Happy Owlidays Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina with another idea for a cute Christmas card! Today we are creating a holiday wreath with the adorable Happy Owlidays stamp and die set. I have always been a fan of cute owls and this set has three of them! If you would like to make multiples of this design you can switch out the owl for some variation!

This project was made with red, pink and teal colors, such a festive color combo in my opinion. After creating a simple white card base, I cut a teal background panel from the Striped Silly pack with the outer die from the Rounded Rectangle Mat set. While I had these dies out, I used the second largest one to create a white panel.

To add extra interest and dimension, I ran both panels through my die cutting machine using the Cable Knit embossing folder. This folder is perfect for all your winter cards! I glued both panels to the white card base with liquid glue.

Next, I stamped one of the cute owls and the wreath from the Happy Owlidays stamp set. The Santa hat was taken from Alpaca Holiday. I had fun coloring these images with my Copics. As always on my Christmas cards, I added a lot of snow with a white gel pen.

The beautiful large Merry Christmas sentiment (Holiday Greetings) was stamped with a red ink from my stash. It was the perfect fit for this design!

After mounting the wreath and sentiment to the panel with foam tape, I selected a few snowflakes made with the Snowflake Circle Frame die which is an absolute must have for your holiday projects. So easy to create a bunch of snowflakes in one pass through the machine! Lastly, I embellished the card by adding a Red Zircon Jewel to the center of each snowflake.

Designer's Choice: Snowmen in Sweaters Card with Leanne

Hello there! Leanne here today. I'm sharing a winter scene on a mini slimline card featuring some adorable images from the Snowmen in Sweaters stamp set.

Here are the Copic marker colors I used to color the snowmen and tree images:
dark green - G28, G29
light green - G02, G05
pink - RV53, RV55
shading for snow on trees and snowmen bodies - C0, C1, C3
rosy cheeks - R30
carrot nose - YR12, YR16

I hand cut the snowy hills. There's three layers and I tried to vary the slopes of each layer. I used Catherine Pooler Tranquil ink to shade the hills and to color the background. I generously splattered the background with white paint for a very snowy look.

Inside Greetings Seasons Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, I am Tina and today I made another fun shaped card! Since the holiday season is approaching quickly, I opted for a festive sparkly mitten combined with a great sentiment set the Inside Greetings Seasons stamp.

I started this project by creating a white card base using the large die from the Woolen Mitten set. After layering this base with the same shape cut from a red/pink knitted paper (Sweater Weather), I created the cuff from a matching striped paper (Joyful Holiday). These two patterns work so well together!

This card is a festive card, you must add some sparkle and shine! I browsed through my stash and found a pretty pink glitter paper for the trim (Woolen Mitten set).

The same paper was used to make three large snowflakes. From some scrap white paper I created extra trim, a button (Woolen Mitten set) and 3 smaller snowflakes (Snowflake Circle Frame die). That die is such a staple piece in my Christmas crafting supplies! I layered the small snowflakes on top of the large ones.

The sentiment was selected from the Inside Greetings Seasons stamp set and stamped with a pink ink from my stash. This phrase comes as one stamp, so I did a little ‘stamp surgery’ and carefully cut between to the two lines. That doesn’t hurt your stamp and you can always use it put together again on a block or in your stamping tool. I tried masking first but that didn’t work as I didn’t get a good impression.

Now it is time to assemble the mitten starting with the cuff and trim pieces. Next, I placed the large snowflakes in a triangle shape with the two sentiment strips in between. I threaded some pink twine through the buttonholes and glued the button to the trim border. A few Pure White Jewels were added to the middle of each snowflake.

Diagonal Stripes Stencil Focused Card with Leanne

Hello there! Leanne here and I'm sharing a playful holiday card featuring a stenciled plaid frame with a few of the Roly Poly Penguins peeking out. I created the plaid pattern for the frame with a stencil. The Diagonal & Straight Stripes stencil is a set of two, which includes the Straight Stripes and Diagonal Stripes. I used the Diagonal Stripes stencil for this card. 

Here are the Sunny Studio Supplies I used to create this card:

Diagonal Stripes Stencil - To create a plaid pattern, I stenciled the stripes with light green ink onto an A2 size white card stock panel. I then turned the stencil so the stripes were going in the opposite direction and stenciled the panel again with the same green ink. After stenciling, I sprayed the panel with Cracked Pistachio Distress Spritz which gives it a speckled, shimmery finish. 

Stitched Ovals dies - I used the second largest die in the set to create the window in the plaid panel. 

Roly Poly Penguins stamp set and coordinating dies - For the penguin and candy cane images. 

Season's Greetings stamp set and coordinating dies - For the pine sprig and berry images.

Inside Greetings Seasons stamp set - For the stamped sentiment.

Snowflake Circle Frame dies - For the little snowflake and star embellishments. 

Copic colors used to color the penguins and their accessories: black & shading on white areas - N0, N2, N4, N6, N8; orange - YR12, YR16; red & pink - R00, R20, R21, R22, R34, R27; green - G20, G24, G28

I started this design with a white A2 card base. In the center of the card front, I applied the same light green ink I used for the stenciling. I then adhered the plaid frame with thin foam tape so it would be popped up. I tucked the penguins slightly under the frame edge so they would look to be peeking out. I left an open space to stamp the sentiment directly onto the background. I added the pine, berries, and snowflake to finish.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Snowmen In Sweaters Card by Tammy Stark

Hi friends, Tammy Stark here with you today! I'm so excited to be guest designing with Sunny Studio for the holidays! The holiday release is full of adorableness with something for everyone! I created a card using one of my favorite sets, Snowmen in Sweaters. I love everything snowmen, so this will be a set I reach for year after year!

To begin, I stamped Snowmen in Sweaters, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the images with the Snowmen in Sweaters Dies. I just love the big, bold sentiment, which was stamped in a vibrant red ink. I wanted to create a fun snow globe scene, so I used the largest die from the Stitched Arch Dies to create the snow globe base. I lightly inked it with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink, then attached the stamped images with foam tape. I splattered white acrylic paint onto the snow globe scene to create a super snowy effect. I then cut a thin rectangle from kraft paper to create the snow globe base.

Next, I cut a piece of pink cardstock, just slightly smaller than A2 size and embossed it with the Buffalo Plaid Straight Die. I just love the subtle effect and dimension the Buffalo Plaid die gives to the background! I then attached the pink embossed background to a white A2 base, then adhered the snow globe using foam tape for dimension.

Lastly, I added some white snowflakes, die cut using the Lacy Snowflake Dies and Snowflake Circle Frame Die to complete my card.

Let's Chill Card with Tina: Black Friday Exclusive!

Hello crafters, it is Tina with a cute Holiday card in which the two adorable seals from Let’s Chill are the stars of the show! This set is a Black Friday exclusive and will not be available to purchase for the remainder of 2024.

My design is a shaped card using the largest of the Stitched Arch Dies. After cutting a panel from white card stock, I used the same die to create my card base. For a bold and dramatic background I blended Broken China and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxides and I was pleasantly surprised to see how well they work together! I splattered the panel with water and white paint and put it aside to dry.

Next, I stamped and cut the two cute seals and also two ice blocks (Bear Hugs, Winter Scenes) for them to sit on. As usual, I colored with my Copics and added white gel pen accents.

My sentiment is a large ‘Merry Christmas’ from the Holiday Greetings stamp and die set. I love the scripty font and also the size, it fills the complete sky portion of this card. After putting the seals in place with foam tape, I adhered the sentiment (I cut three layers and glued them together for dimension).

To add extra icy elements, I sprinkled white snowflakes across the scene. These were cut with an all-time favorite die (Snowflake Circle Frame) which I use a lot in my Christmas card making. I glued some Iridescent Clear Jewels to center of the snowflakes for that extra festive bling!
