Feeling Froggy Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Feeling Froggy.

For today's card I decided to create a shaker card. I first ink blended the background using Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold and Abandoned Coral. Splattered some water and cut the Window Squad Square Dies. Cut a white top fold card, added a kraft rectangle and a slightly smaller white rectangle. Placed the ink blended background onto it and adhered the four squares directly on the white panel. Adhered a piece of acetate behind the ink blended panel, filled the shaker using Champagne Clear Jewels and closed it.

Die cut a border of grass and ink blended it using Peeled Paint. Stamped the Country Scene stamp, colored the "sand part" and cut it using the matching Country Scene dies and for the bottom my scissors. Inked up a background using Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Blueprint sketch. Splattered some water and adhered the gras, sand and water together.

Stamped the images of Country Scene, Feeling Froggy and Party Pets. Colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Country Scene dies, Feeling Froggy dies and Party Pets dies. Heat set the sentiment out of Big Bold Greetings on some vellum using a white embossing powder and cut it using the matching Big Bold Greetings dies. Heat set the "hoppy" sentiment on some kraft cardstock and cut it.

Inside Greetings Friends Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Inside Greetings Friends Stamp.

Cut a white top fold card, cut a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch watercolor panel and ink it up using Squeezed Lemonade, Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick. Splattered some water and Picked Raspberry and die cut the Window Quad Square Dies out of the top part of the panel. Adhered the panel onto the card using foam tape. Adhered the small squares directly on the card to create some depth.

Die cut two green grass borders and added some Mowed Lawn on to them. Heat set the sentiment out of Inside Greetings Friends Stamp. Die cut the word "Friend" out of white cardstock using the Chloe Alphabet Dies and adhered all the elements onto the card.

Sunflower Fields Fall Card Set with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some floral cards for Autumn using our beautiful Sunflower Fields Stamps.

First, I have a card with a wood embossed background using our Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I started by running the folder through my die-cutting machine with a piece of aqua-blue cardstock, and then I ran over the surface with two different distress crayons and used a damp cloth to blend them and buff out the waxy spots. These crayons came from Ranger's holiday sets #4 and #5 in Shiny Bauble and Juniper Berry, so they were special seasonal pearlescent colors with flecks of sparkly mica that give my background a beautiful glimmer in person. I used the layered images from our Sunflower Fields Stamps for the focal point for flowers and bees. I completed my card by stamping the word "hi" from our Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamps on a small tag from our Window Quad Square Dies, cutting off its top to make it look like a stitched pennant strip.

For my second card featuring the Sunflower Fields Stamps, I created a floral bouquet, adding another tag from the Window Quad Square Dies cut from kraft cardstock and stamped with the phrase "many thanks" from the same stamp set. For my background, I stamped the tone-on-tone diagonal mesh print from our Background Basics 2 Stamps, trimming off about 1/8" along the bottom so my white card base could peek out and provide a bit of contrast, visual interest, and balance with the top-heavy feeling of my flower bouquet. Lastly, I added a jute cording bow on the top of my tag to make it look tied around the bouquet.

Scrumptious Cupcakes Birthday Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! We are celebrating Sunny Studio's 10th Birthday all this week, so this is Mendi here today popping in to share some bright and happy birthday cards for Summer using our fabulous Scrumptious Cupcake Stamps.

First up, I have a slimline-style card featuring a rainbow of our Scrumptious Cupcakes. I had stamped a number of these a couple years ago when we first introduced these stamps HERE so I just matched up as many pieces as I could and then stamped a couple extra cupcake wrappers for the yellow and green cupcakes to fill in some gaps in the color wheel. I had to check myself, because knowing the design patterns I often fall into I couldn't believe I hadn't thought to make this card back then.

I added a small slit in each cupcake with an X-acto knife to slip the candles through to look like they were buried in the frosting. I then inked up my card background using Mustard Seed distress ink to look like a glow behind each of the candles. I felt like my card was still missing a little something so I added the sparkle images from our Garden Fairy Stamps. I wanted a really long sentiment to span the length of my card under my cupcakes, but I didn't have something that long. I realized that it would be fun to repeat the sentiment from our Happy Thoughts Stamps twice like you would when singing the "happy birthday" song. I didn't even have to reposition the sentiment in my MISTI tool. I just let part of the card hang out and carefully stamped it again.

My second card mixes all the colorful layers from our Scrumptious Cupcake Stamps , and this time, instead of topping them with a candle, I topped each cupcake with a cherry from the set. I then layered each cupcake onto a polka-dot stitched square using our Window Quad Square Dies and patterned paper prints from our Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper and Polka-dot Parade Paper. I finished my card by stamping the "happy birthday" sentiment from our Everyday Greetings Stamps using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
