Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am excited to share a fun birthday card showcasing the new Jungle Vines Dies. This awesome die set has a wonderful array of leaves that can be used for so many different styles of cards. They are perfect for tropical as well as jungle scenes and can be customized for spring as well as fall cards. Today, I have paired them up with the adorable monkeys from the Monkey Business set. So let's get started. 

The Jungle Vines Dies were used to die cut the branch, vine and several leaves out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. Next, I stamped the monkey images from the Monkey Business Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Monkey Business Dies to die cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

Small leaves: YG00/01/03/25
Large leaves: YG01/03/25/17

For the background, I used Saltwater Taffy and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. The largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies was used to die cut out the panel. I added some dots with a white gel pen for a bit of interest. I adhered the panel to the front of a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used the coordinating Big Bold Greetings Dies to die cut it out.

The vines, leaves, colored images and the sentiment were adhered to the card front with a combo of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I added a few flowers die cut from the Gift Card Envelope Dies.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Monkey Business Cards with Rachel Alvarado

Hello crafty friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! It's Rachel here, and I have two cards to share with you that showcase the adorable new Monkey Business Stamps and Jungle Vines Dies. I had so much fun making these cards with these products!

For my first card, I created a shadow box card that folds flat for shipping. This card measures at 5.5" tall, 4.25" wide, and 1.5" deep. When folded flat, it can fit in a standard A8 envelope and measures 5.5" tall and 5.75" long. For the front window of this shadow box, I die cut a rounded stitched rectangle using the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies. 

For the inside of the card, I added a few hills of grass using the Slimline Nature Border Dies. I die cut the grass pieces from white card stock and blended them with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness Distress Ink. I also die cut my vines and foliage pieces from white card stock and used Copic Markers to give them some color and shading. For my monkeys, I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Markers. I then die cut them using the coordinating Monkey Business Dies.

Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment on black card stock using some Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and glued it to the front strip of grass.

Copic Colors Used:

• Monkeys: E000, E00, E11, E04 (light areas); E43, E44, E47 (dark areas)
• Foliage: YG01, YG06, YG17, YG67
• Tree Limbs: E31, E23, E25, E29
• Bananas: Y13, Y15, V12

I used the same Copic colors for my images on my second card as well as the Monkey Business Stamp Set and Dies. For my background, I used a beautiful piece of patterned paper from the Spring Fling Paper Pad. This pre-printed design makes it super easy to add some beautiful backgrounds without any fuss.

Once again, I heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and cut it out using my paper trimmer before adhering it to my card.

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Marieke

Hey everyone, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today, I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Jungle Vines Dies.

 

For my card, I decided to create a Mother's Day card. So I cut a white top-fold card base and adhered a Kraft base rectangle onto it. Die-cut the Frilly Frames Hexagon outer die from white cardstock, and cut a watercolor rectangle slightly smaller. I ink-blended the background using Rustic Wilderness, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron. I added the hearts using a stencil and the same ink colors.

 

Out of Kraft and two different green colors, I cut the Jungle Vines Dies. I ink-blended the branch and leaves using Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain, and Rustic Wilderness Distress inks. I then adhered them together and placed them on the top and bottom of the card. I heat-embossed the sentiments from the Afternoon Tea Stamps and Love Monkey Stamps. I cut the sentiments by hand and paired the Mother's Day greeting with the matching Afternoon Tea Dies.

Finally, I stamped the images of Love Monkey, Fabulous Flamingo, and Monkey Business Stamps. I colored them with my Copic markers, cut them by hand, and used the matching Monkey Business Dies.

Monkey Business Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a fun card created with the Monkey Business set from the new Summer Release!

I started by stamping all the monkeys and bananas I wanted to feature on my card from the Monkey Business Stamps set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on alcohol ink friendly card stock and used the coordinating Monkey Business Dies to die cut them out and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

Copic colors used:
Monkeys: E08/09/97, E000/01/11/13, R30/32
Bananas: YR20/21/23/24, E40/41, N4/5/6

For my card I used an A2 size card base, I added a piece of turquoise polka dot paper from the Polka-Dot Parade Paper pack to cover the card base, using double sided tape.

I then trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 5 x 3,75 inches and ink blended the panel using pink ink and then splattered black acrylic paint on top. I then trimmed a slightly larger black panel to go behind my ink blended panel and adhered them to the card base, using double sided tape.

Next, die cut several leafy pieces from the Jungle Vines Dies set from white cardstock and ink blended them using green and pink ink. For the sentiment I stamped the “Hope your day is chimply the best” from the Monkey Business Stamps set.

I added foam dots to the back of the monkeys and the pink monstera leaves for dimension, I arranged the monkeys on top of each other and tucked the pink and green leaves behind them, using liquid glue on the back of the green leaves. To finish the card off I adhered three small bananas to my scene!

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Yan

Hello crafters, it's Yan! Today I’m sharing a tropical-inspired card featuring the Jungle Vines Dies. This design focuses on layering, ink blending, and simple techniques to create a fresh and vibrant look.

To begin, stamp the bird images from the Tropical Birds Stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color the images with Copic markers, then use the coordinating Tropical Birds Dies to cut them out.

Toucan : C1, E44, R30, W1, W4, W7, Y00, Y02, Y15

Next, die cut several leafy pieces from green and white cardstock using the Jungle Vines Dies. Layer the pieces to create dimension and arrange them to form a balanced composition. For the background, blend Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Tumbled Glass onto white cardstock to create a soft tropical backdrop.

Then, I heat embossed a sentiment from the stamp set onto vellum paper for a clean and subtle finish. Finally, assemble all the elements using double-sided tape, adjusting placement as needed to complete the card.

This simple combination of layering and soft color blending is a great way to create a fresh, tropical design, and I hope it inspires your next card project.

Jungle Vines Die Focused Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing a summer beach card featuring the Jungle Vines dies.  

I started by ink blending the sandy beach and soft blue sky onto white cardstock, creating a warm and sunny background. Next, I used the new Jungle Vines Dies to cut out all the lush greenery. From the same set I also used the wavy die to create the ocean layers, which I ink blended too.

Then it was time to bring in the adorable beach crew. I stamped the cute monkeys from the new Monkey Business stamp set and added fun beach accessories from the stamp sets Tiki Time, Beach Buddies, and Sealiously Sweet. I colored everything with my Ohuhu Markers.

After arranging and adhering all the elements onto a card base, I finished everything off by adding some highlights with a white gel pen.
