Baking Spirits Bright Holiday Sweet Treat Gift Bags with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi popping in to share some Christmas holiday gift bags featuring our Baking Spirits Bright Stamps and Sweet Treat Gift Bag Dies. 

It's been a while since I've revisited our Sweet Treat Gift Bag Dies, and I almost forgot how cool they are! They come with all the pieces to create three different styles of gift bags and/or handle options. You can also add a cutout to the front to create clear cellophane windows. The possibilities are truly endless. For both my gift bags today, I chose to use the optional curved flap with the added slit and tab to hook them closed. They are the perfect size to give a handmade felt ornament, cookies, candies, gift cards, or jewelry.

For both of my bags, I cut all the pieces from red cardstock. Before I started folding them along the score lines, I stamped them with a seamless polka-dot pattern assembly line style in my MISTI tool using the border from the Background Basic 2 Stamps. I then cut panels for the front using the brown prints from the All is Bright Paper pack with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added the candy cane striped patterned paper strip to the bottom of each panel and then trimmed them down to only be 3-3/8" high so they wouldn't interfere with the slot closure.

Using white embossing powder, I heat-embossed punny greetings along the bottom of each panel. I arranged all the darling images from the Baking Spirits Bright Stamps (and a couple of hearts from the Christmas Cookies Stamps). Before adhering the curved flap for my treat bags, I cut a white scalloped piece using the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 Dies and cut out the center with the Stitched Circle Large Dies. I then cut the scalloped circle in half to use as a decorative trim piece for both bags. I love that it worked out that nothing went to waste. These were so fun to create!

Here's a side view of the gift bags closed up and ready for gift-giving. I positioned my bows with a strong liquid adhesive above the slit and tab closure so that the bag can easily be opened and closed without tearing anything. The ribbon came from my stash and was one of those old mini 4-foot spools by American Crafts. The completed bags measure 3-1/2" wide x 4-3/8" high.

Snowmen in Sweaters Holiday Gift Bag with Nicky

Well hello everyone, this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog where I'm sharing a fun Snowmen In Sweaters Holiday Gift Bag project. Read on for all the details:

I started by taking two matching sheets of patterned paper from the All Is Bright 6 x 6 Cardstock and I assembled the Sweet Treats Bag Die which is a very simple process and can be found in a useful video created by Sunny owner Mendi in THIS VIDEO.

I then adorned the bag with two snow drifts at the bottom of both the front and the back, using the Slimline Nature Borders Die, and I added a double layer of lace around the top edge (also front and back) using the Eyelet Lace Borders Die.

With the bag formed I used some cotton cord and knotted the handles in place and set it to one side.

I stamped the snowmen from Snowmen In Sweaters using Memento Ink in Black Tuxedo and I coloured the images with the following Copic marker combinations inspired by colours from the patterned paper:

Snowmen - C3, C1, C0, BG000
Teal - BG49, BG15, BG32
Red - R59, R39, R29, R27
Pink - RV63, RV52
Black - T9, T6, T4
White - C3, C1, C0
Blush - R22, R21, R20, R00
Noses - YR09, YR04

I shaded their coloured clothing using T3 and T2. Images were die cut, with the coordinating Snowmen In Sweaters Die, then highlighted with a white gel pen and applied to the bag with foam tape.

To adorn the bag further I added the little gift tag with the sentiment stamped from Happy Thoughts, I also added some Lacy Snowflakes die-cuts and a few sparkling clear sequins.

Gingerbread House Cards with Mayra and Ashley

Happy Monday everyone. Mayra here sharing this super fun treat bag with tags set with you today using the sweet Gingerbread House die set. 

I started by die-cutting all of the layers for the Gingerbread House, I also used the Slimline Nature Border dies set to create the icing for the house, and treat bag, the sprinkles are from the Cupcake Shape die set. I made the bag using the Sweet Treat Bag dies, the wreath and bows are from the Sweet Treat House Add-on die set, and the lights are from the Basic Mini Shape Dies 3 set. 

Next, I created the gingerbread cookie-themed tags, I used the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 dies set, and the Stitched Circle Large die set to create the shaker window. 

I then added color to all of the gingerbread-themed die cuts using Gathered Twigs and Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. Next,  I heat embossed the sentiment onto the back of each of the tags. The sentiment for the larger gingerbread cookie tag is from the Christmas Cookies stamp set, and the sentiment for the smaller one is from the Inside Greetings Holiday set.

Hello friends! It's Ashley today with a sweet holiday card featuring the amazing Gingerbread House die set. This set is full of the coolest details like those peppermint swirls - love! It also comes with a large outline to make the whole card be shaped like the gingerbread house so that's what I did!

I started by cutting the pieces of Gingerbread House from a few different colors of cardstock. I decided to go with a more muted version of traditional Christmas green and red, so I used mint and pink! I added a bit of depth to the larger pieces with some Distress Inks, then added some dots of color with Copics as well for a really cool look! I assembled everything on a white piece of cardstock cut using the outline die, then I used the outline die again on a folded piece of cardstock to create my base. Make sure to hang the side of the die a bit off the fold so it doesn't cut all the way through! I added the house piece to the base and voila! Shaped card!

I stamped the two gingerbread people from Christmas Cookies and colored with Copic markers. They just match the house so perfectly! I cut them out with the matching dies and added them to the card with some foam tape. For my sentiment I stamped the word "holiday" from the Christmas Cookies set in black ink towards the top of my house. I then used the Greetings Word Die once on pink glitter cardstock and twice on light pink cardstock to create a stacked word. I added my dimensional "greetings" just below the stamped "holiday" to complete the sentiment.

Christmas Critters Tags & Card with Mayra and Ashley

Hello everyone, Mayra here. Happy Monday and happy November!!! I am sharing a set of tags to share with you today. I used the adorable new Christmas Critters stamp set. 

I began by coloring the images using Copic markers. I used R14, R24, R46, R59, and E09 for the red areas. E89, E87, E84, E55, E31, and E41 for the sloths.

Next, I used the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die to die-cut the base panels for the tags. I used the circles from the Stitched Circle Large and the Stitched Circle Small dies to die-cut the base for the tags and to create the frame for the tags design. To create the frame, I used the Scalloped Circle Mat 1 dies. I then used the tags from the Window Quad Square dies set, the Wrap Around Box dies, and the tag from the Sweet Treat Bag die set. 

I then stamped the sentiments onto each of the separate tags. I used the sentiments from the Christmas Critters, Lazy Christmas, Inside Greetings-Holiday, and the Christmas Cookies stamp sets.

Hi friends! It’s Ashley today with a simple but still adorable Christmas card! The Christmas Critters set I used is full of options, so you could even create different versions of this same design!

I started by blending Distress Oxide inks in Bundled Sage, Pine Needles, and Black Soot onto white cardstock. I die cut the piece with the largest Stitched Rectangle for some subtle interest, then added it to a warm, light gray card base. 

I stamped the wreath and kitty from Christmas Critters in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink and colored with Copics. I cut them out using the matching dies, then added them to my card front. I popped the kitty up with foam tape to give him a bit of dimension. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the “meowy” in VersaMark ink and embossed with gold. I cut the “Christmas” from the Christmas Garland Frame die set from gold glitter cardstock and used it to finish the sentiment. I finished by using a gold marker to add some dots and crosses to the background for interest.
