Hi crafty friends, Sara here! Today I am really thrilled to be here again, guesting for Sunny Studio Stamps! I love their products, they are always so funny and sweet! For my guesting spot, I made two cards, showcasing their recently released Big Panda stamp. So, let's dive into the first one!
I really love their "big" animals, you may remember I used the bear in my last guesting spot. Recently, they came out with that Big Panda and with the Punny Fruit Greetings, which made me think to pair that panda with the previously released Berry Bliss stamp set.
I stamped the panda with Memento Black ink and I colored him with Copics (N9 – N8 – N7 – N6 – N5 – N4 for the darker areas and W2-W0 for the white areas) and I die cut him with coordinating dies. Then I created all the berries using the stamping tool, carefully choosing the different colors of each palette from my stash. I firstly die cut all of them from white cardstock, then I used a sort of "template" I made (from a piece of paper I die cut the berries, and then I used it to position the berries in the same place in the stamp positioner every time) to stamp each layer of color.
I then moved to assembling the card: I took a 4"x 5,25" lilac cardstock and I used the Dotted Diamond Portrait Die to add the texture on it. Then I arranged the fruit in a sort of wreath and I let the panda come out from the bottom right corner. I added the sentiment which comes from the Punny Fruit Greetings and I added some white and red pearls here and there. To complete the card, I layered an A2 piece of white cardstock behind. And here's the finished result!
My second and last inspiration for today features the same Big Panda, but I paired it with the Big Bunny.
Aren't those giant animals the cutest?? This time, I started from the sentiment of the card: I wanted to use the big SUMMER word included in the Big Panda stamp set and I looked into the Punny Fruit Greetings how to complete it. I found the "friends make life sweet" which was perfect, so I stamped the Big Panda and the Big Bunny on a piece of white cardstock. I colored them with Copics (Panda: N9 – N8 – N7 – N6 – N5 – N4 - W2-W0 , Bunny: E44 – E43 – E42 – E41 – E40 – E15 – E11) and I used the coordinating Big Panda dies and Big Bunny dies to cut them.
I also stamped 2 pairs of sunglasses and I colored with Copics too, but I ended up fussy cutting the black lens inside and layered a piece of acetate behind, which I colored with Copic 100: look how cool they look because of the transparency.
To complete the scene,
I needed to add something in their arms...and what's better than ice cream? I
used the layering Two Scoops Stamp to create the ice-creams, I love
those layering stamps because the result is always real!
I then assembled everything on a 4"x4" piece of white cardstock, I used a slightly larger piece of Spring Sunburst Paper and layered it behind the larger Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies which I inked with coordinated Distress Oxides (Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Twisted Citron, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet). And here's the finished result!
Thanks for stopping by! I really hope you will like my project and you will be inspired to create something! Hugs from Italy!
