Love Birds Card with Bobbi

Love is in the air with the new Love Birds stamps and dies by Sunny Studio Stamps. Sending some love could not be any cuter with these sweet birds on a branch. The flowers and leaves fit perfectly on the branch to make a “sweet tweet” scene! It’s Bobbi here sharing this lovable card perfect for a special valentine, wedding or anniversary greeting.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped, colored, and die cut the birds, branches and flowers. I colored the birds using Booo, B00, E50, R00, YR68, YR07 and C08. I used YG67, YG17 and YG03 for the leaves and Y19 for the yellow centers. The branch was colored using E49 and E55.

I cut two scallop hearts using the Scalloped Hearts die set from white cardstock. I assembled the bird/branch scene on the largest of the two hearts and used foam tabs to attach the love birds. I stamped three hearts between the birds and colored them in pink. I stamped leaves and daisies on the smaller sized heart. I stamped the sentiment, “love birds” in black ink on the larger of the two hearts. I set both hearts aside to work on the background.

For the background, I used pattern papers for the top and bottom using papers from the Joyful Holiday paper pack (the gingham paper) and the Sweater Weather paper pack (for the cable knit design.) I added two 1/8″ strips of white and pink to finish the seam between the patterns. Both hearts were attached using foam tabs to make them stand out from the background. I used a white Gelly Roll pen to add white highlights to the leaves.
