Hello! Today's the big day! All 8 new stamp sets and coordinating dies are now available for purchase in our online store. Before you run off to shop though, I hope you will pull up a chair for one last "peek" of two new stamp sets for Autumn, enter our last giveaway for the week and check out a couple special offers we have this weekend. ;)
I would love to formally introduce you to our newest layering set called Pretty Pumpkins. The stamps come with three unique pumpkins that stamp in three separate layers, the coordinating stems, a layered leaf and three little vines. As a companion to the Pretty Pumpkins set, we also have a gorgeous new 3x4 sentiment set for fall called Autumn Greetings.
For my first card I inked over some clouds cut from masking material using our Sunny Sentiments and Rain or Shine stamps. I finished my card with a crisp white scalloped edge using our double stitched scallop dies.
For my next card I created a pop-up box card pairing the new stamps and dies with Lawn Fawn's adorable box card die set. I love how the pumpkins look in a 3-D setting like this one to create the look of a pumpkin patch!
The new stamps are also perfect for creating gorgeous tags for Fall! For these I created my tags using our Crescent Tag Topper dies and then stamped the pattern on the bottom using our Quilted Hexagon stamps shared on Tuesday HERE. I topped them with little jute cording and a pretty grosgrain bow which I adhered with some of my favorite Beacon's 3-in-1 liquid adhesive.
For my next card I decided to go a bit more rustic, pairing the pumpkins with a piece of burlap. To keep it from fraying too badly, I sprayed the back with 3M Spray Mount in a cardboard box and then adhered it to a piece of brown cardstock before trimming it and adhering it to another larger brown cardstock. For my sentiment, I stamped both the sentiment and dotted line from the set with versamark ink and then heat embossed them using brown embossing powder. I then cut the end of my sentiment strip using our Sunny Semi Circle dies before stitching around the edge on my sewing machine.
My last card for the day pairs the sentiment and leaf stamp (used for my subtle background print) from Autumn Greetings with the stamps and dies from last year's popular Autumn Splendor set.
Here's a full look at the new 4x6 Pretty Pumpkins and 3x4 Autumn Greetings clear stamps and coordinating dies available for purchase on Friday morning (please note: images are not shown to scale).
I have created a stamping guide to help you in layering the stamps. When working with dye inks I have found that it is often easier to layer the the images "backwards" by starting with the smallest stamp in your darkest color and working back to the lightest overall image. It has helped me tremendously in seeing where to line up my images. To use the guide, the dark black outlines show where the image touches the edges of the previous stamped layer.
You can download or print your own PDF layering guide HERE.
I frequently am asked what ink colors I've used. While I have used a variety of brands in my samples, there's a good chance you can achieve similar results with inks you probably already have in you stash. I highly recommend stamping your inks out and creating a swatch book to aid you in choosing two or three inks that compliment each other. These are the ones I happened to use here today from lightest to darkest:

Hero Arts Orange Soda
Papertrey Ink Orange Zest
