Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share a number of cool sweet treat cards using our Two Scoops Stamps and Perfect Popsicle Stamps.
While I had the popsicles set up in my MISTI tool, I decided to stamp a rainbow of Perfect Popsicle Stamps. I kept this card super simple, allowing the cute popsicles to shine. I added a 1" wide strip of green cardstock, die-cutting the top edge with the stitched die from our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I then stamped and heat-embossed my big, bold greeting using our Color Me Happy Stamps. The perfect final touch was a stitched heart from our Window Trio Circle Dies.
Switching gears, I have an ice cream cone card featuring the layering images from our Two Scoops Stamps. This is one of our earliest layering sets and is still one of my favorites. Back when this set came out, I had pre-stamped many of the images, so my goal today was to work with what I had and make as many cards as possible with the stamped images I had left over so they dictated my color schemes.
I mounted my cones onto a pale pink square trimmed along the top and bottom with the stitched edge from our Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I then used that same die set to cut a scalloped lace edge from ivory cardstock to match the vanilla ice cream. I added a brown polka-dot beneath each scallop from our Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper and heat-embossed my "What's the scoop?" greeting in white onto a red Brilliant Banner 1 Die. Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to my red cherries and syrup, dropping red and pink Seed Beads into the glossy liquid before they dried to look like sprinkles in the syrup.
This next card uses a similar Neapolitan ice cream color scheme and the soft serve top from our Two Scoops Stamps. Once again, I have three cones, but this time, I framed each cone with a 1.25" wide strip of patterned paper cut from our Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper and Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper packs. I wanted the bottom of each strip to look like a giant scallop along the bottom of my card, but I didn't have a die that makes this shape, so I cheated by adding my sentiment strip over the top to hide the seam and pieced together separate 1.25" stitched circles from our Stitched Circles Small Dies. I added a stitched edge to each of my other strips using our Slimline Basic Border Dies to make the stitching look continuous.
For my sentiment strip, I used the pink grid print from our Gingham Pastels Paper pack, adding the same stitched edge along the top and bottom. I then added a thin ricrac edge in cream cardstock to match the vanilla ice cream using our Ric Rac Border Dies. Lastly, I pieced together a customized sentiment taking the word "sweet" from our Candy Shoppe Stamps and pairing it with the "have a" and "birthday" from our Silly Sloths Stamps.
I am frequently asked which ink colors I used for my layered images so I have shared what I used today for these examples (from lightest to darkest).
