Sydney Alphabet Focused Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here with a sweet baby card featuring the versatile Sydney Alphabet dies. I always love to create personal messages and these dies are perfect for that!

After creating a simple card base, I cut a white panel with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Stripes die which was then dry embossed with the Lots Of Dots embossing folder. I used liquid glue to adhere this piece to the card base.

My focal point consists of a large dark blue Oval (Scalloped Oval Mat 1). On top of this I am going to layer a white oval piece (Stitched Ovals) that will be turned into a sky scene with a blue ink and cloud stencil from my stash.

After mounting these two ovals to the embossed background, I selected a cutie from the Baby Elephant set. As always I used my Copics for some soft coloring, adding highlights with a white gel pen.

Then it was time to work on my combined sentiment. I spelled the word ‘baby’ with the Sydney Alphabet dies and glued them after the stamped ‘welcome’ word which was also taken from the Baby Elephant set. To complete the night sky, I added loads of dark blue stars, cut with several dies from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles. I scattered them around the main image to complete the design.

Baby Elephants Card Set with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some ice cream-themed cards for Summer using our Baby Elephant Stamps.

For my first card today I have a stars and moon baby-themed card using the Baby Elephant Stamps. I started by die-cutting a stitched scalloped frame using our Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies and then layered it with a Stitched Rectangle Die cut from a deep blue patterned paper from our Gingham Jewel Tones Paper pack. For my greeting, I used white embossing powder to emboss the sentiment "I Love You to the Moon and Back" from our Lovey Dovey Stamps. I then arranged my sleeping elephant cradled in the moon with the polka-dot clouds and star balloons stamped with the optional happy faces.

For my second card featuring the Baby Elephant Stamps today, I have an encouragement card pairing the elephants with the umbrella from the set. I stamped six of them, colored in solid pastel colors, before adding small white polka-dots with a white gel pen. For my card base, I die-cut the largest 4.5" Stitched Square Die and then matted it with a 5" lavender polka-dot print from our Spring Fever Paper pack. I stamped the greeting "You are my sunshine on a cloudy day" from our Sunny Sentiments Stamps in the top, center and then scattered the umbrellas around it like they had been picked up in a gust of wind. I also sprinkled 5 pale pink hearts cut from white cardstock and colored with Copic markers to fill in some empty spaces from our Basic Mini Shape 2 Dies.

Baby Elephant Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am making a mini slimline card with the sweet Baby Elephants stamps and die set! I always try to have cards for several occasions in my stash and this set is just perfect for a new baby.

To start, I cut a white rectangle background panel to the size of a mini slimline using a die from my stash. As an extra layer I also created a white panel with one of the Rounded Rectangle Mats. Now it was time to choose one of the adorable elephants, stamp the image on the mat and enjoy some Copic coloring.

Next, I glued both pieces together with liquid glue and pulled a sky stencil for ink blending with Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide. I used a small blending brush and was able to avoid stenciling over the image. Of course, you can always cut a mask, but these tiny brushes work very well. I added some purple dots with a Copic marker for extra depth.

Then it was time to select the letters to spell the word ‘baby’ from a purple paper (Hayley Lowercase Alphabet). I also used the Hello word die cut (Dots & Stripes Pastel). By placing the rounded mat near the bottom of the mini slimline panel, I kept room to add both words above the image.

Next, I created a white card base with another die from my stash and added the cloudy panels with foam tape. As a final embellishment, I cut several sizes of stars (Comic Strip Speech Bubbles), colored them with the same yellow copics as the moon and spread them across the card. This makes the design even more dreamy and sweet.
