Balloon Alphabet Die Focused Card with Yan

Happy summer, crafty friends! It's Yan here, and today I'm bringing a splash of tropical sunshine to your screen. Lately, I've been absolutely obsessed with the Balloon Alphabet Stamps and Dies — it is the perfect set for adding a cheerful, floating celebration to your summer projects!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Balloon Alphabet Dies & Monkey Business Summer Themed Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Tropical Trees Backdrop Dies)

To kick things off, I stamped the cheeky monkeys from the Monkey Business stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. For the scenery, I used the Tropical Trees Background Die to cut out the beautiful palm trees and sandy beach hills. I then brought all of these elements to life with my Copic markers.

COPIC COLOR:
Monkey: E30, E31, E35, E47, R30
Palm Trees: E18, E31, E35, E47, G14, G40, YG03, YG17

For the backdrop, I wanted a sunset that radiates summer heat. On a separate piece of white cardstock, I ink-blended a gorgeous gradient using Distress Oxide Inks in Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salty Ocean. I just love how the fiery sunset tones melt into the ocean blue at the bottom—it instantly brought the whole tropical scene together!

Next was my absolute favorite part—creating the magic 'SUMMER' balloons! I stamped and die-cut the letters to spell out 'SUMMER' in soft pastel tones, and finished them off with a touch of glitter for that magical, iridescent shimmer. To make the design extra playful, I tied real white twine to the balloons, so it looks like my happy little monkey is holding on tight and flying right up into the sunset!

To finish the card, I layered the die-cut beach hills and palm trees to create a sense of depth. Then, I used foam tape to pop up the monkeys and the 'HELLO' sentiment banner. Adding that little bit of dimension really made the whole scene come alive and feel full of joy.

And there you have it! I hope this joyful summer project inspires you to get crafty with your stamps. Happy crafting, everyone!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Monkey Business Card with Tammy Stark

Hello friends, Tammy here! I'm so excited to be back on the Sunny Studio  blog today sharing a card, featuring the adorable set, Monkey Business.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Monkey Business & Jungle Vine Card by Tammy Stark (featuring Stitched Rectangle Dies)

To create my card, I started by stamping the images from Monkey Business, coloring with Copic markers, and die cutting the images with the Monkey Business Dies.

Next, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock A2 sized and ink blended the top 3/4 of the card with Saltwater Taffy and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide inks. I then taped off a small area on the bottom of the panel and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide inks to create a sandy border. I splattered some Vintage Photo ink (thinned with a bit of water) onto the sandy border to create a bit of texture.

Next, I die cut the vines and leaves from Bristol cardstock using the Jungle Vines Dies. I colored the leaves and vines with Copic markers and arranged them onto the inked panel, trimming off the excess. I then stamped the sentiment using black ink. Next, I created a simple frame simply by cutting a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2". Using the second largest die from the Stitched Rectangles DieI centered onto my white cardstock panel and ran it through my die cut machine to create a frame. I attached the frame to my card using foam tape for dimension, then arranged the monkeys and stamped images onto my card. Once I was happy with the layout, I attached the images with both a glue runner and foam tape.

Lastly, I attached my card panel to a white A2 card base to finish up my card! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Monkey Business Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Monkey Business.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Monkey Business Birthday Card by Marieke Slaats

For today's card I decided to create yet another Clean and Simple card. So I cut a top fold white base card and ink blended both corners using Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn. Splattered some green ink. Using the same green ink I stamped the branch out of Love Monkey directly on to the card.

Heat set the sentiments of Monkey Business using white embossing powder on some black cardstock. Trimmed them down into small banners.

Stamped the images out of Monkey BusinessLove Monkey and Little Birdie. Colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Monkey Business dies or cut them by hand.

Have a wonderful day!

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a fun card created with the Jungle Vines Die set from the new Summer Release!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Jungle Vines Dies & Monkey Business Birthday Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Radiating Circles Dies)

I started with a white piece of card stock and ink blended it in different shades of pink, orange, brown and green to then die cut out various leaves and vines using the Jungle Vines Die set.

Next I stamped some monkeys and bananas from the Monkey Business Stamps set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol ink friendly card stock and used the coordinating Monkey Business Dies to die cut them out and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

Copic colors used:
Monkeys: E08/09/97, E000/01/11/13, R30/32
Bananas: YR20/21/23/24, E40/41, N4/5/6

For my card I used an A2 size card base, I added a piece of turquoise polka dot paper from the Polka-Dot Parade Paper pack to cover the card base, using double sided tape.

I trimmed a piece of pink cardstock from my stash to 5 x 3,75 inches and splattered black acrylic paint onto it. I then trimmed a slightly larger black panel to go behind my pink panel and adhered them to the card base, using double sided tape.

I die cut out the second largest of the Radiating Circles Dies from white cardstock and ink blended it with turquoise ink, I splattered black acrylic paint onto that piece also, when dried I adhered it to the pink panel using double sided tape.

For the sentiment I stamped the “Hope your birthday is Chimply bananas in the best way!” from the Monkey Business Stamps set. I added foam dots to the back of the monkeys, leaves and vines for dimension. For the small bananas at the bottom I used liquid glue.

Thank you for stopping by! Wishing you a happy and colorful day!

Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a card featuring Build-A-Bowl and Strawberry Patch dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Build-A-Bowl & Strawberry Patch Friendship Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Sprawling Surfaces, Monkey Business, Sydney Alphabet Dies)

For this card, I started by die-cutting the card base from dark blue cardstock. I also cut a small strip from light brown cardstock to create the ground for my little scene. I masked off the edges of the brown strip and stamped the floor, using Sprawling Surfaces stamp set and adhered it onto the blue background.

Next, I die-cut the bowl and the word “hello”, using Sydney Alphabet,  from matte gold cardstock. From white cardstock, I die-cut the fruit, leaves, and blossoms from the Strawberry Patch die set and I blended ink onto it.

To make the card even more fun, I stamped two little monkeys from the Monkey Business stamp set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers. I attached one monkey onto the bowl as if it was hanging from it, while the second monkey was tucked between the strawberries holding a strawberry in its hand.

After adhering all the elements onto the card, I finished everything off by adding some dots alongside the letters. I absolutely love how vibrant and playful the entire scene looks against the dark blue background!

Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you next week.

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am excited to share a fun birthday card showcasing the new Jungle Vines Dies. This awesome die set has a wonderful array of leaves that can be used for so many different styles of cards. They are perfect for tropical as well as jungle scenes and can be customized for spring as well as fall cards. Today, I have paired them up with the adorable monkeys from the Monkey Business set. So let's get started.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Jungle Vines & Monkey Business Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Big Bold Greetings, Stitched Rectangle Dies)

The Jungle Vines Dies were used to die cut the branch, vine and several leaves out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. Next, I stamped the monkey images from the Monkey Business Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Monkey Business Dies to die cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Monkeys: E000/00/21/11/93, E33/35/99
Branch: E21/23/25

Small leaves: YG00/01/03/25
Large leaves: YG01/03/25/17

Sunny Studio Stamps: Jungle Vines & Monkey Business Birthday Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Big Bold Greetings, Stitched Rectangle Dies)

For the background, I used Saltwater Taffy and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. The largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies was used to die cut out the panel. I added some dots with a white gel pen for a bit of interest. I adhered the panel to the front of a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used the coordinating Big Bold Greetings Dies to die cut it out.
