Harvest Mice & Fall Friends Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi here today, popping in to share some fall cards featuring our Fall Friends Stamps and Harvest Mice Stamps.

My first card combines the fox, pumpkins, and greetings in the foreground from the Fall Friends Stamps, with the trees from the Woodsy Autumn Stamps, and the truck with the smaller fox and the load of pumpkins from the Truckloads of Love Stamps. To frame my scene I used the outer zig-zag edged die from the Frilly Frames Chevron Dies and blended a light amount of Broken China Distress Ink for my Sky with Tea Dye ink for the ground.

For my second card, I created a scene using the mice, pumpkins, wheelbarrow, and corn stalks from the Harvest Mice Stamps. This time, I framed my scene with a smaller zig-zag edged mat using the Mini Mat & Tag 4 Dies and masked off the edges with masking material before inking my sky and ground like I had for my first card. I repeatedly stamped the corn stalk directly onto my scene at different heights with VersaFine Clair Verdant Green Ink. I chose the smaller mat size so that more of the cute orange gingham print from the Critter Country Paper pack would be visible in my background.

Sliding Window Die Focused Card with Amanda

Hey, hey crafty friends, Amanda here! Fall is JUST around the corner and I’m getting out ALL the Fall stamps! Today, I wanted to share an interactive card I made using the Sliding Window Dies! This card will be perfect for my sister who has a Fall birthday coming up!

To create this card, I opened up the instructions document that is SO helpful when using the Sliding Window Dies. I actually printed it out and folded it up to fit inside the die package for easier access next time I use it!

I started by choosing 2 papers from the Critter Country Paper. Following the instructions, I trimmed the polka dot paper to 4.25” x 5.5”. I trimmed the plaid paper to 4-7/8” x 3-1/4”. 

Next, I ran the polka dot panel through my die cutting machine with the large rectangle die and the notch die. I secured the dies in place with some low tack tape so they didn’t budge at all. Then, I gently scored the lines. I added some double sided tape to attach the plaid paper. Then, applied more doube sided tape to secure the large panel to the card base.

Next, I trimmed my background paper from the Critter Country Paper to 3” x 4.25”. I glued only the bottom half of the paper to the card front. 

My adorable little images are from the Harvest Mice Stamps. I stamped everything with a Copic-friendly black ink using my MISTI. Then, I colored all the images in with Copic markers. I added a few highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. Then, I die cut all the images out with the coordinating dies.  

I stamped my sentiment on a scrap piece of white cardstock and then trimmed them down into strips. I used scissors to create the banner edge. I put 3D foam squares behind the images and sentiment and added them to the front of the card. I put my birthday sentiment on a clear acrylic block and stamped it onto the pull-put plaid panel. Then, I punched a small hole through the end of the panel and added some baker’s twine to it.

I just love the interactive element of this card and it’s SO much easier to make than you'd think! I hope you find some time to get crafty today and that this card has inspired you!!

Harvest Mice Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fall themed card featuring the absolutely adorable Harvest Mice. I absolutely adore these super cute mice. This fun set comes with so many harvest themed accessories: pumpkins, corn, corn stalk, apples and even the cutest little sweater for the sweater weather season.

I started by creating the layout. I used 3 pieces of cardstock: Bristol Smooth (3.75" x 4.75"), white (4" x 5.25"), and kraft (4.25" x 5.5"). I cut the Bristol Smooth cardstock in half to create two scenes for my card. I used the Slimline Nature Borders Dies to die cut a piece of clear acetate to make my own cloud stencil. I used my homemade stencil, Dried Marigold, Carved Pumpkin, Ripe Persimmon and Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide inks to ink blend the backgrounds for the two scenes. For the bottom scene, I also used the Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide ink to stamp some corn stalks from the Harvest Mice Stamp set onto the background. I adhered the white and kraft colored panels to each other. A piece of craft foam was added to the back of each of the two scenes before they were adhered to the white and kraft panels.

I stamped the images from the Harvest Mice Stamps and a couple of the larger pumpkins from the Too Cute to Spook Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Harvest Mice Dies, and Too Cute to Spook Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

For the sentiment, I used one of the banner dies from the Stitched Rectangles Dies set to die cut a sentiment strip out of kraft cardstock. I stamped the "pumpkin kisses & harvest wishes" sentiment from the Harvest Mice Stamps set onto it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I adhered the sentiment strip and colored images onto the inked panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").

Harvest Mice Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and I am so excited for the change of the season! Autumn is coming and I made a card with the adorable Harvest Mice stamp and die set.

Not only are these the cutest mice ever, they also are the perfect size and fit for the fun Staggered Circles die. I love having this kind of die in my stash since it is so helpful to create a beautiful design with just one pass through the die cut machine. No measuring or overthinking placement, this die does all the work for you!

My panel was created from a piece of white card stock and cut with a mini slimline die from my stash. Then I cut the five circles with the Staggered Circles die, letting the outer circles overlap with the edge of the panel. Next, I removed the circles and used a large striped stencil to apply the pattern with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide and a blending brush.

After creating a matching white card base, I added the striped panel and the 5 white circles. Then it was time to make mini scenes for each circle. I browsed through my stash selected 3 cute mice, some pumpkins and apples, leaves, mushrooms and an acorn from the Harvest Mice and Fall Friends. I used some autumnal Copic colors and a white gel pen for highlights.

Then I played around with placement and mounted the images to the circles with foam tape. Finally, I stamped a combined sentiment (Harvest Mice) on a white piece of card stock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. To match the pumpkins, I scattered a few Orange Topaz Jewels across the card.

Harvest Mice Card with Amanda

Hey, hey crafty friends, Amanda here! Are you dreaming of cooler fall weather?! Fall has been on my mind and I can’t stop making Fall cards! Today, I’m sharing this fun card I made for you using the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies frame that was leftover from my card I shared last week.  

To create this card, I gathered an A2 card base and the Critter Country Paper. I choose a piece of paper that looked like a background for my scene. I trimmed the background paper down to 4.25”x5.5” and glued it to my card base. Then, I glued the frame to that, as well.

Next, I stamped out some of the images from the Harvest Mice and Fall Scenes stamps. I stamped extra rakes and leaves from the Fall Scenes stamps so each mouse would have a rake and there’d be plenty of leaves to rake!

I colored the images with Copic markers. Here are the colors I used:

Leaves: YR15, YR21, Y02, Y35, YR04, YR07, E30, E35, E37, E43, E44, E47, R56, R59, E04
Left mouse: W00, W1, W3, W5, W7, W9, R81, R85
Middle Mouse: E70, E71, E74, E77, E79, R81, R85, B00, B02, B05
Right Mouse: T0, T2, T4, T6, T7, R81, R83, R85

After coloring them, I added some dots and highlights with a white Gelly Roll pen. For my sentiment, I stamped the word “mice” first in Catherine Pooler Mandarin Spice ink. Then, I added the words to either side and stamped them with black ink. I used a paper trimmer to trim the sentiment down into a strip. For the banner edge, I used the tip of my scissors.

Now the fun part! Adding all the images and sentiment to the scene! I used 3D foam squares behind all the images and sentiment and then assembled them onto the card!   

I love how this little scene turned out! The little sweater is just TOO cute on that little mouse!
