used the banner die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies to die cut it out.

The colored images, sentiment and white frame were adhered to the card front with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”).

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am excited to share a fun birthday card showcasing the new Jungle Vines Dies. This awesome die set has a wonderful array of leaves that can be used for so many different styles of cards. They are perfect for tropical as well as jungle scenes and can be customized for spring as well as fall cards. Today, I have paired them up with the adorable monkeys from the Monkey Business set. So let's get started. 

The Jungle Vines Dies were used to die cut the branch, vine and several leaves out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. Next, I stamped the monkey images from the Monkey Business Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Monkey Business Dies to die cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

For the background, I used Saltwater Taffy and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. The largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies was used to die cut out the panel. I added some dots with a white gel pen for a bit of interest. I adhered the panel to the front of a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used the coordinating Big Bold Greetings Dies to die cut it out.

The vines, leaves, colored images and the sentiment were adhered to the card front with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I added a few flowers die cut from the Gift Card Envelope Dies.

The Graduate Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am so excited to share a fun graduation card featuring the new The Graduate set from the new Summer Release! Have you seen all of the amazing products from the new release?! This graduation set couldn’t have come at a better time. Graduation season is just around the corner and I have several graduates to celebrate this year. The Graduate set is a smaller but very versatile set that can be used for both younger and older graduates. So let's get started.

I stamped the images from the The Graduate Stamps and a few cat images from the Cat Antics Stamps and Party Pets Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating The Graduates Dies, Cat Antics Dies and Party Pets Dies to diecut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

Full confession: I had to perform a little surgery on that cat in the center of the card from the Party Pets Stamps set. The original image is a full-body view of the cat with his hand positioned so that he could hold balloons. I thought the hand gesture would be perfect for the appearance of him tossing up his graduation cap. So I used scissors to trim the legs off of the colored image so that he would look more like the other cats who only had their upper bodies showing. But rest assure that no real cats or clear stamps were harmed in the process of making this card. 

For the layout, I used the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies to diecut a panel out of white cardstock. I matted this with a slightly larger piece of yellow cardstock. I adhered a piece of craft foam to the back of the panel before adhering it to a piece of patterned paper from the Surprise Party Paper.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Congrats Grad” sentiment from the The Graduate set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used the coordinating die to diecut it out. I love the beautiful font and how bold the sentiment is. I added some highlights with a white gel pen and adhered the sentiment to the panel with foam tape.

I adhered the colored images to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25” x 5.5”). I finisshed the card by adhering some stars diecut out of yellow cardstock with the stars die from the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2.
