Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today I am back on the blog with a card featuring the sweet Love Birds stamp and die set. There are two pairs of birds in this set, and they are both super cute. Although it’s still very much cold and rainy outside, I wanted to create a happy Spring card with lots of flowers.
My background is made from white card stock and cut with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Stripes die. Next, I inked up this panel with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and a brick stencil from my stash. To create a border, I die cut the piece with a smaller rectangle from a nesting die set and mounted both pieces to a white card base.
As a scene for my sweet birds I
added a window from the Wonderful Window Dies and backed it with a piece of light blue paper. I
also cut the flower box and a bunch of small flowers from this set (and a few
from the Gift Card Envelope Dies).
Then I stamped and cut the birdies
and branch from the Love Birds stamp. All the images and the flowers were colored with my Copics in fun colors. I
used shades of pink and blue and they work so well together.
Next, I added the branch and birds to the scene. And finally, I started layering the flowers onto the branch and inside the flower box. The sentiment was selected from the Love Birds stamp set and stamped onto a small white strip with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Finally, I sprinkled a few Chrystal Clear Jewels as embellishments.
