Holiday Hugs Valentine's Day Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy New Year! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today, and I am thrilled to share a sweet postcard-style Valentine's Day card featuring the adorable bear from the Holiday Hugs set.

I am currently obsessed with postage and postcard-style cards. I was so excited to pair this cute bear with some stamp die cuts from the Gift Card Envelope Dies and stenciling with the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils to create a postcard-like design. So let's get started.

I stamped the bear and heart images from the Holiday Hugs Stamp onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Holiday Hugs Dies to die cut them out. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

Scarf: R14//24/29, RV10/21, C0/1
Heart: R14/24/29

For the background, I used the Diagonal & Straight Stripes Stencils and some Candied Apple Distress ink to create a striped border on a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. I took another piece of white cardstock and lightly ink-blended some Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink onto the edges. I trimmed a bit off the edges of the pink panel and adhered the two panels together.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment and red heart from the Foxy Friends Stamp set, the "Sending Love &" sentiment from the Big Bunny Stamp set, "Hugs" sentiment from the Holiday Hugs Stamp set and the "Especially For You" sentiment from the Inside Greetings Seasons Stamp set directly onto the pink panel with Versafine Satin Red and Onyx Black inks. I used a black pen to draw in the line and dots to create a separation of the left and right side of the postcard. 

I used the Gift Card Envelopes Dies to die-cut two stamps and the LOVE and XOXO letters out of white, red, and silver cardstock. I affixed them to the upper-right corner of my postcard. I adhered the bear to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base.

Background Basics 2 Card with Leanne

Hi everyone! Leanne here. It's usually this time during the winter months that I start to get really anxious for spring. I just couldn't resist brightening my spirits and craft desk with creating a card with a pretty spring color palette.  

I have used a mix of Sunny Studio products for this design including the new Basic Backgrounds 2 stamps. Instead of using the grid pattern stamp to create a background, I have used it to give the envelope a subtle pattern. After die cutting the envelope, I stamped the pattern before folding and adhering the bottom & sides.

To stamp the lilacs, their foliage, and the greeting, I used some Pink Fresh Studio inks. The pink shades are Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, & Bubble Gum. The green shades are Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll, & Key Lime.

Designer's Choice: Snowmen in Sweaters Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! Tina here and on this festive day we are creating a fun design for the holidays.

I selected three cuties from the Snowmen In Sweaters set and colored them with my Copics in vibrant colors that would match with my background element. As always, I added white details and snow with a gel pen.

My shaped base was made with the Gift Card Envelope die and a beautiful blue design paper from the Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones paper pack. I love the rich colors in this collection! The envelope is very easy to assemble with a few strips of thin double-sided tape.

Next, I selected one of the Stitched Square dies and cut it from white paper. This will be my background for the snowmen inside of the envelope. My sentiment was selected from the Reindeer Games set and stamped in a red ink from my stash onto a small white banner.

Then, I could start building the scene, by gluing the white square inside the envelope. Next, I added a piece of white card stock to the back of this ‘shaped card’ so I could write a message to the recipient. The snowmen were adhered with foam tape for dimension, they fill up the space nicely!

I mounted my sentiment banner and also a small white wreath (Distinctive Door Holiday Add-ons) with snowflake (Snowflake Circle Frame) at the top of the envelope. To match the red sentiment, I added a few Ruby Red Jewels.

Brilliant Banner 3 Die Focused Gift Cards with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today. I can't believe that it is less than two months until Christmas. I can see it already. In the blink of an eye, the holidays will be here and I will be scrambling for some last-minute gift ideas. And for some reason or other, gift cards are always amongst some of those last-minute gift ideas. 

Today I'm going to share a gift card holder tag idea for all of those gift cards for the holidays. I am using the Gift Card Envelope Dies that I have decorated with the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies, a Roly Poly Penguin and some elements from the Woolen Mitten Dies.

I stamped the penguin from the Roly Poly Penguin stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Roly Poly Penguins Dies to it out. I colored him with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

I used the Gift Card Envelope Dies to die cut 3 envelopes out of colored cardstock. I also die cut some snowflakes, leaves, berries and flowers using the Woolen Mitten Dies. I used the Build-A-Tag #2 Dies to die cut 3 hole reinforcements, I assembled the envelopes and used a hole puncher to create holes for the twine. 

I die cut the Brilliant Banner 3 Dies 3 times out of a red cardstock. I stamped sentiments from the Inside Greetings - Holiday and Feeling Frosty stamp sets with Versamark Watermark ink onto the banners before white heat embossing. I assembled the banners and attached them to the tags with liquid adhesive before adding some highlights with a white gel pen.

I decorated the envelopes and added some highlights with a white gel pen and some yellow Nuvo Drops for the center of the flowers. Finally, I added some twine to each of the tags. And now they are ready to be added to a present, gift bag, wine bottle or hung up on the Christmas tree.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Big Panda Cards with Hanh Nguyen

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh. I am thrilled to be back to Guest Design for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I am sharing a couple of fun birthday cards that I made with the adorable Big Panda set. I love this series of larger sized critters! They are so versatile and can be used individually as well as paired up with critters from other previously released sets.

Happy Birthday!  For my first card, I paired this super cute panda with the Gift Card Envelope set to create a complete birthday theme with card, present and all. 

I stamped the panda from the Big Panda stamp set and the present from the Holiday Hugs Stamp set onto some Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Big Panda Dies and Holiday Hugs Dies to die cut them out. I love that these bears have a special die that allows you to die cut the arms to allow the her to hold a present. I colored them with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

I used the Gift Card Envelope to die cut the envelope and a few flowers out of white, pink and teal cardstock. I assembled the envelope with liquid adhesive.The smaller die from the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies was used to die cut a little notecard to slip into the envelope. This was intended to be a frame die but I attached all of the parts onto a slightly smaller piece of paper in order to keep all of the parts together. I trimmed the bottom so that the notecard was just short enough to fit into the envelope. 

For the sentiment, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Big Bold Greetings Stamp set with a pink ink and die cut it out with the coordinating Big Bold Greetings Dies before adhering it onto the top of the notecard. 

The outer die of the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Die was used to die cut a white panel. I adhered the envelope and bear and decorated the panel with some of the die cut flowers. Finally, I adhered the panel onto a piece of teal cardstock before adhering it to a white cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").

Happy Birthday From All of Us! For my second card, I created a Polaroid-style selfie photo card featuring the adorable Big Panda and some of his bear friends from the Holiday Hugs and Panda Party Stamp. I thought that this would be a fun way to create a card from the whole family.

I stamped and colored the bears and accessories from the Big Panda Stamp, the Holiday Hugs Stamp and the Panda Party Stamp sets in the same manner as I did for the first card. The coordinating Big Panda Dies, Holiday Hugs Dies, and Panda Party Dies were used to die cut them out.

For the Polaroid-style frame, I took a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and used the third largest die from the Stitched Square Dies set to cut out the square opening. I pieced together the sentiment using the words from the Panda Party Stamp, Everyday Greetings Stamps and Inside Greetings - Holiday Stamps. The sentiment was stamped onto the frame with Versafine Onyx Black and Versafine Satin Red inks.

For the background, I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and lightly ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I added a few dots with a Copic marker (B00) and a white gel pen to resemble confetti. I used the Polaroid frame to layout the colored images. Once I achieved the layout that I wanted, I adhered the colored images to the inked panel and trimmed off any of the excess parts hanging off the edges. I adhered the Polaroid frame to the front of the card before adhering the entire panel to a white cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
