Two Scoops Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a summer card featuring the Two Scoops stamp set.   

For this card, I started by creating the base using a soft salmon-colored cardstock and die-cutting it with the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies. Then I created the white scalloped frame by die-cutting the same scalloped die from white cardstock and cutting out the center with the Stitched Square die.

Next, I die-cut the leaves  from light green cardstock using the Jungle Vine dies. To give both the salmon background and the green leaves a little extra dimension, I softly blended some ink onto them. After that, I adhered the leaves onto the salmon background and layered the white frame on top.

For the focal image, I stamped the Big Bunny along with the little hat and some flowers from the Big Panda stamp set and I colored everything with my Ohuhu markers.

Then it was time for the ice cream using the Two Scoops stamp set! Thanks to the layering stamps, the ice cream gets such beautiful detail. For the final stamp layer, I stamped it twice. Besides using a darker ink color, I also stamped over it with embossing ink and added some glitter embossing powder for extra sparkle. I placed the ice cream into the bunny’s hands and adhered it onto the card and stamp the sentiment.

To finish everything off, I added some highlights with a white gel pen and a neon yellow gel pen. I really love how the soft tropical colors and the sparkly ice cream give this card such a fun summer vibe.

Afternoon Tea Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and today you are invited to a special party! When I saw this cute Afternoon Tea stamp and die set, I knew I wanted to make a sweet pink themed card. 

Seeing the large images in this set, I opted for a square white card base. My next layer consists of a white panel made with one of the Stitched Square dies. After adhering this piece to the card base, I made another white panel, this time using the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies. As I often do, I dry embossed this paper with the Quilted Hearts Embossing Folder. I love layering white on white panels, since it brings elegance to the card without distracting from the focal point.

For this design, I decided to combine the images from the Afternoon Tea set with a lovely flower arrangement (Pink Peonies). I colored the flowers with my Copics and that was also my initial plan for the teapot and cup.

However, this is where I changed my mind and decided to go for the fun technique of paper piecing. I stamped my images a second time on pattern paper (Gingham Pastels) and used my scissors to cut them out. The handles of both the pot and cup were a bit challenging, therefore I just removed them and colored them with Copics on the white paper version. After I finished cutting, I simply glued the cup and teapot onto the white images to get that clean crisp border.

To ground my scene, I cut a layer from a green paper (Flirty Flowers) with the Scalloped Square 1 Large dies and one of the Slimline Basic Border dies. I browsed through my stash and found the perfect sentiment in the Inside Greetings Friends set. After stamping this phrase with a green ink on a white banner, it was time to assemble the card. A few Pink Spinel Jewels were the perfect match for this design.

Inside Greetings Friends Cards with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here and today I am excited to share these adorable friendship cards featuring the Inside Greetings Friends stamp set.

For this card project, I started by die-cutting 6x the Scalloped Square 1 Small from white cardstock, three of which I turned into grassy borders using our Slimline Nature Border dies. I decided to make three different colored cards, blending the insides of the scalloped squares with pastel blue, pink, and green Distress Oxide inks. For the grass borders, I also blended only the inside with green ink. I masked off the edges to achieve this, but honestly, it would be even easier to use Stitched Square Dies and stick them on top (I’ve already added them to my Wishlist!).

Next, I stamped the Inside Greetings Friends sentiment in a shade slightly darker than the background color, then stamped it again 1mm below in black ink to create a little depth.

I layered the grass borders onto the blended scalloped squares, tucking in some flowers from the Bunnyville stamp set behind the grass. From the Gingham Pastels paper, I cut squares slightly larger than the scalloped ones and rounded the corners with a punch before adhering the scalloped squares on top.

For each card, I chose a different cute critter:

On the blue card, the bunnies from Bunnyville stamp set and the Balloon Numbers stamp set, on the pink card, the sweet penguins from the Passionate Penguins stamp set and  on the green card, the adorable foxes from the Foxy Friends stamp set.

Lastly I added the butterflies also from the Bunnyville stamp set and the heart lollipop from the Bighearted Bears stamp set to each card. After coloring all the stamps with Ohuhu markers and adding highlights with a white gel pen, I adhered them onto the card bases and I mounted everything onto white cardstock bases, rounding the corners to match.

Holy Night Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, merry Christmas to those celebrating the holiday season! I'm back with this lovely nativity scene showcasing the perfect stamp set for the occasion: Holy Night, which is also the very first Sunny Studio set I bought back in 2020 and introduced me to the brand. Feel welcome to check the two other Holy Night cards I made here and here.

I started off by cutting a 3-6/8" x 3-6/8" panel out of a Heroic Halftones blue pattern paper, I applied a little bit of prize ribbon distress ink to the edges and then a bit of chipped sapphire distress ink to darken my sky even more, mixed a few drops of liquid stardust with water and added sparkling splatters all over my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. Next, I cut a panel as wide as the sky panel out of a Polka Dot Parade green pattern paper, turned it into a grass border using a Picket Fence Border die, applied Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness distress inks to the edges, and then added white splatters. I cut a square panel out of white cardstock using the second largest Stitched Square die, attached my night sky panel using liquid glue, and then the grass border using 1mm foam squares. I cut a Scalloped Square 1 Large Die panel out of a Classic Sunburst blue pattern paper, stuck my white panel to it using 1mm foam squares again, and finally attached my panel to a 4,5" x 4,5" white card base.

I stamped my Holy Night images on 110lb Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, cut them all with the coordinating dies, and then colored everything with my Ohuhu markers in a brown and neutral color palette. When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, attached them to my card using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and then created the greeting. I white-heat-embossed "Holy Night" from Holy Night on vellum, cut it into a small circle using the second-smallest Scalloped Circle Mat 1 die, and attached it to the card with dimensional transparent squares.
