Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Build-A-Bowl and fruit dies.

For my card I cut a top fold white base card. Cut the front of the card using the inner piece of the Frilly Frames Hexagon dies to create a see thru card. Ink Blending a panel using Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint. Splattered some water and green ink and glued the panel on the inside of the card.

Die cut the strawberries out of the Strawberry Patch Dies using green, pink, yellow, black and white cardstock. Ink Blended the strawberries using Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. Glued the strawberries together. For the front panel I Inked up the leaves using Forest Moss before glueing them to the front of the card.

Die cut the Build-A-Bowl Dies out of white cardstock and glued the strawberries on the back before glueing them to the card. Die cut the word sweet using the Sydney Alphabet dies and white cardstock. Glued it on the inside before stamping birthday out of the Birthday Cat Stamp.

Used Copic Colors:
Black - T6, T4, T2
Yellow - Y38, Y35, Y32
Wings - B02, B00, B000, 0

Heat set the other sentiment from the same Birthday Cat Stamp on some black cardstock and trimmed it down to a small banner. Stamped the bees out of Sweet As Can Bee stamp, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Sweet As Can Bee dies. Added them to the front of the card and finished off using some wink of stella clear glitter on to the wings.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Sweet As Can Bee Cards with June Helsen

Hello everyone, it's June Helsen again with some new cards using the latest release! I'm so happy I was invited as a guest designer for this release, because it has one of my favorite things in it: bees! Well I don't like actual bees, but when it comes to stamps I LOVE them! So that counts.

The first card I created combines the new Sweet As Can Bee stamp set with an older one, Holiday Hugs. It's always so great when you can use your holiday sets year round by making some adjustments, and this one is perfect for that. A bear with a striped scarf? Isn't that the perfect image to use together with these bees and their pot of honey? 

I made a background using the Buffalo Plaid Diagonal and the Diagonal and Straight Stripes stencils. These 2 layer perfectly to create a summery plaid pattern with lots of texture. I framed my scene using the largest of the Fancy Frames Rectangle dies. I tucked the bear and bee trails into the frame, but layered the honey dipper and pot on top so it looks like the bear is coming out of the frame.

I finished my card by adding one of the sentiments from the Sweet As Can Bee stamp set. I always love it when a sentiment has a matching die, so I just had to use the 'Honey Bee'!

My second card is equally as colorful and uses the same bees, this time with a honeycomb instead. I cut a square from the light green woodgrain paper that's in the Amazing Argyle Paper Pack and cut a smaller one from white cardstock, which I blended some green ink on. I also added ink splatters for some more texture. I framed that square using some of the Fancy Frames Square dies, one in brown and one in blush cardstock. I popped the frame up on some foam tape to make it stand out a bit more.

I created a scene with my Sweet As Can Bee stamped images where the bees are flying out of and around the honeycomb. I tucked some flowers around it to add another pop of color to match the frame. To finish my card, I used the same 'Honey' I used before in a different sentiment. 

I love how colorful these 2 cards turned out! I always love a good pop of yellow in a card design, so there might be a reason I always love bee stamps so much! I hope you enjoyed reading about my cards, and I hope you're all enjoying the newly released products equally as much. Bye everyone!

Sweet As Can Bee Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and as our garden is coming in full bloom it was great fun to make a card featuring the adorable Sweet As Can Bee stamp and die set. This set is just so cute and I love all the different images it contains for so many design options!

Having the beehive as a centrepiece, I opted for a white square card base. On top, I layered another white piece cut with the largest of the Scalloped Square 1 Small dies.
Before adhering, I created a focal point with the second largest of the Stitched Semi-Circle dies. To add a bit more detail to this piece, I used a stencil from my stash and some Distress Oxides in the shades of Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey to mimic the structure of a honeycomb.

I set this panel aside to let it dry while I worked on my images for this project. From the Sweet As Can Bee stamp I selected three sunflowers and bees, the beehive and some leaves. To anchor my design I went with the tree branch from the cute Love Birds set. I love a brown, yellow and purple combo so those where the Copic Markers I used today.

Before assembling the card, I placed all my elements inside the semi-circle to decide which sentiment I could use. Instead of adding a banner strip, I decided to stamp the phrase directly on my panel with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I also added a little bee trail for extra cuteness!

Now I was ready to build the scene, starting with the tree branch and leaves. Next I used some foam tape to add the beehive, bees and sunflowers. As always I added some bling for that extra detail (Pastel Jewels Mix).

Sweet As Can Bee Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a sweet card featuring the Sweet as Can Bee stamp set.  

For this card, I once again started with creating the background. I blended blue ink onto a piece of white cardstock to create a soft and bright sky background.

Next, I die-cut the Botanical Backdrop from white cardstock. I blended green ink onto the leaves and then adhered the frame onto the blue background panel.

After that, I stamped the Big Panda image and colored it with my Ohuhu pencils. But this time, I decided not to turn it into a panda…instead, I transformed it into a cute little honey bear! I absolutely love how adorable he turned out holding the honey dipper.

Then I stamped the images from the Sweet As Can Bee stamp set and colored those with my Ohuhu pencils as well. The bees, honey jar, flowers, and honeycomb make the whole scene feel so cheerful and sweet.

To finish the card, I added highlights with a white gel pen and adhered all the images onto the card, tucking them behind the Botanical backdrop.

Sweet As Can Bee Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am excited to share a sweet birthday card showcasing the super cute new Sweet As Can Bee set from the latest Summer Release.

I stamped the images from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps and a branch from the Little Birdie Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Sweet As Can Bee Dies and the Little Birdies Dies to die cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

Branch: E21/23/25/27
Leaves: YG01/03/25

For the background, I used Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a sky background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used the Comic Strip Everyday Dies to die cut a frame out of white cardstock. I used a pair of scissors to snip off the dividers and leave just a border frame. Foam tape was used to adhere this white frame onto the inked panel. I added some dots with a white gel pen for a bit of interest.

For the sentiment, I used the Brilliant Banner 1 Dies and Brilliant Banner 3 Dies to die cut the banners out of black cardstock. I stamped the “Just Buzzin’ by to Say” and the custom created “Happy Bee Day” sentiments from the Sweet And Can Bee Stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto the banner die cuts and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder.

The colored images were adhered to the panel with liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I added a few flowers die cut from the Gift Card Envelope Dies. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”).
