Happy Howl-o-ween Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and we are getting ready for the spooky season with this fun ‘Howl-o-ween’ card using almost all the sweet dressed up dogs from the Happy Howl-o-ween stamp and die set. I loved these cuties so much that I went with a card design that could feature six of them!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Happy Howl-o-ween card by Tina Henkens (featuring Window Trio Dies, Frilly Frame Dies)

To start, I die cut a panel from white card stock with the outer border of the Frilly Frames Stripes Die. In my stash I found a giant spiderweb stencil and used it to ink up the panel with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide. For extra interest, I added a few black ink splatters with a small paint brush.

Once the ink was dry, I ran the panel twice through the die cutting machine with the Window Trio Square Dies, thus obtaining 6 windows for my critters.

Next, I prepared a white card base and added 6 matching squares from two patterns of the Subtle Grey Tones pack. I have used these papers so many times before, they give that extra little texture to your card without being too busy! Then I could layer the purple panel with small foam tape strips for dimension.

After selecting 6 cute dogs and some accessories from the Happy Howl-o-ween stamp set, I browsed through my stash and also selected the witch hat, the cauldron (Bewitching stamps) and some small pumpkins (Truckloads of Love).

All the coloring was done with my trusty Copic markers and white gel pen details made the images pop even more. I played around with the placement of the dogs and the pumpkins trying to evenly spread the colors over the panel. Once happy with the positioning, I mounted all the critters and accessories with foam tape to the window frames.

My sentiment was taken from the Happy Howl-o-ween stamp and stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I think it’s a perfect match for this card. Adding a few Crystal clear Jewels finishes this sweet project.

I can’t wait to see all these adorable dogs featured in your projects! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Card with Amanda

Hey there, friends! It's Amanda here sharing a card I made using some of the New Release items! Although I love that this release has some fabulous Fall and Winter products, I'm really not ready for the weather to turn cold! Are you looking forward to it or hanging on to the summer, like me?! I am sharing this cheery card that will be perfect for the beginning of the school year! Every teacher deserves a handmade card in my book!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple & Wood Barrel Teacher Appreciation Card by Amanda Fitterer (featuring Punny Apple Greetings)

To create this card, I started by swiping my Catherine Pooler Rockin' Red ink over some white card stock. Then, I die-cut some of the new Crisp Apple Dies. Once they were cut, I used Cranberry Fizz ink to make the edges darker. For the leaves, I used Melon Ice and the stems are Sand Castle.

Next, I die-cut the new Wood Barrel Dies. For the barrel, I used Copic markers to create even more dimension. I used C3, C5, and C7 for the metal bands. I used E30, E31, E34, and E35 for the wood. For my background, I trimmed a piece of paper from the Joyful Holiday Paper Pack to 4"x5.25". I adhered this paper to my A2 card base.

Now for the tricky part ... Getting my apples in the barrel! I played around with them until I was happy with how they looked and then put 3D foam squares behind them. I also propped up my barrel with 3D foam tape.

Once I had my card looking good, I could create my sentiments! I used the new Punny Apple Greetings Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiments on black card stock using a WOW! Embossing Pad.  I applied white embossing powder and then melted the powder with my heat tool. I used a trimmer to cut the sentiments out and then applied foam tape to the backs of them. I adhered them to my card and then added some sequins for a little bit of extra fun!

I think my kiddo's teacher is going to love this card! I hope you enjoyed my card and feel inspired to make something crafty yourself now!

Thanks for stopping by the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today! Hope you have fun shopping the new goodies from the New Release!

Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card with Leanne

Hello everyone! Leanne here and I'm excited to start sharing cards showcasing the new fall products. I've made a fun apple theme card created with the Crisp Apple dies and Punny Apple Greeting stamp set

Sunny Studio Stamps: Crisp Apple & Punny Apple Greetings Card by Leanne West (featuring Brilliant Banner Dies, Scalloped Square Dies)

I started with a white mini slimline card base that measures 3.25 inches wide by 6.25 inches tall. I added a panel of red Classic Gingham patterned paper that I trimmed down so there would be a 1/4 inch white border. I die cut three scalloped squares and adhered them to the gingham panel. I used the smallest die in the Scalloped Square 2 large die set to create the squares.

I die cut all the pieces needed to create 3 whole apples with the Crisp Apple dies. These were die cut from white card stock and then colored with ink and small blending brushes. I blended the ink starting on the outside edges and applying lighter going toward the center. That is how I get the highlighted area in the center of the apple.

I used the tiny blossom dies from the Strawberry Patch set to make a few white flowers to add the card. I used the Brilliant Banner 3 dies to make a banner to stamp the "apple-solutely" word. All the words used to complete the greeting and the smiley face are included in the Punny Apple Greeting set.

Autmnn Garland Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh. I am so excited to be back with my first post as a member of the Sunny Studio Stamps Design Team. I am honored and beyond thrilled to have officially joined the team.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greetings Fall Themed Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Stitched Rectangle Dies)

Autumn Greetings! Today, my card features the gorgeous new Autumn Garland set. This beautiful image is just perfect for the upcoming fall season. And the best part ... a layered look without the need to layer or mask! I had so much fun coloring up this one with all of the rich fall colors.

I stamped the image from the Autumn Garland stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink and used the coordinating Autumn Garland Dies to die cut it out. I colored it with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Pinecones: E53/33/35/37/39/29
Pine needles: YG63/67
Green Leaves: YG21/23/25
Yellow Leaves: Y13/15/17/38
Orange Leaves: Y17/38 YR04 R24/27
Red Orange Leaves: Y38 YR04 R24/27
Berries: Y38 YR04 R24/27/59

Sunny Studio Stamps: Autumn Greetings Fall Themed Card by Hanh Nguyen (featuring Stitched Rectangle Dies)

This is such a beautiful image with so many intricate details that I wanted to keep the card design clean and simple to give all of the attention to the garland. The largest die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies was used to diecut the white panel. I stamped the word "Greetings" from the set directly onto the front panel with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. I adhered a piece of craft foam to the backside of the panel before adhering the panel to a piece of brown cardstock.

Next, I stamped the word "Autumn" from the set with Versamark Watermark ink and gold heat embossed it onto a piece of white cardstock. The coordinating die was used to diecut the word "Autumn" and 2 additional blank die cuts, which I then used to layer and adhere to the back of the embossed word to add a bit of dimension and interest.

I adhered the garland and "Autumn" onto the panel with liquid adhesive before adhering the panel to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"). A few matching jewels from the Bright Jewels Mix were added to the card for a little sparkle.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Be sure to check out the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop for more info and inspirations. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.
