To create my card, I first stamped
all my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock withMemento
Tuxedo Black Ink. I then used Copic alcohol markers to
color them.
Copic Colors Used:
Blues: B00, B21, B23, B28
Greens: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
Dessert: Y21, Y23, E33; 0, W00, W1, W3,
R46
Reds: R35, R46, R89
White: 0, C00, C1, C3
I
trimmed my card base to 4.25” x 5.5” from a piece of blue card stock and die
cut an arch-shaped window into this piece using the largest of theStitched
Arch Dies. I then adhered a piece of
clear acetate behind the arched-window with some liquid
adhesive. Next, I ink-blended a 4.25” x 5.5” piece of Neenah Solar
White 110lb Card Stock with some Distress Inks (Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire,
and Tumbled Glass.). To give this blending some texture, I then spattered some
water drops onto this piece and blotted it dry with a paper towel. I
also added a few spatters of diluted Copic Opaque White Paint.
To create my shaker card, I added someMajestic
Mini Sequinsto
my ink-blended piece and placed my card stock with the window on top of my base
piece with some 3D foam adhesive tape. To finish my card, I heat
embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder onto the same blue
card stock that I had used for my card base. Lastly, I adhered all of my images
with 3D foam adhesive squares for extra dimension.
Thanks
so much for taking the time to stop by! Wishing you all a lovely
day!
Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina and today I am featuring a
card using the beautiful dove image from the Love & Light stamp and die
set.
The color palette for this project is kept very soft and
pastel. I started by creating a white card base. Next I made a dry embossed
panel using the Buffalo
Plaid Folder for some elegant details in the background.
This panel was cut with the outer die of the Frilly
Frames Stripes die which gives a pretty stitched scalloped border
to your card panel.
The focal point of this card consists of two arched panels.
I used the largest of the Stitched
Arch dies to cut a beautiful teal flower paper from Flirty
Flowers. A second arch was created from white card stock.
Smaller images like the dove and stars from the Love & Light stamp are perfect to make your own patterned
background. I used a piece of scrap paper to figure out which layout would fit
the best into the arch shape. All the coloring was done with Copic markers in
soft shades of pink and teal. I added some details with a white gel pen.
Next, I stamped the stars onto the panel with Distress
Oxide Speckled Egg, the perfect match for the teals and pinks in
this project. A few dots with a black marker provided a ‘splattering effect’.
I love the look of the two layered arches, but adding some
greenery on both sides of the design really enhances the card. I die cut
several small branches from the Winter
Greenery Dies from shiny pink and white card stock from my
stash. I love this die set so much; I use it a lot in my cards. For my
sentiment I created the word ‘peace’ using the beautiful letter dies from the Chloe
Alphabet and the same shiny pink card stock as some of the
branches. I stacked three layers to give the letters lots of dimension.
Finally, I added a few Pure White Jewels as embellishments and
that finishes the card! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!
Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm very happy to be back on
the blog with this bright Hanukkah card showcasing the beautiful Love & Light stamp setwhich includes the perfect images to make your own Hanukkah
card or tags.
I decided to go
for a shaker card, and started off by cutting three different elements to build
it:
I added a little
bit of prize ribbon + black soot distress inks on the edges of my Dotted Diamond panel,
and used the largest Stitched Oval 2 die
to cut an opening right in the middle of it. I attached the acetate panel at
the back using double sided tape, and added foam strips all along the four
edges of my panel, as well as around the oval opening. I poured a bunch of
golden sequins inside the window, and then stuck my Spring Sunburst panel
on the foam to totally close the shaker. And to decorate the oval window
nicely, I attached my gold glitter frame using liquid glue.
Next I stamped all
my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly
black ink, cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using
my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers + Graph'it brush markers. I also white heat
embossed my "Happy Hanukkah" greeting from Love & Light on black cardstock
and cut it using the coordinating die.
I attached
everything on my shaker panel using 1mm foam squares and liquid glue, and
finally added highlights and details using a white gel pen. And that's it! I
hope that you like it. Here's another idea, as I'm writing this, you could
create a wreath with the olive branches and put either the dove in the center,
or the candelabrum, or even just the greeting, any of these would look amazing!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next week.
Hi crafty friends, Gladys here! I'm
excited to be back on the blog today to share a Hanukkah card using the
beautiful stamp set called Love and Light!
First, I stamped the images from Love and Light with
alcohol friendly ink. Then I colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Next, I used the largest square die from the Fancy Frames Square diescollection
out of Bristol Smooth card stock. I ink blended the inner panel with tumbled
glass, salty ocean, and prized ribbon distress oxide inks. I started from the
center of the panel with the lightest color and work my way out with the medium
and darker colors to add depth. For more interest I splattered flecks of white
and gold paint from Gansai Tambi using a small paint brush. I used the square die again to
cut from dark blue cardstock. Once the background panel was dry I adhered it
onto a white card base.
To assemble the card I centered the candles on the panel and
adhered it with glue. I popped all the leaves and arranged them in each of the
corners. Then I stamped the “Happy Hunukkah” sentiment from the set and used
the coordinating die to cut it out. I mounted it on the top center of the
panel. To balance the card I added more images below the candles.
That is all for me today I'll be back for more inspiration. Have
a wonderful day!
Hello everyone! Isha here today with a watercolor Hanukkah theme
card featuring the Love & Light stamp stamps and coordinating dies. I normally don't make
Hanukkah theme cards but really enjoyed creating this one.
I
started by creating the background using pigment powder, spritz with water to
get desired effect. I used magicals by Lindys gang. Stamp the star banner with
clear embossing ink, sprinkle WOW! opaque white power and heat set. add some
yellow color. Die-cut this panel using Stitched Rectangle dies.
Stamp
all the images from the Love & Light stamp set onto watercolor
paper using clear embossing ink, use the embossing powder, heat set. Die-cut
the images using the coordinating dies, add watercolor. Adhere the
panel to a white card and then add images using 3d foam.
Hello everyone, Bobbi here! Today, I’m sharing a card that features the Love & Light stamps and dies. There are many beautiful images in this set to help
celebrate Hanukkah. For this card, I’m also using the inverse cut out of the Stitched Arch die for the background of this
card.
To
make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped and die cut the images from the Love
& Light stamp set. I used Copic Sketch markers to color
them. Here’s a list of the Copic colors I used to color the images:
Greens: YG67, YG63, YG03
Reds: R89, R46, R22
Browns: E55, E53, E43
Blues: B39, B05
Yellows: YR24, YR08
I
cut the arch die from a white rectangle and attached the inverse cut to a blue
A7 card base. (I’ll save the white arch cut for another
card.) I added the symbolic images in and around the arch. I
used foam tabs behind some of the elements to create some dimension. Simple
shading on the bottom grounds the lower images.

Hello and welcome to the final day of our Holiday Sneak Peek Week! Each morning this week I have been showcasing projects using our newest fall & winter collections which are now available in our store!!!
Today I have the pleasure of celebrating our company's 8th birthday with all of you and a number of talented designers who are joining us for an inspirational blog hop with prizes at every stop and a special sale (more details below). I wouldn't have made it to this amazing milestone without your sweet support so thank you. It truly means so much. ❤
Card No. 1: My first card of the day is showcasing our new Love & Light Stamps with a Hanukkah card. I started by piercing my navy cardstock background using our new Dotted Diamond Portrait Die, followed by a white stitched mat using our Stitched Rectangle Dies, and a navy scalloped mat using our Mini Mat & Tag 3 Dies. I then arranged a number of the elements from the Love and Light stamps to create a little tabletop scene, sprinkling some Gold Jewels around the stamped elements. Lastly, I stamped my greeting from the set using Versamark ink on that same navy blue cardstock and heat embossed it using Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powder. As you'll continue to see for my cards today it's become my new favorite embossing powder for the holidays!
Card No. 2: Next up is a clean & simple card using the Love & Light Stamps and Dotted Diamond Landscape dies. This time I started with a piece of white cardstock which I inked up with Salty Ocean Distress ink, adding Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire to the outside edges before running it through my die-cutting machine. I stamped, colored, and die-cut the 9 menorah candles shaped like a heart using the coordinating Love & Light Dies. I made sure to keep the negative space around my die-cut candles so I could use it as a template to place on my card front to help me perfectly align my candles back into a heart since once they are die-cut they fall apart. After they were adhered with some liquid adhesive I was able to lift the template right off.
Next, I stamped the "love & light" greeting from the stamp set onto our Brilliant Banner 1 Dies which I had inked up using Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks. Lastly, I took some metallic gold Stickles Glitter glue and added the dots to every other intersection to emphasize the beautiful diamond pattern. I also added some Glossy Accents to each of my candle flames. Then I carefully set it somewhere safe to dry for a couple hours so I wouldn't accidentally drag my arm through it or stack something on top which I'm so prone to doing.
Card No. 3: Up next is a card showing off the Star of David banner from the Love & Light Stamps. I thought it might be fun to make them look like they are glowing in the night sky, almost light a string of specialty lights. To achieve the glowing look, I set the banners down where I wanted them and then took turns lifting them up to ink behind where each of the stars would land going back and forth. Some of them ended up being slightly off, but you get the general idea. Honestly, this background really looked like a hot mess for a while. It took me some time to carefully lay down some of the ink around the glowing portions using the PinkFresh Studio Blending Brushes to get into the tight spaces and do the best I could to prevent the yellow portions from turning green while still covering up the white background. It really didn't feel like it was fully coming together until I started to adhere the banners and add the snowflakes to the sky with a white gel pen. I finished my card by heat embossing the sentiment, adding a little heart from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies, and adding the dove with an olive branch from the Love & Light set.
Card No. 4: For this Hannukah card featuring the Love & Light Stamps, I started by inking up a white cardstock panel using Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Prize Ribbon Distress Inks. When it was completely dry (which I sped up with my heat gun) I then covered the panel with antistatic powder to prevent the embossing powder from sticking anywhere it shouldn't and then repeatedly stamped the Star of David using VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder to create my tone-on-tone background print. I then added the stitching to the outside edge by running it through my die-cutting machine using our Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies.
This time for my 9 candles I lined up my die-cut template over a gold metallic cardstock heart cut out using our Stitched Heart 2 Dies. I was careful to make sure to design these so they would work together and I love the results! For my banner that comes with the set, I decided to cut it in half and string them in two crisscrossing sections. For my sentiment, I inked up some scratch paper with the same Salty Ocean and Prize Ribbon Distress Inks to help my die-cut fade into the background and then I once again heat embossed it using my favorite Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powder.
Card No. 5: I couldn't let this release pass without showcasing how well our new Dotted Diamond PortraitandDotted Diamond LandscapeDies work with our popular Frilly Frames Lattice Dies. For this card, I decided I wanted to have my lattice background bleed off the edges so I ran it through my die-cutting machine a couple times locking it in place with previous cuts until the entire background was fully cut. I made sure to use a slightly larger piece of cardstock to do this so I would have some extra wiggle room to play with so I could perfectly center it over my Dotted Diamond background, creating the look of argyle which I think is so much fun!
In hindsight, I wish that after this step I had added a layer of vellum over the top just so my elements on top would pop more and not get lost with my background. Another solution would have been to do a tone-on-tone background or to use two cardstocks closer in color. Sadly by the time I realized this, my candles were already glued down tight and I didn't have it in me to start over. All the elements on top came from our Love & Light Stamps, including the "Happy Hanukkah" greeting which I heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder onto the same blue cardstock as my background.
Card No. 6: I couldn't resist creating one more card with the Love & Light Stamps for a non-Hanukkah card. I was able to use the bottle and wine glass images to create Champagne for a New Year's card when paired with the greeting from our Holiday Greetings StampsandDies.
To create my background I started by taking a standard pencil eraser and dipping it into Gina K. Sweet Corn, Sandy Beach, and Kraft inks. Then when they were dry I dipped the eraser into Versamark inkand heat embossed those dots with Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powderas a final touch. I love the way they catch the light and tie in with the other elements I also heat embossed, including a scrap on my desk leftover from another card using the negative space from a scalloped border cut with our Slimline Pennant Dies. I was able to directly press the cardstock remnant into my VersaMark ink pad and sprinkle it with the same embossing powder to create a piece of metallic cardstock in the perfect shade to match the rest of my card. So pleased with how it turned out and how quickly it all came together!
