Grad Cat Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and we are wrapping up our graduation themed projects for the week featuring the cute Grad Cat Stamps. I love how several of the new products from the Summer Release work so well for graduation cards!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Grad Cat Graduation Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring A Cut Above, Notebook Dies, Woo Hoo, Bright Balloon Dies)

I started this mini slimline card by cutting a panel for the card front 3” x 6” from white cardstock and inking it with Uncharted Mariner Distress ink. I lightly inked the top and applied more pressure with a blending brush towards the bottom of the panel. Next, I die-cut the notebook paper die from the Notebook Photo Corners Dies twice from light blue cardstock and stamped the graph paper/grid stamp from the A Cut Above Stamps in dark teal ink on both die-cuts. I adhered them at angles across the panel and trimmed the excess along the edges.

Next, I die-cut a banner from the Notebook Photo Corners Dies twice from dark yellow cardstock and white cardstock. I inked the white banners with Uncharted Mariner Distress ink and heat embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder. I then layered the banners slightly overlapping and adhered them to the card front, trimming the excess from the edges.

I die-cut the star balloon from the Bright Balloons Dies from white cardstock and inked it with Scattered Straw and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. I tied some dark yellow embroidery floss to the balloon and adhered it in the top right corner.

To finish, I stamped the cat, books and stars from the Grad Cat Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I also stamped and colored a diploma from the Woo Hoo Stamps and die-cut it using the coordinating dies.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.

Grad Cat Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a colorful graduation card for you today! It’s that time of the year when we all need such a congratulations card. Mine is for my niece who will receive her bachelor’s degree in bioengineering sciences. I am sure she will love this sweet cat with the hat and diploma!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Grad Cat Graduation Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Woo Hoo, Happy Thoughts, Scalloped Oval Mat Dies, Crepe Paper Streamer Dies)

My white card panel is dry embossed with the Sunburst Embossing Folder. I really love the extra texture this gives to a simple base. To highlight my scene I die cut the largest oval from the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 set and turned it into a frame with a smaller oval die from an infinity set. The sweet pink paper is from the Gingham Pastels pack.

Next, I stamped and die cut all my images for this card using the Cat Grad and Woo Hoo sets. These products work so well together! I colored everything with my Copic markers.

As an extra festive detail I also die cut three Crepe Paper Streamers and used the same markers to make them match the color scheme. I added some golden and white details with gel pens from my stash.

As a sentiment, I combined the ‘happy graduation’ from Happy Thoughts which is a very versatile set to have at hand for lots of occasions.

I glued my embossed panel to a card base and started layering all the images, creating a pile of books for the sweet cat to sit on. I tucked the diploma under the tail and added the streamers to the background. Lastly, I adhered the sentiment and some Gold Jewels.

I hope you got inspired to make some fun grad cards with this cute Grad Cat! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Garden Critters Cards with Tammy Stark

Hello friends! Tammy here! I'm so excited to be guest designing for Sunny Studio for the new, adorable Spring release! My projects feature the new set, Garden Critters. This set is so fun, happy, and Springy, it will be sure to bring smiles!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Garden Critters Spring Cards by Tammy Stark (featuring WooHoo, Slimline Dies)

For my first project, I made an A2 card, creating a fun scene to showcase all the darling little critters. To begin, I stamped the images from Garden Friends, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Garden Critters Dies. The tree branch and leaves is from the Woo Hoo Stamp SetCoordinating Dies

Next, using the new Spring Fever Paper, I cut the blue dot patterned paper 4 1/4 X 5 1/2" and attached it to an A2 card base. I then cut a white mat, just slightly smaller, and then layered a smaller rectangle using the rainbow plaid patterned paper on top and attached them to the card base.

Next, I die cut an oval from Bristol cardstock and ink blended it with Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I splattered the background with water, then added some Salty Ocean ink to the water and added some darker splatters to add some dimension. Using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, I die cut a grassy border from green cardstock, inking the bottom with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink, and attached it to the card.

I arranged the stamped images onto the card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I stamped the punny sentiment onto a white cardstock banner using black ink to complete my card.

Next up is a fun set of mini cards, perfect for Valentine's Day, or just a little note for someone special.

To begin, I die cut Bristol smooth cardstock 3 times using the Mini Mat & Tag 1 Dies.  I taped off the edges with washi tape and ink blended the background with Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks, splattering some watered down Salvaged Patina to create some interest. Next, using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, I die cut a grassy border from green cardstock, inking the bottom with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink, trimming to fit, and attached it to the card.

Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the images from the following sets:
Garden Critters / Coordinating Dies
Woo Hoo Coordinating Dies
Meow & Furever Coordinating Dies

I stamped the sentiments onto the background using black ink, then attached the stamped images using foam tape on some for dimension. Lastly, I cut mats, approximately 3 1/4 X 4 1/2", using patterned paper (Classic GinghamStriped Silly, and Holiday Cheer) and attached them to a white card base. I then glued the scalloped mats to the patterned cards bases to complete my set of mini cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you next time!

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Tammy Stark

Hello friends! Tammy here. I'm thrilled to be guest designing today with Sunny Studio's newest release. I absolutely adore this new release and have a few projects to share using one of my favorite sets, Baby Elephants.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Baby Elephants Baby Cards by Tammy Stark (featuring Slimline Dies)

For my first project, I created a pair of baby cards. How sweet are these images? So cute, I had to make both a baby girl and baby boy version!

To begin, I stamped the images from Baby Elephants, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the colored images using the Baby Elephants Dies

Next, I die cut 2 white scalloped mats using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I then cut the smaller panels from Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended the backgrounds with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar (baby girl card) and Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass (baby boy card). I then stamped the sentiments onto the cards using black ink and arranged the colored images onto the cards, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I adhered my completed card to a white card base to finish up.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Graduation Cards by Tammy Stark (featuring Woo Hoo, Tag Topper Dies, Fancy Frame Dies)

I just love how versatile this stamp set is! I had fun creating some grad themed projects with Baby Elephants.

To begin, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:
Baby Elephants Coordinating Dies
Woo Hoo Coordinating Dies

My first project is a fun box card. I began by die cutting a basic box die using black cardstock and assembled it. The back panel of the box is ink blended with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks, which I then splattered with some white and black acrylic paint that was thinned with water. Next, I cut some cloud borders using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies from white cardstock and trimmed them to fit the width of the box. I then cut a rectangle panel using the blue patterned paper from the Classic Gingham 6X6 Paper, matted it with white cardstock, and attached it to the front of the box. I stamped the sentiment from Woo Hoo onto the smallest pennant from the Slimline Pennant Dies and cut to fit the front of the box. Lastly, I arranged the stamped images, attaching some with foam tape for dimension.

I also created some coordinating gift card holders; perfect for presenting a gift card or money to the grad!

To begin, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:
Baby Elephants Coordinating Dies
Woo Hoo Coordinating Dies

Next, I created the gift card holders simply by cutting a piece of black cardstock 3 1/2 X 7", scoring at 3 1/2" from the bottom. I created the tag shape using the Tag Topper Die - Traditional. I then folded on the score line and placed red line tape on the sides to create a pocket. Next, I cut 2 white scalloped square frames using the Fancy Frames Square Dies. I attached the frames over a square of Bristol smooth cardstock, ink blended with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink, which I then splattered with some white and black acrylic paint that was thinned with water. I stamped the sentiment from Woo Hoo in black ink, then attached the stamped images using foam tape. Lastly, I finished off the gift card holders with a fun tassel, made from embroidery floss.

Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks to Sunny Studio for having me! I hope you enjoyed my projects!
