Grad Cat Card with Amanda

Hey crafty friends! It’s Amanda here sharing a fun little graduation card with you! This card was a lot of fun to make using a masking technique!

First, I stamped my cat from the Grad Cat Stamps. Using the leftover ink on the stamp, I stamped it again on a piece of Heffy Doodle Memo Tape. I used scissors to fussy cut the mask out and then placed it over the cat.

Next, I stamped the Spring Scenes Stamps, which includes the background, bench, and lamppost. Using the same masking technique to mask this image. For the rocky sidewalk, I used the Sprawling Surfaces Stamps.

Before removing my masks, I ink blended Catherine Pooler Hot Tub ink for the sky. Once that was complete, I removed all the masks so that I could color in my scene.

I added a few highlights and dots with a White Gelly Rolly pen. I adhered my card panel to my A2 card base with liquid glue.

Grad Cat Card with Amanda

Hey everyone, it's Amanda here. It’s that time of year! Have you made all your cards for your grads of 2025?! I’ve got mine ready! Feel free to steal this idea for your own cards!

First, die cut the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles frame with white cardstock. Keep all of the rectangle cutouts for stamping on. Glue the frame to an A2 card base (4.25”x5.5”).

Take the square from the bottom right corner and stamp the little kitty from the Grad Cat Stamps with your stamping platform. Keep the cat in place and don’t clean the stamp yet! Place a piece of masking tape (like Heffy Memo Tape or a sticky note) over the stamped cat. Using the leftover ink that’s still on your cat, stamp the image onto your masking tape. Using scissors, fussy cut the outline of your cat. Place the mask over the stamped image of the cat. Then, ink up the book and stamp the image so it looks like the cat is sitting on the book.

Use the same process to stamp the other 2 rectangles with the dogs from the Puppy Dog Kisses Stamps and the books from the Grad Cat Stamps. You’ll need to make several masks for the books! Keep the masks you used from your first rectangle to use on the other rectangle!

Place your card base (that has the frame glued to it) in your stamping platform and stamp the sentiments directly onto it. I used a combination of sentiments from both stamp sets!

Remove all your masks from your square and rectangles and get ready to color! I used Copic markers, but you could use any coloring medium you prefer! After I finish coloring my stamped images, I always add some white highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen.

Once they’re all colored in, apply some foam tape to the backs of the square and rectangles and adhere them to your card front. Finally, add some gems! I’ve used one gem each from the Gold Jewels, Bright Jewels, and Pastel Jewels.

Woo Hoo Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here with an adorable graduation-themed card! I have several family members graduating, and I just love this sweet owl from the Woo Hoo stamp and die set!

As usual, I started with a white card base and went on to create a cloudy scene panel. On a white piece of card stock slightly smaller than the outside of the frame die we will be using later on, I ink blended a soft pastel sky with a stencil from my stash and Distress Oxides Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Kitsch Flamingo.

Then I cut a white frame with the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die. Since I wanted the clouds to continue across the little boxes, I just glued the frame on top of the inked background with liquid glue.

After selecting my images from the Woo Hoo and Grad Cat sets, I colored them in fun tones with my copics and added white highlights with a gel pen. To fill in the smaller boxes I also die cut two cloud shapes from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die.

I browsed through my sentiment stamps and found the perfect saying in the Happy Thoughts set. It took a bit of masking to get the "wishing you a" sentiment spread over two lines. But I love how it turned out (Versafine Onyx Black ink).

Now it was time to build all the mini scenes, starting with the branches, and adding the owl, books, diploma, clouds, and little leaves. This card has already a lot of details so I kept the embellishments simple, just some White Diamonds Jewels.

Grad Cat Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and we are wrapping up our graduation themed projects for the week featuring the cute Grad Cat Stamps. I love how several of the new products from the Summer Release work so well for graduation cards!

I started this mini slimline card by cutting a panel for the card front 3” x 6” from white cardstock and inking it with Uncharted Mariner Distress ink. I lightly inked the top and applied more pressure with a blending brush towards the bottom of the panel. Next, I die-cut the notebook paper die from the Notebook Photo Corners Dies twice from light blue cardstock and stamped the graph paper/grid stamp from the A Cut Above Stamps in dark teal ink on both die-cuts. I adhered them at angles across the panel and trimmed the excess along the edges.

Next, I die-cut a banner from the Notebook Photo Corners Dies twice from dark yellow cardstock and white cardstock. I inked the white banners with Uncharted Mariner Distress ink and heat embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder. I then layered the banners slightly overlapping and adhered them to the card front, trimming the excess from the edges.

I die-cut the star balloon from the Bright Balloons Dies from white cardstock and inked it with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. I tied some dark yellow embroidery floss to the balloon and adhered it in the top right corner.

To finish, I stamped the cat, books and stars from the Grad Cat Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I also stamped and colored a diploma from the Woo Hoo Stamps and die-cut it using the coordinating dies.

Grad Cat Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a colorful graduation card for you today! It’s that time of the year when we all need such a congratulations card. Mine is for my niece who will receive her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering sciences. I am sure she will love this sweet cat with the hat and diploma! 

My white card panel is dry embossed with the Sunburst Embossing Folder. I really love the extra texture this gives to a simple base. To highlight my scene I die cut the largest oval from the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 set and turned it into a frame with a smaller oval die from an infinity set. The sweet pink paper is from the Gingham Pastels pack.

Next, I stamped and die cut all my images for this card using the Cat Grad and Woo Hoo sets. These products work so well together! I colored everything with my Copic markers.

As an extra festive detail I also die cut three Crepe Paper Streamers and used the same markers to make them match the color scheme. I added some golden and white details with gel pens from my stash.

As a sentiment, I combined the ‘happy graduation’ from Happy Thoughts which is a very versatile set to have at hand for lots of occasions.

I glued my embossed panel to a card base and started layering all the images, creating a pile of books for the sweet cat to sit on. I tucked the diploma under the tail and added the streamers to the background. Lastly, I adhered the sentiment and some Gold Jewels.

Grad Cat Gift Tags with Marine

Hello crafty friends! Marine here, I'm super happy to be back on the blog with those six graduation shaker tags showcasing the ever so cute kitty from Grad Cat. Love this sweet little guy so much I thought it would be fun to create a variety of cats with matching bow ties and books.

I started off by stamping six kitties, books and bow ties, all from Grad Cat, on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it Brush markers. I colored each kitty in a different way to make each one of them unique, and once the coloring was done, I stamped a star, again from Grad Cat, on each book spine.

Next I created six shaker tags using the same process as the Meow & Furever tags I made back in January. The papers I used are from the Heroic Halftones paper pack, and these are perfect because they look like they're shining a light on each kitty that just graduated. So, I made those tags using the Mini Mat & Tags 3 die set, and to decorate the top I cut and glued a gold glitter star using a die from the Mini Mat & Tags 4 die set, and used gold thread from my stash to make handles.

I attached each kitty and book on their matching tags using 1mm foam squares, and then I created the greetings. I cut six speech bubbles out of matching cardstock using a die from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die set, next I cut six more speech bubbles out of gold glitter cardstock, I attached a gold glitter speech bubble behind each colored speech bubble, and then stuck the elements on the tags using 1mm foam squares again.

As always I finished the tags by adding highlights and details on the images and speech bubbles using a white gel pen. And that's it! I hope you like those cute and colorful graduation shaker tags. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see next time!

Grad Cat Card with Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends, Catherine here with you! It’s graduation time and today, I am sharing a card created with the cute Grad Cat Stamps and the new Notebook Tabs Dies.

To start, I die cut white cardstock with the largest die in Stitched Rectangle Dies. I ink blended the panel with Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides. I splattered some orange watercolor onto the bottom of the panel and blue watercolor onto the top of the panel. I sprayed some Gold Shimmer onto the panel for added interest.  I set the front panel aside to dry.

To make the notebook paper, I die cut some lined cardstock with Notebook Tabs Dies. I adhered black cardstock under neath the lined cardstock and glued the notebook paper onto the front panel at a slight angle.

I stamped the images from Grad Cat Stamps and die cut with the coordinating Grad Cat Dies. I added a mortar board and diploma from Woo Hoo Stamps, confetti from Bold Balloons, and stars from School Time Stamps. I colored the images with Copic Markers listed in my blog link below.

I finished off the card with a Congrats sentiment from Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies and a White Heat Embossed sentiment from Grad Cat Stamps.
