Hello crafty friends, Tina here with a festive Christmas card featuring the beautiful Pretty Poinsettia stamp and die set. These layering stamps create the most stunning flowers!
I went with a favorite holiday color combo of pink, red and teals for the flowers and the leaves. These are such beautiful winter tones. I stamped 5 flowers and a bunch of the two leaves that the set provides. As always with layering stamps, I used the image sheet the stamps come on to help me position the layers. I added a few white dots with my gel pen on the flowers for extra detail.
To make the flowers really stand
out, I opted for a white background but with a festive detail. This panel was
made by combining two die sets.
I started by die cutting the outer portion of the beautiful Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace dies. Next, I used the striped part of the Frilly Frames Stripes die to complete the background. Having the opportunity to mix and match these ‘Frilly series’ dies creates endless possibilities!
As I was browsing through the new release, I noticed that the super adorable bear from Holiday Hugs Stamps was just perfect to combine with these festive Poinsettias. I stamped and cut the sweet bear and used matching Copic marker colors. I love that he can hold the sentiment from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp in his paws!
Then I started putting the card
together by gluing the bear to the background panel and adding the sentiment
which was cut with a small circle die from an infinity set.
I arranged the flowers around the
bear and mounted them with foam tape, lastly, I scattered the leaves, filling
the gaps. A few Chrystal Clear Jewels were added as a final embellishment.
