Hello Sunny Studio friends, Marieke here. Today I hope to inspire you with a mini slimline card.
This time around I started with stamping the images out of the Ocean View, Kiddie Pool and Fabulous Flamingos. Colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching dies. Added a few white gel pen details and using a paint marker I added the seafoam.
Used Copic Colors:
Water - B18, B16, BG15, BG13, BG11
Sand - E43, E42, E41, E40
Hair / Tree Trunk - E59, E57, E55, E53
Crab - R29, R24, R22, R20
Pink RV17, RV14, RV13
Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13
Orange - YR09, YR68, YR04
Green - YG67, YG63, YG03, YG01
Coconuts - E47, E44, E43 / E81
Skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21
Chair - E37, E35, E33, E31
Gray / White - C5, C3, C1
Cut a white rectangle and added Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink on it. Heat set the sentiment out of Fabulous Flamingos and Heartfelt Wishes. Added the ink blended panel onto a top fold white base card.
Added the Ocean View image on the card using foam tape. Adhered the leaves and the boy on the card and the crab got a bit of foam tape as well.

Hey crafty
friends, Marine here, I'm back
with more Christmas in July inspiration! Today I'm featuring the gorgeous Ocean View stamp set,
and we're going to stretch out our supplies by turning a snowman from Feeling Frosty into
a sandman!
I started off with the coloring. I stamped the Ocean View image on a large piece of cardstock, and colored it using my alcohol markers. And I picked a few additional stamps from different sets to complete my scene:
Christmas Critters:
the Christmas hat
Farm Fresh:
a crow that will become a seagull
Balloon Rides:
the sun
Savanna Safari:
the small rocks + grass
I wanted both crabs to look at the sandman. One of them was already looking in the right direction, but the other one was not. So I stamped a third crab and cut his eyes off, and I stuck those eyes on the second crab to make him look at the sandman.
I trimmed the Ocean View panel into a 5,5 x 4,25" portrait panel, and then used the coordinating die to get rid of the top of the panel. I also cut a piece of Spring Sunburst pattern paper to make the sky, and I attached both pieces on a card base.
I stamped my sentiment at the bottom of the panel using words from two different sets: "Have a" + "Christmas" from Lazy Christmas, and "Clawsome" from Best Fishes to get the following phrase "Have a clawsome Christmas". And next I attached all the images on the panel using foam squares.
As always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, I added a bunch of dots on the ocean lines to bring a reflection effect to the waves, and that's it! I hope this card will inspire you to stretch out your supplies! As always you are more than welcome to check the process video for more details (click on the image above). Thank you so much for stopping by, and see you next week.
