Summer Sweets Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm super happy to be back with this bright and cheerful birthday card featuring some super cute bubble teas from Summer Sweets. How fun it was to color them all in a rainbow color palette!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Sweets Birthday Card by Marine Simon (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies)

I started off by stamping eight bubble teas using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all with the matching die, colored everything with my Ohuhu markers, and once the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

For the card base, I cut two panels using papers from the Surprise Party paper pack. The polka dot panel measures 5 x 3,75 inches and I cut it with the largest Stitched Rectangle, I attached it to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches chevron panel using 1mm foam tape, and then to a white card base.

Next I attached four bubble teas on the upper part of my card and four at the bottom, in a rainbow order, using 1mm foam squares, and then I worked on my greeting. I white heat embossed "Happy birthday" from Plane Awesome on black cardstock, cut it into a slim banner and attached that banner right below the orange and yellow bubble teas using 2mm foam squares.

I cut letters out of vellum and out of gold mirror cardstock using the Chloe Alphabet die set to create the punny word "Bes-tea". I attached the gold mirror letters to the vellum ones using liquid glue, shifting the letters to get a vellum border around the gold letters, and then I stuck those letters to my card using 2mm foam squares.

And that's it! I hope that this card has inspired you to use your brightest markers and papers to make extra fun projects! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time.

Tiny Dancers Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm happy to be back with a Black Swan ballet themed card featuring the Tiny Dancers. This ballet is my all-time favorite, I like the story and the music, so I definitely had to turn my dancers into swans.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tiny Dancers Card by Marine Simon (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Fancy Frame Square Dies, Stitched Square Dies)

I started off by stamping five Tiny Dancers on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers and my Graph'it brush, using light greys for the white swans and dark greys for the black swan. And when the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Next I cut a square panel out of a Classic Sunburst black paper using the largest Stitched Square die, and I added lots of textures to my piece of paper. I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and used a slim brush to add splatters all over the panel to bring brightness. I did the same with black soot distress ink for contrast, and finally added splatters of brushed pewter mica spray for sparkles.

Once my panel was dry, I cut a scalloped frame out of white shimmer cardstock using the largest Fancy Frames Square die, and attached that frame to my panel using 1mm foam squares.

For my greeting, I first heat embossed "When you stumble, make it part of the" from Tiny Dancers in white, on the upper part of my panel. Next I cut the word "Dance" twice using the Chloe Alphabet die set, out of black glittery cardstock and out of white cardstock. I glued each black shiny letter to its matching white letter using liquid glue, shifting them a little bit to create a white border, and then I attached the letters using 1mm foam squares.

I stuck my Tiny Dancers using 1mm foam squares for the ones in the back and 2mm foam squares for the ones on the front, glued a scattering of small silver star confetti, and finally attached my panel to a white card base.

And that's it! I really enjoyed making this card, and I hope that this simple design has inspired you to maybe recreate it or use a totally different color palette to match the tastes and personality of your card's recipient. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Strawberry Patch Card with Hahn

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a sweet birthday card to share with you featuring the absolutely adorable mice from Harvest Mice, the Strawberry Patch Dies and the Build-a-Bowl Dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Strawberry Patch Die Focused Card by Hahn Nguyen (featuring Build-A-Bowl Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies, Harvest Mice)

I used the Strawberry Patch Dies to die cut several strawberries and leaves out of Bristol Smooth white cardstock. Then I used the Strawberry Patch Dies again and the Build-a-Bowl Dies to diecut a few flowers and the bowl out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress inks were used to "color" the strawberries and leaves. A Copic marker (Y08) was used to color the center of the flowers. I assembled the strawberries and adhered all but two inside the bowl.

I stamped the images from the Harvest Mice Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Harvest Mice Dies to die cut them out. I also die cut the letters for the word SWEET out of white cardstock twice using the Chloe Alphabet Dies. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen. The letters from the word SWEET were layered and adhered to each other with liquid adhesive.

COPIC COLORS:
Mice: E50/51/53/33, R000/30, R20, W5
Wagon: BG10/11/13/15, C0/1, T7
SWEET: R22/24

Sunny Studio Stamps: Strawberry Patch Die Focused Card by Hahn Nguyen (featuring Build-A-Bowl Dies, Stitched Rectangle Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies, Harvest Mice)

For the background, I die cut another piece of Neenah white cardstock with the largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I lightly inked the center with some Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks to add a bit of color to the background. Once dry, I added a few dots with a Copic marker (RV10) for a bit of interest.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "wishing you a" and "birthday" part of the sentiment from the Panda Party Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the inked panel. I adhered the SWEET letters onto the inked panel with liquid adhesive. A white gel pen was used to add some highlights to the letters.

Next, I adhered the bowl of strawberries onto the panel. The mice, wagon and the final 2 strawberries were adhered to the panel with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I adhered a piece of craft foam to the back of the panel before adhering it to a piece of red cardstock and a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Big Panda Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun summery card to share with you featuring the Big Panda and Two Scoops sets.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Panda Summer Themed Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Two Scoops, Stitched Square Dies, Scalloped Sqaure Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

I stamped the images from the Big Panda stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Big Panda Dies to diecut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bears: C3/5/7, E40/41/81, R20
Hat: B000/00 BG45, RV00/02/13, YG01/03, C1
Sunglasses: B00 BG45, T7

To create the ice cream, I used the fun Two Scoops stamp set. This cool set offers several different ice cream, cone and topping options. The stamps allow you to layer the ink colors to create a more realistic and dimensional look. I used Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks to create my flavors. Once the inks are dried, the Two Scoops Dies can be used to die cut them out. I love that these cones tucked perfectly into the arm cutouts of the Big Panda.

For the background, I die cut another piece of Neenah white cardstock with the largest die from the Stitched Square Dies. I lightly inked the center with some Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks to add a bit of color to the background. Next, I diecut of piece of teal cardstock with the largest die from the Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies set. I adhered the panels to each other and then onto the front of a white square cardbase (5.25" x 5.25").

For the sentiment, I partially stamped the "let's" part of the sentiment from the Let's Chill Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of white cardstock. (Note: The Let's Chill set won't officially go on sale until Sunny Studio's 10th Birthday in late August) I trimmed it out with a paper trimmer. Next, I used the Chloe Alphabet Dies to die cut the necessary letters twice out of black cardstock. I layered and adhered the letters to each other and then onto the card front with liquid adhesive. A white gel pen was used to add some highlights to the letters. Finally, I adhered the bears to the card front with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.

Balloon Rides Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and I had so much fun making this sweet ‘Good Luck’ card with the adorable critters from the Balloon Rides Stamp and die set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Balloon Rides Good Luck Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Stitched Circle Dies, Fancy Frame Dies)

After creating a white card base, I added some texture to the corners with a dotted stencil from my stash and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide and put that aside to work on a layered circle piece.

I needed to figure out the size of the inner circle, so I started by cutting all the letters for the ‘Good Luck’ sentiment with the Chloe Alphabet dies. Using some soft pastels in pink and teal from the Flirty Flowers papers as my top layer and cutting additional letters from white card stock to create that ‘chipboard’ look by stacking them all together. Combining dies from the Stitched Circles Small an Stitched Circles Large sets worked great for the look I was going for.

I also love a scalloped border, which was obtained by using the outer die from the Fancy Frames Circles. This piece comes apart and I was able to sandwich one of the white circles between the two layers. For my smallest white circle, I repeated the pink dots with the stencil to mirror my card base.

I glued the stacked circles to my card base and added the letters in a playful way, which adds to the fun character of the card. Last but definitely not least, I stamp and colored (Copic Markers) the cute critters (Balloon Rides Stamp) and scattered them around the words. To finish this sweet project, I glued a ring of Aquamarine Jewels on top of the pink scalloped border.

I love mixing and matching sets and I hope you got inspired by this idea! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Tulip Path Background Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with an Easter card to share with you showcasing the beautiful Tulip Path Background Stamps. This gorgeous scene can be an easy backdrop for a variety of cards.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tulip Path Background Easter Themed Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Inside Greetings Belated Birthday, Stitched Square Dies)

I stamped the images from the Tulip Path Background Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Tulip Path Background Dies to die cut the bunnies and butterflies out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bunnies: E50/51/53/3
Flowers: RV00/02/04, YG01/03
Trees: RV00/02/04, E21/23
Grass: G20/24
Mountains: BV000/00
Windmill: E23, C3
Path: E41/42
Sky: B0000/000

I used the largest die from the Stitched Square Dies to diecut the panel.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tulip Path Background Easter Themed Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Inside Greetings Belated Birthday, Stitched Square Dies)

For the sentiment, I die cut the letters for EASTER using the Chloe Alphabet Dies 3 times out of white cardstock. I stacked and adhered the layers together. I took a strip of vellum (1.25" x 5.5") and stamped the Happy sentiment from the Inside Greetings Belated Birthday Stamps on it before adhering the word Easter onto it. I wrapped and folded the excess to the back of my colored panel.

I adhered a piece of craft foam to the back of the colored panel before adhering it to a piece of white cardstock and slightly larger green cardstock. The panels were adhered to a white 5.5" square cardbase. Finally, I adhered the bunnies and butterflies with foam tape for a bit of interest and dimension.
